In-Game TextDescriptionPlace a bronze bed in your home house and after the next weekly update on Sunday, Moogle will tell you that sleeping in the bed has made him homesick and he would like to take a vacation. However, Moogle is ashamed to go home empty handed. He wants to give Papa Moogle a Power Bow because he likes to enter the archery contest at the fair. Mama Moogle would look very pretty with a Beetle Ring. Poor Moogle asks for your help in finding these items for him. Bring the items to Moogle and he will tell you he will be back in a few days with a gift for you. Not to worry, he won�t disappear. Later, he will return with a shiny new Mog Safe for you. I started this quest a month ago. Spent 17k on bow and ring and I still don't have the extra spcace yet. Did I do something wrong?

I put it on mule. Lvl 1 thf, zero fame and rank poins. Some weeks ago I got the quest. But as faith would have it, I did not have enought money too get the bow, and waitet till i got the moeny, but now the moogle dont want it. And I have been waiting for a long time to get it reactiveted. Any suggestions on how to do it. Or will it be esayer to get a new mule and delete the old one?

1. Your nation does not need to be in any special ranking in conquest (I did it while mine was in 3rd, a friend did it while his was in 1st -- worked both times)
2. You do not need any RANK...great if you're high in rank, but you don't need it.
3. The lowest confirmed fame while doing this quest is 3, unconfirmed there is a report of 2...anything higher is great, but people who tell you that you need anything higher than 3 are poorly informed
4. You need to put the bed in before the conquest update for the week, you must then stay in your home nation, check out NO rent-a-rooms and give him the items without removing the bed or leaving your home city. If you take out the bed or get a rent a room, you lose...you have to get the quest next week.
Emphasis on 4, people get confused and constantly ***** up on that part. I know someone who has tried and failed to get the quest for 2 months because he keeps getting rent-a-rooms in the middle of the quest getting time.

I started this quest a few hours after the conquest update, and I just completed it about 28 hours later. Perhaps you need to talk to him within a time period? Such as 24-36 hours after the quest starts?

Stop mincing words. Rank does NOT mean fame level. Rank means CHARACTER rank. Confusion does not need to be elevated here.

I have been waiting and waiting to get this quest. Had the bed in mog house for about6-8 weeks. When i finally got the quest i noticed that San D'Oria was in 1st place. I am thinking that this could be part of the reason. Your country has to be in a certain overall position to get the quest.

i belive this quest is fame related hoever i dont know what lvl of fame u need i do know that u must talk to ur moogle in ur home country mog house to recieve the quest give him the items wait a few days and then talk to him again in your home country mog house u will not get the quest or the upgrade in a rent a room

ok, im really confused with this.
do i put the bed in the house before the update on sunday then wait till thats done then talk to moogle so he asks for bow and ring then i trade the bow and ring to him, wait another week and then talk to him again to finish quest?
or am i just too dumb to understand what to do?

Yeah this has been a major pain for me too, I currently have Rank 3 fame in my hometown of Bastok, have had the bronze bed for a long ol time, and stil l a good 3 weeks have passed and he still hasn't offered the quest, do you need rank 4 fame? or should I take the bed out and try it again, lol man this is an aggrovating quest lol
I just got this quest, I'm rank7 (I just waited that long because I didn't have the money for the items everytime I wanted to try it, you don't have to be rank 7), but I do believe it is fame related, I did a whole bunch of fame quests, enough to get gobbie bag 2 quest in Jeuno. I put the bed in my MH, and Sunday when I logged in and went into my MH I got the cutscene where he tells you he wants to go home. At this point you trade him the bow and ring and he says thank you. Now I have to wait until he comes back and gives me the Mog Safe upgrade. After this i'm going to do the next one and see if he gives it to me by Sunday of next week. I hope I have enough fame...

still seems confusing, im just gonna keep trying it every time i get a new rank of fame. i think im at rank 2, or was it 3, ah i cant remember all of this stuff it hurts my brain lol
I got the quest, traded the items, and my mog said thank you and that he would return with a gift. Now, I did go to jeuno and use a rent a room AFTER giving mog the bow and ring, but BEFORE recieving the 10 slots. Now mog just says you have faint glow blah blah blah.
Did I ***** it up? Do I have to get the items and trade again? Its been 2 RL days since I traded the items.

