But why the heck would a WHM use one oof the mightiest hammers ever made..?
Why not a DD class instead..?

The question is WHY not? I think since they dont have a WHM with the biggest abilities to solo, THANK GOD they made this weapon for us to be able to solo xp and show off a lil. Yes mind you we cant tell a RDM or NIN we are better than them, but pair us up with this weapon and a Kraken and we will definitely take their breaths away in amazements ^^ I would luv to have this weapon and Rule Eldieme Necropolis and maybe even Gustav Tunnel.

I have seen a video where a WHM soloed a DC to him and won. Man I was amazed, I didnt know we was able to do that at lvl 75, but that Video proved me wrong now im in a race to get lvl 75 and rule some areas. ^^

Hammer-type weapons are WHM-only because WHM cannot use bladed weapons. Their damage is high but the delay is almost as much as a 2-handed weapon. It still takes WHM a long time to kill anything solo because of slow TP gain

Hexa strike is lv67, and is rather like all other multi-hit WS - great against farmable mobs but becomes much weaker as mobs get tougher. Hexa-Strike + hammer = I can do a semi-decent job of soloing now. Magic pots are great fun, so vulnerable to blunt weapons.

This hammer however... /drool.

You HAVE noticed that WHMs use rather devastating weapons known as mauls, hammers, and maces, correct? So why should it make any difference that they happen to receive a godlike artifact version of one? Useful weapons against the undead, for certain, and decent damage dealers on their own.

Besides, take a look at a Hexastriking WHM and tell me they couldn't be awesome DDs with this weapon.
