Summary

Norejaie wants you to exterminate an ecological threat and bring her evidence of the feat.

Walkthrough

Norejaie is located in the Lion Springs Tavern at (K-6)

Also potentially referred to in game as the V.E.R.M.I.N. quest. It involves traveling to La Theine Plateau and heading into Ordelle's Caves. There Rojaireaut will "smear a scent on you" (cast a Level Down effect on you) to "draw the beast out" and then you're off to explore the caves and hope whatever jumps out at you.

You have to go to the bottom of Ordelle's Caves to find a stalactite with a ??? tag. When you click on it Necroplasm spawns. Due to the level cap it took two full parties to take down Necroplasm. He hit for around 100 on level 20 warriors. After beating Necroplasm, re-examine the ??? and receive a key item. Go back to the inn in Southern San d'Oria and you get 5,000 gil and a page of the Dragon Chronicles.

Since you receive a level restriction effect, those who don't have the effect can't aid you in any way.

So no.

llTheProphecyll will be setting up a Sandy Eco-Warrior run on Fairy this Sunday, 29 July, at 10 am JST. Anyone interested can meet up with us at the tavern in Southern San d'Oria to join the alliance. Our intent is to make an Eco run every Sunday at this time, usually in Sandy but occasionally we will do the other two as well. Send me a /tell in game if you are interested.

Organization
# Sep 19 2005 at 7:46 AM Rating: Decent
Eco quests are fun and Sandy is definitely the easiest. Experienced organization is the key to a straight-forward exciting quest with winning results for all. If you are not experienced, listen for the shouts to join, come prepared, and learn to lead.

One of our most fun successes was with a party of four, two paladins (sub warrior) and two summoners (sub white mage). All had the quest and proper gear, good food, meds as needed, etc.

Upon entering Ordelle Caves, the two summoners and one paladin took the level-down from the NPC. The remaining paladin cleared the path for the party, and when the room was cleared, ran back to the NPC for the level down. A passing player happened by and helped to clear the room and keep it clear, which was greatly appreciated as it undoubtedly contributed to our success.

As soon as the last player had the level-down, the three players still in the room began the last phase. The two summoners brought up Ifrit, and started Astral Flow. The paladin who remained, tagged the ???, spawning the beast and taking some awesome hits. The summoners had their avatars assault the beast and invoked Inferno, more the half killing the beast and taking some hate from the paladin. One summoner began to see to healing the paladin, using mp he would otherwise have used for Inferno's, while the other summoner conserved mp for subsequent Inferno casting, and kept the avatar assault up to aid the paladin. A minute later, another Inferno, and it was mostly dead. Yet another minute of staying alive, the paladin using Invicible, a final Inferno, and the beast melted away.

To the appreciative cheers of the passing player who truly enjoyed the show, the three present got their key-item from the ???. The paladin in the room took a POL temp log, came back full level, and went back up the npc to escort the remaining level-down paladin to the ??? for his key-item. Not to be in the way, the two summoners item warped out.

We all met back in the city, and discussed ways to improve our plan and timing. It is our sincere hope to be able to escort others through this quest in a safe and exciting adventure on a weekly basis.

Well I heard some /shouts about Eco-Warrior with only 2 slots left in alliance, so I decided that I'd better finish this quest while I had the chance.

Jubejubes and Slitz did a good job of leading our alliances, btw.

Anyway, we fought this Necroplasm with only 14 people, considering 2 died while being noobish on the way and we lost another to d/c. It was not extremely hard.

The WARs voked, a few people used 2 hr., mages healed, fight ended. A few high levels logged out and back in to escort us and give the dead folks there key items. Yays and Woots for everyone!

I don't understand what's going on. I'm from bastok, and wanted to do eco with a friend from sandy, so I went and talked to the elf. She wouldn't give me the quest! Said "Looks like you're busy with other things" or something. I don't have any ecos from other towns, and I haven't done an eco in like 5 months. Anyone have any idea why I can't get it? I know being from bastok doesn't effect it (at least not that I know of) as he got the bastok one just fine!

I've now done this quest twice. The first time, I was a WHM20/No Subjob and it was quite tough... we had several advanced players and still had a death or two. This was also with a 55PLD as a clearer, which makes things a lot easier. I survived though, which was nice. I was casting Cure and Cure II like crazy, and I never once attracted the hate. We did have a full 3 party alliance though.

My second time, we had a split party which was half very experienced, half complete rookie. One player ran off into Ordelle's at the start to get a PLD item, and promptly got himself killed. Everyone was capped at 20 so I had to run back and unrestrict myself, then try to find him and Raise. Sadly I didn't have the map so myself and another (who was guiding me) went to find our dead member, whilst the others carried on with their clearer to the boss area. Anyway, we were nearly there when he logged off and quit the alliance, so we were then stuck for no reason on the wrong side of Ordelle's whilst our alliance was closing in on the Eco-Warrior... anyway, with some deft Sneak and Invisible casting, I ran back with the other player, capped myself again, and we ran like the wind to the Eco-Warrior. Arrived about 30 seconds before the fight began, very quickly healed (whilst our clearer got rid of the Will'o the Wisp) and then proceeded to completely demolish the Jelly. Our PLD cast Invincible, and took all the hate so it was an attacking free for all. At level 20 WHM (the cap) I began with about 183 MP - at the end I still had 150 MP so I managed to get the last hit in - for 38 damage - with Banish and killed the monster ^.^ Our PLD once went to 182 HP but no one else even touched yellow. After the slight mishap early on, a good finale! Then we simply logged off, back in and were un-capped and ready to return. 898 Experience Points later and I was a happy Syldis.

END RESULT: Syldis 2, Blob 0

This can be done with *Gasp* 9 people.

One time while doing this quest, someone had connection lost, we waited a few minutes for them to reutrn and then decided to go on without them; we picked up a straggler to replace him. Anyways, we make it to the stalagmite and the person we left behind had reconnected and ran his way through the cleared path to the stalagmite; we aggreed to do the fight twice so he and everyone else could get the key item.

The first fight was nothing with the full alliance. We heal and med up, then start switching people around to reinvite the new guy, and half the alliance decides to warp and leave us...jerks...and we're caught by surprize when the new guy touches the stalagmite without warning. Luckily, we all jumped into the fight, with myself (NIN/war) and the PLD/war voking to secure hate. The fight was about twice as long as the first, but we all survived and won without anyone dropping past pink. We all gloated for a few minutes over our accomplishment, and then parted ways.

I don't recommend this as the planned attack strategy, but if you have an experienced group you won't need to spend an hour recruiting another 6-9 members.

Looking for experienced Eco-Warriors on Kajuta Server to join a semi-linkshell dedicated to Eco-Warrior. We have a group of 40+ people who like to do this quest weekly. We set two times to do the quest. Sunday 8pm EST, and if you miss that one a last chance to do it on Saturday 8pm EST. More times will be added as needed. /tell Mojomon if interested.

I did the San D'oria eco quest.
Got the gil, and got the dragon chronicles.

I spoke to the guy again, Norejaie.
And he happens to have given me the same quest again, or so it seems.

Is this quest repeatable or something?

It's a Doomed-type mob. If you don't know what a Doomed looks like, it's big, pinkish rubber-looking skinned, and pretty blobby (i.e. fat, reminds me of a pink walkrus).

The eco-warrior quest is easy to do. I have done all three of them and san's is the easiest. Make sure you have a sweeper or the quest will be more dificult to do. Getting there is the hardest part!!!! It takes a while to get an alliance together but it is an easy 5000 gill and 500-100exp.
