dont think so, i can qet the quest and i only have fame in bastok. i have 0 quests completed in other countries.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 19 2004 at 12:14 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i read somewhere that your character's Jeuno fame is equal to the average of your two lowest levels of fame of the 3 main nations. For example, if you have 30 quests in san-D, 0 in Windy and 0 Bastok, you'll have 0 fame in Jeuno. But if you have 30 quests in san-D, 30 quests in Windy, and 0 in Bastok, your Jeuno fame will equal 30/2. However, any quest you do in Jeuno add directly to your Jeuno fame so advanced job and that community service one can be helpful. I built fame in san-D as a resident and Windy over a weekend, and was able to qualify for most of the Jeuno quests. Left Bastok almost completely ignored because they're a bunch of dirty humes.

I dont think is work that way i was able to do my SRE having only fame on windy and like 10 quest on sandriora (with no repetoble) and 1 on Bastok (DRK)
repeats
# Jan 18 2004 at 2:50 PM Rating: Default
yes repeats count, I could not get these quests at first, I went and did various unique quests and then the yagudo necklace quest ~15times and zinc ore ~20 times, went to norg and started all 5 ninjitsu scroll quests, finished 4 of them then came back to jeuno and was able to start the Delkfut Tower Map quest, Custom Outfit gear from the othre gob, and gobbie bag #1 quest. so repeats work, now to just build fame i sandoria so I can do Drain scroll quests lol

Repeats count for fame because there are guides out there that says you have to have to do 20-30 zinc ore runs to Tenshodo in Bastok to get the ninja blink quest to be offered. Hard evidence right there.

wow you got ripped off on the resale of those hides. 120 bucks for 3...or 1000 for 12. I think bat wings would have been cheaper.

the repeatable quests do give more fame (you hear the little music)

other than that, i've also heard, another guideline for this is, 50 quests for first bag, 100 for 2nd bag, 150 for next bag, etc. since repeatable quests count, and jeuno quests may offer more fame, you can of course have less than this and still activate the quest. this is just a guideline.
how many quests?
# Jan 08 2004 at 7:47 PM Rating: Default
Thinking you might have to do several quests from your home city for this one, as someone had suggested...

I've got about 10san 10wind 15bast done, and repeats in the order of 40san (needed drain and had to become famous here) 30wind (crawler farming is my main past time, hand in crawler calculus ^^) 10bast (name tags name tags name tags! love how people put these up for 300-400gil lol) and I cannont get the second gobi bag quest. I'm from bastok btw, guess i need to head back and do some quests.

Where do you get Turquoise? None for sale in any AH
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 26 2003 at 10:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i dont think you all realise that there is a minimum level of 30 for this quest... it doesnt matter how many quests you have done if your not base lvl 30 he wont offer it to you...

How much would you like to lose on a bet on that little statement? Lvl 24, did Gobbiebag #1 and immediately recieved #2 quest... do try to experiment before you assume...

repeatable quests DO count

I've only done 2 quests in Sand'O, but one of them over 50 times and I've got a lot of fame there now
Focus on Jueno Fame

Not sure why people want to do 50+ other cities quest when you need 1/5 that in Jueno Quests.

It took me 5 quests, and 2 repeats, to get the Gobbie bag 1 quest (look under that thread if you want details).

I am guessing it will take the same smaller amount of Jueno Quests for Bag 2.

I know after I got the Gobbie Bag 1 opned up 4 other quest that I found immediately were now opened to me as well and probably another 3 more which are linked that I have to figure out how to trigger the start.

Not like doing mad city quests is a waste of time though cause those are still needed for other sruff.

Well... since I'm planning on getting a good amount of my summons before I start leveling my summoner, I need a lot of fame wherever I go, not just Jeuno. I take as many repeat quests wherenever I can do them and so far I have done pretty well. I haven't gotten up to the point yet where I can get an avatar quest yes, but I'm getting there.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 18 2003 at 1:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hate to break it to you but repeat quests do not count! That is a big lie a complete Urban Legend.

Repeats count roughly as 1/3 to 1/2 a fame point.

In bastok I had roughly 9 fame, I did a repeat 2 more times and it unlocked a bunch of 10 fame quests.

You can max out San d'Oria fame on just The Rivalry (lu shangs rod, turn in 10,000 moat carp). Trust me, repeats matter =)

That is not true.

I did the Community Service quest 3 times to get the Gobbie bag 1. I did not other quest, or missions, between 1st time and third time.

1st - Not available
2nd- Not available
3rd - Got quest

I did nothing but exp between 1st and 3rd trys.

Repeatable quest DO MATTER.

Got 3rd quest:

Square of Tiger leather
Gold Ingot
Square of velvet cloth
Painite

I have completed the first two and have about 115 quests completed if you add up all the realms.

More than 28 for sure... ive got 40 done in San Diora non repeated. and 10 in otherplaces. thats 50 total ... still wont give me the second bag. I think i have to have a more average spread of them.

I have 54 non repeat quests, 34 in Windurst and 20 in san d'oria. Several windhurst ones I've done more than once, but did not keep track.

I also had 2 in mhaura, but I guess those don't count. I had no problem getting the first bag upon arriving in jeuno at level 13.

Since then I've done 3 bastok quests, so I'll try later I guess.
