The yellow rock is found under materials goldsmithing, not alchemy. Just a helpful hange.

Ive tried it but she tells me her Moogle says they have no more room, is this because of fame or what. Ive done it on other characters with no problem

Same thing happened to me with a mule. It took a while to realize that I'd already done the quest!

Zone into the Mog House and make sure you don't have the option to exit to all four Jeuno zones.

I just did this one. There were several Yellow Rocks for sale on the AH, and I was on my way out at the time. Cost me just 1k. Easy quest, slightly time saving, though Jeuno's not nearly as useful as say Windurst.

I found that this helps out a lot when using the Warp Taru in Al Zahbi, because instead of walking all the way around to exit Ru'Lude Gardens, you merely go to your right and the Mog Houses are right there. Not an extremely important matter, but it rids you of a small nuisance.

People that log out of at their mog house. Since they will already be in their mog house when they log back in they can just go stright to the zone they want without worrying about which direction it is or what part of town they entered from.
Moving from one area to the next
# Oct 25 2005 at 9:37 PM Rating: Decent
This is a good quest for the one's that are in and out of Jeuno on any regularity. Being able to move from one area to the next simply by entering your mog is a wonderful idea!

# Feb 22 2006 at 7:18 PM Rating: Decent
agreed... though for Jeuno it's a bit redundant since you waste the same amount of time going in and out when you can simply go up the stairs.

but bastok, windy and sandy... that's something different :)

ok so how does this work? IM not to sure yet.....u can go to any city zone from ur moghouse? is this just in jeuno or can i go from sandy MH to windy? sorry i just dont under stand this ; ;

When exiting your mog house in Jeuno, you have the option to exit it to Port Jeuno, Lower Jeuno, Upper Jeuno or Ru'Lude Gardens. There are similar quests for the other towns, but the exits only let you go to different sections in the same town. Hope this helps!
Don't fully underestimate this quest...

Thanks to being able to zone into my house from any zone, change job to what I needed for a particular situation, and zone back out to Port Jeuno... I've managed to catch a ton of airships right before they left their docks, airships I'm sure I'd have missed if I was forced to rezone back out into the same one that I had entered in.

The 2 or so minutes it takes to do this quest can save you tons of minutes, and gradually maybe even hours, of waiting at the docks, depending on how much you make use of the airships.

this one doesn't seem as useful as the ones for the other towns... since the mog houses are so close anyways, if you're in port and want to goto lower, it's faster to walk straight there
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 03 2004 at 9:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok i have level 8 jeuno fame but couldnt get this quest... WTF... i talked to her she talked about gardening but no new quest showed up on my log, can anyone tell me why?
RE: wtf
# Jul 17 2004 at 12:08 PM Rating: Decent
i don't think anything will show up on your quest. i don't remember anything from before (other mog exit quests). after you talked to the girl did you try to just go ahead and trade her the rock?? it should work.

another reason i don't think it'll show up under quests is b/c you won't get a title for copmleting the "quest" either

yes she just mumbles as you first initiate conversation something about a pretty yellow rock. Trading one to here will get you the ability.
I'd be more apathetic, if i wasnt so lethargic...
# Jan 27 2004 at 2:35 PM Rating: Decent
If you want to do this quest for its ability it isnt totally out of laziness, lets say that you came into Upper Jeuno and wanted to do some xping in Quifim, well as most of you probably know you get there from Port Jeuno, well in order to get there you have to go through two load areas, if you go to your mog house and then exit right into the port then you've also got to go through two load areas (1 enter, 1 exit) BUT! it takes more time to run from stair to stair then it does to run into house, check what you've sold on your leet auction, make sure you got all your gear, and then exit and youre right there! so you now have spent less time running, and more time making sure that youre set to gain the xp that you need, who knows, w/ the time that you've saved somebody else might have gotten that PT invite, and you'd be SOL w/ no exp :( arent you glad that you did the quest now?

thank you for brightening my day with a Family Guy reference (or New Yorker reference, whichever). and yes, thanks for laziness justifications as well

I dont pay much attention when I'm gardening but i grew 2 yellow rocks from vegetable seeds in a ceramic pot without a crystal. I think. I really should pay more attention with my gardening.

