Summary

You couldn't quite make out what Kenapa-Keppa was trying to say but you guess he wants you to go pick up something from Mhaura. This doesn't look like your ordinary delivery job...?

Walkthrough

Talk to Kenapa-Keppa over and over until he starts to repeate himself. He will eventualy give you this quest. Go to Mhaura and look for Kotan-Puritan. She appears at night near the ticket booth. She will give you some luggage to take back. You then have to make it back to Windurst Waters before dawn. This is hard to do without having a way to teleport. Talk to Kenapa again for your reward.

Animal Edit: Talk to him at 07:00 Game Time. I tried flagging this quest at 5:00 game time, and it wouldnt activate for me. however, after looking on line, I was trying a little before 7:00. a post farther down suggested 7:00, and once I waited, that worked.

I too had to do the Food for though quest first. You also need high enough fame to do this one so if you can't get it, do other missions till your fame is up. You can check your fame at the Timbre Timbres Tavern in Windurst Waters, talk to Zabirego-Hajigo.

If you just need it for nin/sam and are high level enough, you can also just head north in the tahrongi canyon to the crag, get a chocobo, and breeze the rest of the way.

Made it with 4 game hours to spare ^^

Ok, first thing, that NPC in Mhaura spawns by 20:00. My advice would be to get yourself there BEFORE then, so you have the full 8+ game hours to get back. If you are from Windy, have completed the supply quest to the Koloshu Region, and Windy controls Koloshu, just head back to the outpost in Bubu and teleport back. This brough me into Port Windurst right near the zone to Waters (and close to the completion of this quest). I was done by 22:30 using no warps, just the teleport.

/em screams like a banshee and kicks the taru. I missed it by 5 in-game minutes. Can i get him to give me the quest again?
Is it losable?

When the stuttering guy offered me the quest, I turned it down cause I was uncertain of the time pressure. Now I can't get him to offer it again... have I lost it forever? Also, what happens if you don't make it in time?

I picked up the Item in Mhara at 18:10....
And while running back through, my dog pulled the phone line out of the wall. Grabbed another phone line, reconnected and was back running by 2:00. Ran to the crag, picked up a choco, and made it back at 5:03.

I think the time limit stops at dawn, which I figure is probably around 6:00

anyways, quest completed

i got there at 3h02 by running there with the occasional Flee... but it was still good!
Warp/Teleport ^^

My server had control of the Tahrongi/Buburimu Region, and I had completed supply quest to the buburimu outpost to be able to use the teleport service.

I had set my Bind point at the outpost, gotten the quest in town, warped back to the outpost, walked to Mhaura, made the delivery, warped again to the outpost, and used the teleport service back to town. Super fast. It's also a good way to do Mission 5.

You can do supply deliveries by talking to the gate guards (the ones that also give signet), one of the options is to do a supply quest. You can't use the teleport service unless you have made a supply delivery to the region you want to port to.

Scrolls of Instant Warp just went down to 750 CP. Why lose the XP? Takes you back to your homepoint, just like dying, only no XP hit and no worrying about changing classes.

RE: Why die?

I second the notion, this is the best way to go.. scroll of warp does it every time.

Why lose the conquest points?

Just switch to a level one job and you'll lose no experience and no conquest points. It's not like it's hard to avoid aggro.

Free ride when you die
# Dec 16 2003 at 4:30 PM Rating: Good
I'm too lazy to run, but can you pick up the quest then switch job to level 1 after getting the quest, bind homepoint in Winderst. Run to Mhaura, pick up the quest item then get killed. So you get a free ride? Just a thought.

No place in Mhaura to change jobs, that I know of. Still, as other posters have pointed out, the run back to Windhurst Waters should be doable in the alotted time if you avoid aggro.

Pick up luggage and get out of town> Buburimu Penninsula, east to> Tahrongi Canyon, then South to> W. Saru, then south to> Windurst

i have to point out that you don't need to do the "say it with flower" quest before you can get this quest.
becuz i was asked to do this quest (but i refused...i was very low level) before i even start the "say it with flower" quest...
9 Hours
# Dec 08 2003 at 4:33 PM Rating: Default
Did this quest easily in 9 game hours with no chocobo (IMO you waste nearly as much time running in the wrong direction to the crag for a choco as you save once you get it). Just always pick up the luggage right at 18:00 (and definitely no later than 19:00-20:00) and you have plenty of time for a foot journey. And know the fastest route through Tahrongi (W entrance, left, left, right) and East Sar.

The real limiting factor is going to be whether or not you can survive a sprint from Mhuara to the Tahrongi Zone. Its actually not all that hard, because most of the mobs are not to hard to outrun if you have autorun on the whole time and take a very straight path (you can actually get and stay out of their range this way). Fear Tinkerers who about 1 time in 3 open the aggro with a Bind spell. Should be doable by as low as a level 10, but Tahrongi aggros might ***** you up in that case. 15 is safer. Of course if you are not sure whether or not you will survive just set your home point in windy and then if you are unlucky you still can finish the quest.

Absolutely no need for a warp scroll or chocobo or intentionally dying to do this quest. (Though obviously if you are a high leveler in it for the fame point and you happen to have warp of course you would use it)
Delivery Time
# Dec 07 2003 at 2:55 PM Rating: Decent
This quest is fairly easy if you run to crag and hop on a chocobo on the way back to Windurst. I picked up the quest delivery item at 19:00 and arrived at the Rhinostery at 2:55

It takes about 4-5 Game hours to make the run.

It is not too difficult to avoid the goblins. Everything else seems to be less agressive.
Fastest way there?
# Nov 22 2003 at 3:22 AM Rating: Default
Hi,

So what IS the fastest way to get TO Mhaura? If we try the "just die" trick, we have to somehow survive getting TO Mhaura first, right? :)

I'm only Level 11, so no Chocobo. Do I have to just suck it up and walk there from Windhurst?

And once there, is there a Mog House we can stay at to change to the lowest job possible? :)
RE: Fastest way there?
# Dec 01 2003 at 11:38 AM Rating: Default
You don't need to get to mhaura fast. I waited a whole day before even trying the quest. The trick is to get to Mhaura sometime during the day. The delivery doesn't start til its nightfall at around 6pm(1800). Now you have to run back to him before 6am in the morning. I made it with about 5 mins to spare, but I sort of made some detours on the way. It was actually pretty easy to run back as long as you know your way and high enough level not to agro anything

There is another quest involving the Rhinostery.

"Say It With Flowers"

Starts with the sad boy located at A-13 in Windhurst Waters. Submitted the quest.

After you do the "Say It With Flowers" quest, leave the zone. Come back later and talk to Kenapa-Keppa to get this quest.

May be fame related as we completed about 4 quests between SIWF and this one.

Same deal here as a lvl 5 monk.

I have completed the food quest, and now all he replies with is: '...<grin>.'

Is that the thing he is supposed to be repeating over and over?

I guess you could get the luggage, after having your home near windhurst waters, then die to get back fast... I guess I'll try it.

Worked.

Recommend changing to your lowest class to save on loss of experience.

If you talk to her before 1800 hrs she says it can't be brought out into the light.

At 1800 hrs, she gives you a small bag (key item). Run outside. Die. Respawn in town. Run to Kenapa-Keppa. He trades the bag for the power gi.
yep died ;) Not that bad at 12
