This is a good and easy way to get your fame up high enough for the quest where Novalmauge gives you a scroll of drain. Bat wings can also be found in Zeruhn Mines in Bastok. Tons of bats there.

I did about 1/3 of all the San d'Oria quests and my fame was about 2. But then i decide to do the "Fear of the Dark" quest a bunch of times. I gave him about 10 stacks all together and now my fame is at 6. By the way, he says something to the effect of, "I hear of you often....Continue your good works and you will be on your way to greatness." ....well....something like that anyway. I'll find out and post again later maybe.

Bat wings were selling at 800k a stack the other night in the AH, so i bought as many stacks as i could afford and traded them to him. Fame and Money! Very good.

Simply put, if the AH prices are less than or at 1.2k a stack, or the single prices are less than or at 100 each, buy a lot and trade them in!

Do you mean 800gil, not "800k" for a stack?

I think you do, must be a typo :)

that fame guide posted earlier is BS. its not right. i can tell you for sure that the guy in the windrust tavern does "NOT" say those lines that were posted.

mines started out as

"Still your not making much of a name for yourself"

"so youre the one people are talking about, ive heard good things about you"

"i heard some guys talking about you Over the dinner table last night"

thats as far as i have gotten.

it was translated from japanese (so not very accurate)...just match the closest corresponding answer to check your fame...sometimes you need to use your brain a little and not have everything force fed

Repeated this quest 75 times, and with no other quests done in San d'Oria, it raised my fame to what I believe is the 3rd level of fame (we really need to do a fame guide!)

Then how, when I have only Lvl 3 fame in Windhurst and have done only a few quests in Jeuno, did I get Lvl 7 fame in Jeuno by trading Boyado Moss in Selbina?

The Boyado Moss/La Thiene Cabbage/Millioncorn quest in Selbina is a well known way of raising fame in Jeuno. This guide is wrong.

The guide is wrong, but the selbina quest Raises San d'Oria and Bastok fame aswell as rabao/selbina. Jeuno fame is constructed of San d'Oria, Bastok and Windurst fame.

The guy says i'm famous in sandy, doesn't say that in this guide.

Here's the guide he tried to copy, yet this one is complete.

The true fame guide.

I can't seem to find Secodiand. I've looked around E6 and F6 but can't seem to find. And I have no idea where laborman's area is.

get the Ranger job, its really easy to do. all you need is a chocobo and a scroll of instant warp. sub rng or have it as your main, this gives you wide scan. go into laborman's way and use wide scan. markers of all the NPC's will show up. find Secodiand on wide scan and track him.
Now you know where Secodiand is and you have a new advanced job ^^

In North San, as soon as you get around the exit for West Ron, there are 2 ways you can go. It's a Y shaped area. One goes to the Port San and one goes down the stairs to West Ron. Goto the Port one. After that you will see him right on the rail on the wooden area. He shouldn't be far from the entrance. (the Y entrance, not the Port entrance.)