I don't think you can ***** it up.
Make sure that you cancel your rent-a-room and talk to your moogle in your home town. Also, make sure that you talk to your moogle by targetting him/it/whatever and activating (which it sounds like you are doing).

So now it's been a month and a half since I placed the bed in my mog house. I've done every sandy quest I physically can do (Im only lvl 30 rank 4 so I cant do some of the high level quests) and week after week I still havent been given the quest. This is really frustrating.
I just wanted to Say that this darn quest isnt working for me. I got the Bed and waited until sunday, and the moogle hasnt said anything to me. And yea I have relatively high fame since I have done the teleport-dem quest in bastok. Can anyone help me out as to why this quest hasnt activated?? Thanks.
I had a similar issue but the quest was fame related. I had the cupboard in my room (for the tea cup) as well as a bed and neither one was giving me the quest. I turned in some bat wings for sandy fame and next update i got the tea cup quest started, I had to wait another week for the mog quest to be activated. Also I notice that the Start Area is Windurst Woods (or perhaps just windurst) I got my tea cup quest from sandy and am from windy so perhaps you require more windy fame or need to be in windy to get the quest. I would increase windy fame to see if that opens it up for you.

I bought the Bronze Bed, waited a few days and got the quest, got Power Bow and Beetle Ring, gave them to the Moogle, and he said thanks blahblahblah. I've been checking 6-7 times in 9-10 hours now, still havent got increased MH space, I did move the bed, but I didnt REmove it.
What is this? Do I have to get the quest again and then get the Bow and Ring again??

Just to answer the question, although I'm sure you've figured it out by now, you don't get the ten spaces until the next conquest update.

Not certain how much fame i have, and as i've been reading, fame is not really a factor. Placed bed in mog house ago today, after the talley on sunday he asked for a break, i said yes, he asked for powerbow and beetle ring..
I did not play at all this week untill today, today i check into a rent a room in Jeuno, then go back and check out of it in bastok.
I go into my MH in bastok and give the mog the Items he says thanks!

Okay, I bought the Bronze bed and placed it in my moghouse about two weeks ago. So now two Sundays have come and gone without the quest being given to me, I'm wondering what I am doing wrong here? I play quite often so visiting the moghyouse shouldn't be the problem. I dunno whats going on.

I read elsewhere on this site you have to have fame level 3 in your home nation to get this quest. I included a link to that post as well.

Hmmm. It used to not give me the quest either, but then I took an entire day off doing other quests - I think you need a decent amount of fame in your nation to get it from the moogle.

Oh man, if I ever see a Moggle in a dark alley way with a Power Bow and a Beetle Ring on him, hes going to eat the might of Thundaga IV!
It really is too bad that I dont really have Thundaga IV... but if I did, I would use it.

Ok I've done this thing on five characters so here's some things I can say for certain:
You don't have to be rank (whatever). My 4 mules are all rank 1 with a completely empty rank point bar.
After you get the quest (IE the moogle asks for the stuff) you may remove your bed from /layout. He's already slept in the damn thing and the quest is in your log. The bed has served it's purpose.
You must log in (and talk to?) the moogle several times before the tally. Before X-mas I sent the bed to a mule, put it in /layout, and logged out for about three weeks as I did the holliday thing IRL (visited folks and such). Came back and the little flying #(*@er would not offer the quest. After that I logged in and talked to the moogle before doing the stuff on my main each time I played. This was about 5 times a week. Got the quest np at next tally. Followed this plan with all my other mules and have had no issues. Don't know if it's talking to them, simply logging in, or just visiting your MH that did it.
You CAN have a rent-a-room before the tally. Appearantly the moogle warps back to Bastok to sleep ^^. Please note that you CANNOT get the quest to trigger in a rent-a-room. Two RL days after the tally, I left Jeuno for Bastok, moved my crap back there, talked to the moogle, and BAM! Quest. Also, I talked to the moogle (as described in the item above) several times in Bastok before moving to Jeuno. I don't know if that's important or not. I did the quest, he said 'wah i need a power bow and a beetle ring' so i trade it to him and he says 'thank you so much be back soon!' so I leave for a while and come back several hours later. The mog is STILL there and didn't give me an upgraded safe. It would be ok if he weren't there and I was expecting a mog safe when he came back, but he's just there, my safe size is 50, he just sits there wackin along saying 'your house glows with faint ice energy' and that's it. Is he supposed to be 'gone' literally, or what's the deal. Why is he just there and not giving me the safe size ;_;

