Chululu's fortune telling, simply input the name of your partner for caompatibility testing.

I did:

Miasama(myself): Of course you're compatible with yourself! Hello?!
Kurou-Morou: What? With that creep? Over my dead body!
Chululu: What? With me?! Spare me.

Just something to laugh at xD

If you try to enter an NPC's name (like Saprut, standing nearby in Jeuno), you get "Hold on there! I can't divine you with that partner." It seems to work with an NPC like Runga-Kopunga as well, who only appears in a cutscene.

If anyone wants to trade me this card for the 'king' card, please send me a /tell. I am on midgard and am usually on during the day since I have been checking on my choco. I am on in the evenings too until late(around midnight EST) I have been trying to find the 'death' card and the 'hermit' one. I am willing to do a straight trade(since that's what we are supposed to do) So, if anyone wants to trade, please send me a tell

Thanks!

You don't have to be in a party for her to tell your fortune. I wasn't in a party and when she asked for a name to be put in the password... all I did was enter a name (Pronoun: Case Sensitive) and she told me that we were compatible but not to expect much.

If you can't get the quest. Do some minor quests like the light one or do the selbina quest with the Boyohda Moss and gain fame in Bastok, Sandy and Jueno at the same time.

Just a thought.

My question is how do you get these cards? I see people talking about putting them in your bazaar for trading but where/how do you get them in the first place...
Cards?
# Sep 25 2007 at 7:39 PM Rating: Decent
When you first start the quest, she gives you 5 of one kind of card, then you're supposed to trade them with other people to collect all 4 different kinds to give to the NPC. Eventually you'll be left with 1 card, you can do whatever you want with it.

I'm in the same boat as one of the April commenters:

I dropped my cards ages ago. Now I need to do this quest as a pre-req for the Sleega II scroll quest.

How can I complete it now? I guess I can just BUY cards (from bazaars)?

I see i'm a bit late on this, but there undoubtfully other wondering about the same answer. Since it's not repeatable it means you won't get them back... on that character, but you can always grab a mule, get it a little fame and go get that mules cards. Since you can't send these it might be an idea to have a friend hold them for you so you get them to the right character.

I just want to clear up a few points on this. I do believe the names are case sensitive, so capitalize the first letter. You DO NOT need to be in a pt; you can pick anyone standing around the AH to do the compatibility test. I do think the other person needs to be fairly close by. This is to be done once a game day and after 3 times (and sufficient fame), you should get the next quest, Rubbish Day.

Fear not. It's case sensitive. And spaces will goof it up too I believe. I bet that will fix your troubles. Don't worry. It's not you. It's the dumb taru.

Stick it in your bazaar. Then just carry on as normal. People asked for a trade and then after about 2/3 days. I had all four.

3 times?! I'd done Chocobo License quest once and this quest 17 times before I was able to get this quest or Gobbiebag.

This quest, like Gobbiebag I, requires fame level 2.

So I completed the quest and when I talk to Chululu she promts me to enter a password of who I want my compatability tested with. I was in a party of 4 and each time I entered a name she said "that person doesn't seem to be close by" (something along those lines) when in fact my other party members were right next to me getting their fortunes told! What am I doing wrong??? Please help!!

tarut cards
# Oct 28 2004 at 1:46 PM Rating: Decent
If your havign trouble gettign all 4 seperate cards, then try this.

first, gettign your second card should be pretty easy being that theres a 4 to 5 chance another trader will have a card you need, also they may not need the card you have. So explain to them that if they have two cards of another they dont need it will up the chances that they will have a tradable card needed by someone who had the card they need. This applies to your own deck as well. I hope this is understandable.

They are not selling them! They are displaying that they wish to trade. If you find someone with a card you need, offer them a trade.

RE: Collecting Cards

This quest isn't very hard, you can use two way to complet it:
1.
Set the card you want to trade into you bazaar for max gil (shows others that you dont expect them to actually buy it from you, but its tradable from you).
Thus someone might think "Hey! Just the card I needed!"

2.
Go to Lower Jeuno where you get the quest and shout something in the lines of: "Anyone have any Taru Cards for trade? I have *name of card you have to trade with* in trade."

I personally did both things. Firsts did the bazaar thing, until i had all but one card, then i shouted if anyone was interested in a trade.

All in all, i think i put about 1 hours effort into this quest.

*Tip* When your done with the quest set you last card for sale for about 3-5k gil (people buy it)
Getting cards
# Jun 15 2004 at 2:37 AM Rating: Decent
Put a card in your bazzar for about 99999999 gil. This way people will ask to trade with your card if they see that they need it. Same way for you look at a person bazzar and see if there is a card in it. Ask for a trade. Thats how I got the cards. Also if you lose all of them maybe you can ask someone with extra 5th card to sell it to you or give it out for free. I did that with my fifth card.
Compatability Test
# Jun 06 2004 at 7:09 AM Rating: Decent
The only reward you get from this is more Jeuno fame and having some fun having your compatability fortune read between you and people around you.

I did this with my to-be in-game husband, and she told us that we were somewhat compatable, and that we needed to share our true feelings with eachother more.

He's a Galka, and I'm a Mithra.

Then I asked if I could be compatable with her, and she got huffy and told me off. Then I tried the NPC next to her. That was amusing. Then I tried the NPC across from her, and she said something along the lines of not doing a reading for him because he already had one done and was taken.