The point is not that the residential areas are close to each other and other zones...the point is, to do more quests.

Just like the bastok zinc ore quest (ninja/tenshodo), why turn in 50 ore to that NPC instead of selling the ore? b/c you want to complete that quest and get tenshodo support. One more quest, more fame per turn in, so you dont have people asking..how much fame do i need for x quest? Because they already got it by doing other quests.

So this is the reason.
not worthless
# Jan 08 2004 at 2:42 PM Rating: Decent
I have a friend whos computer "zones" very slowly...this is of great advantage for him since his zone time is directly porportional to the amount of information (number of characters) are in the next zone....being that jeuno seems to be the hang out of the century this is very useful
RE: not worthless
# Jan 19 2004 at 11:29 AM Rating: Default
seems to me that your friend don't need this quest, he need a NEW computer! there is my two pennies
No level requirement
# Dec 25 2003 at 2:05 AM Rating: Good
Much like the similar quests in the other cities, this quest is never actually assigned to you. Simply give the NPC the item and the quest is done. It's almost like an Easter Egg type of quest.
Fame?
# Dec 21 2003 at 2:33 PM Rating: Default
What is the fame requirment to do this quest
Little Yellow Rock?!

Dang it, I had Harvested a little yellow rock from a plant that I grew. Forgot the name if it, but sold for 2000g. = /
Or Maybe...
# Dec 15 2003 at 11:40 AM Rating: Default
Just maybe they just the fame so they can get other quests and *gasp* aren't lazy at all?
Laziness
# Nov 30 2003 at 5:59 AM Rating: Decent
In other cities this is useful but in Jeuno you have to be really really lazy to want to do this quest. The residential area are right next to all the steps leading to other parts of the city.
RE: Laziness
# Jan 06 2004 at 3:52 PM Rating: Default
So... what you guys are saying is that someone is lazy because they do this quest? That makes very little sence... just like you said "residential area are right next to all the steps leading to other parts of the city"... so how would it make them lazy if they went out of their way to do a quest thats usless, as you say... I think it's the oposite of lazy actually... the lazy, I think, would not do the quest because "residential area are right next to all the steps leading to other parts of the city"...

This quest also gives the all mighty fame...
RE: Laziness
# Apr 11 2007 at 7:26 AM Rating: Decent
i think its not lazy ppl doing this quest because its not right off the stairs its a little longer than that ^^ and i think its good because it raises fame even if its that tiny little bit it helps and its there when you need and you dont have to use the special new MH facilites it brings, am i right??
RE: Laziness
# Dec 11 2003 at 6:54 PM Rating: Decent
Well, ^^...If you think about it...
The person must be a lazy person to do this quest just to be able to exit out of any place in Jeuno, instead of going up and down the stairs which is just as fast as going in and out of the mog house. Funny how they bothered to find the item to complete the quest instead of just going up and down the stairs like most people would. Also, another reason to do this quest is to raise your fame in Jeuno, or you just happened to have a Yellow Rock in pocession that you'd like to get rid of. ^^
RE: Laziness
# Jan 19 2004 at 7:45 PM Rating: Decent
the point is NOt about being lazy or not, who the hell cares about that, it is about doing the quest for its own sake. If you are not into that part of the game, then don't do it.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 19 2003 at 3:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Let me get this straight... so if I enter my Mog House in San d'Oria, I can exit to Bastok or Windhurst?
RE: ANY City Zone?
# Nov 19 2003 at 3:30 PM Rating: Default
no.. it is similar to the Windurst, Bastok, and San d'Oria quests. you can exit from the different areas of that town.. like you enter the mog house in south San d'Oria and exit to North San d'Oria
RE: ANY City Zone?
# Dec 10 2003 at 1:39 PM Rating: Default
That would be cool though... lol