I started this quest on Sunday right after the tally. *Did a little dance*. the next day (irl) i checked and moogle had stopped talking about the quest completely. Needless to say i had read the posts here so i bought another powerbow and and beetle ring. Then on Thursday i had not returned to my mog house yet.. but late at night i went to check on a delivery in while in jeuno and BAM moogle goes on about thanks *blah blah blah* 60 spaces *blah blah* /emote cartoony jaw drop. YEA buddy, needless to say i think you do have to have a bed set in your house. And probably have to start the quest in your home town, but i have finished it while in jeuno. But if you dont believe me or dont want to take the chance. Keep moogle at home. just wanted to share my experiences with you all^^

I'm so pissed off:
I put the bronze bed into the layout approx. 24 hrs before the tally. I checked my moogle right after it and it gave me the quest. So i went buying a power bow (which goes for 25k on my Server) nad a beetle ring (3k). makes me a total cost of 43k, because of the bed.
Then i logged off and went to bed. Next RL day, which should have been enough games days time to go and return for the moogle, he was still there and didn't even think about talking or doing something about the quest, but that one was still shown in my quest log. So i thought oh damn i shouldn't have logged off i must do it all in one turn...
Ok - so i went buying another set of the required items - another 20k wasted omg - and did the whole thing again, without logging. The moggle took the items and said he would be back in a few days. i went lvling my NIN for like 5 gamedays, came back and the moggle was there, but FORGOT again about the whole quest thing, like before! This guy must be tricking me the whole time! grabbing my items, but don't wanna reward me!

guess what, i hope u all look at here again, cause i had teh same problems as you did!, but today when i checked out of my rent a room in jeuno to Bastok, my mog granted me the quest, i placed the bronze bed in my mog house And ONLY the bronze bed, for 2 weeks, exactly, and had the moghancement: experience, and finally today i got the quest, so my tip to u all is to just put the bed there ONLY the bed, and just wait =), *Hope this helps!*

MUST BE IN HOME TOWN AND NOT CHECK INTO RENT-A-ROOMS DURING THE TIME BETWEEN PLACEMENT AND GIVING MOOGLE THE QUEST ITEMS (that's probably most people's problem).
Time of bed placement: 12 hours before conquest update (update is midnight sunday in Japan, 11 am EST monday for me so bed placement took place at 11 pm EST)
Fame: 2 or possibly 1 [second fame checker statement in hometown] (possibly 1, have not yet confirmed, but 3 is definitely NOT required)
Rank: 2 (nearly full points, mission 2.3 accepted, none of battles completed)
sorry to upset expectations on the fame thing...but it's definitely been done at fame 2, therefore 3 is not required.

I used to put the beds in on friday/saturday and I'd get the quest within 5 days or so.
Edit: I've had my moogle in Jeuno during saturday-tuesday before and still got the quest as soon as I switched it to bastok. I've never had a bed down for more than 5 days. I have all of the upgrades.
I think the only thing that matters is fame.

i have fame 6 in sandy and i'm rank 5

Has anyone figured out what the lvl of fame is for this quest. I have Lvl 2 fame and nothing is offered to me when i go to my Moghouse after the tally. i have my bronze bed in there and it is in my home town. Any Ideas and thanks in advance.
from what I have read it is Level 3 Fame needed for the 1st Mog House quest, Level 5 for the 2nd and 7 for the last one.

okay juuuuust a lil question.

confusing a lot of ppl. ^^ ALL mog house upgrades mut be got and done in your hometown. Any place else is a rent-a-mog. I tried for weeks with second quest before accidentally talking to mog in my hometown. >< hope this saves ppl some time.

Currently lvl 2 fame and still haven't gotten quest after conquest update...
so from reading this forum i can conclude it 's lvl 3 fame required

How can you tell what Fame Level you have???
I no how to check fame but how do you check the ranking of it
I'm not sure that you need fame 5 to get this quest. I got it at a fame level of 4 under strange circumstances. I tried to get the quest at fame 4 with all of the requirements met but fame. I then went to Jeuno for the first time, did the chocobo license quest, came back the next day <rl> and I could do the quest. Any guesses as to why I could get this? Flaco <Bastok> still tells me I have fame 4, and I have done a couple of quests in Bastok since then, a few more in Jeuno, and have since then gotten fame 3 in San'doria.
