Mission Orders

Determined to enact her odious plot to conquer all of Vana'diel, Domina Shantotto has unleashed her army of clones. Defeat them all lest you and your companions be reduced to bones!

Walkthrough

Gather a party together, and click on the burning circle and select "Battaru Royale" to start the fight.

The fight is 30 minutes long, with a max party of six. Buffs wear on entry, and any Crystal Saps gathered together disappear upon entry as well. If fight is lost, at least one Crystal Sap must be regathered in order to do it again. People who are helping with the fight cannot gather the Crystal Saps, which means you only need one person with the saps to get the benefit of all 8. That person needs to start the BCNM.

Inside, there are eight Tarutaru fomor-type mobs (Clone of Flames, Clone of Sparks, Clone of Torrents, Clone of Glaciers, Clone of Lights, Clone of Boulders, Clone of Shadows, and Clone of Gusts).

Each has between 6751-6872 HP. They have fomor-type moves, including TP-reset, AoE Drown, and Aegis Schism (Def Down), in addition to each of them being able to cast their particular element's Ancient Magic spell. When one of the mobs gets to 50% HP, it will use it's own Elemental Avatar's Astral Flow. If that corresponding Sap Crystal was collected, the damage will be negated down to around ~200 HP. With Shell 4 and Magus roll damage was zero to 200.

If you wipe during this fight, the aggro range for the Tarutarus is almost on top of them so as long as you are away from where they are at the beginning its to an issue to just Reraise.

Went in with WHM, BLM, MNk/NIN x 2 (all at 75), and won without too much trouble.

Opened with the Black Mage who Sleepga II'd the mobs, and then attacked the mobs in the order: Dark > Wind > Ice > Element of the Day > Others x 3 > Light.

Another strategy is to just super tank kite them. They run slow and cast often so with movement speed it was beyond a joke. Without movement sped it should be fine but as always it helps. I kited them as COR/NIN without an difficulty.

Once they all died, another cutscene happened, gained Temporary Key Item: Chocobo Key, 700 EXP, and the next mission started automatically.
