Ok, I just did the AF1 quest. Grp of lv42-43 and it wasnt that hard..
Party Setup:
- whm, blm, war, brd, pld, thf.
- used 2hr
- all survived.
- didnt attack the whm (me) more than once (113dmg)
I came out with approx 100 MP after it was done.

Just to warn you, the mob will go directly after the WHM, I FEEL VIOLATED :/ i was brought to 1 life before they noticed he was there >.< luckily the RDM subbed WHM and used DS and Cure III ^^

OK stop riding this guys he is right most high lvl americans wont help i know from personal experience that most of the high lvl ppl on midgardsormr that r 60+ wotn help anyoen outside of their LS (sometimes even the ppl in their LS) most just say no a few want 10-20k and then there r a few 75/37 rank 10 americans (yes they do exist) that say no even though they aren't doing anything for like 3 hours while they sit LFG the entire time. AT 42 i have pulled all the info i could find for my entire LS's RSE's and AF's and gone with every single one of them to get such items. We have also invited ppl who we have never seen b4 to come along because they need it as well. So in closing if ur high lvl that isn't busy and u aren't willing to help anyone then what use r u i mean the game is all about helping each other but u got ur head up ur butts with a supioriority complex that says in ur opinion anyone who is even 1 LVL lower then u is a n00b. This cycle needs to stop now b4 ppl sstop playing because ppl wont help them do what is obvious to anyone that u urself got help for in the first place.

Indeed, that IS extremely ignorant. Since there are obviously more level 74 JP players, perhaps it's a little easier to acquire help from one, but that does not mean that American players aren't willing to help out. Hell, at level 29 I did the Paladin quest.. twice... and died 4 times trying to figure it out. And since I was level 29, I got nothing out of it... other than seeing a few strangers be extremely happy to have gotten the Paladin flag.
So please, just thank your high level JP friends and stop putting down American players.

Just did this fight with 51 PLD, 50 WHM, 52 BLM. was comfortably done, with no 2H's used but no margin for error. The guy is undead btw which probably helped us, and might prove useful to anyone else trying.

We did this fight with a similar party: 50mnk/thf (galka), 48brd/whm (taru), 48whm/blm (taru). Opened with Hundred Fists + Soul Voice, kept Minuet III and Madrigal the entire fight. Almost ran out of healing power ^^ but we triumphed in the end. Fight was about 2-3 minutes long.

i did this with a 60 drk...and ppl are underrating this fight
took 4 guillotines, and i was beating on it too (i was whm/thf, so i used sneak attack on a few shots), but FOUR guillotines and it wasnt dead...
dont go into this fight thinking its gonna be easy.
it uses this attack...dimensional death, for about 200 dmg...

Ok, we killed him with a pt of 41 - 43s. 2 of us died, but we only had 1 whm and the whm had 150 mp left over after battle. The entire battle only took 2 minutes. This could be an easy battle with a full pt of 43s including 2 whm. This does not need alliance or lvl 60 help :)

The Dark elf you face to get the pass to trade for the blessed hammer is a pretty hard hitting foe. We had a gustav pt alliance for our whtmages. 2 lvl 40+ full pts were fighting him and he managed to get me(Paladin) in the orange a few times.

To clarify , B-8 has two ???. The one on the wall near to the bard ruins is the correct one. When you click on it , it will pop him.
Regarding how hard he is , he melees up to 150 damage , range attack 115 but he does critical up to 147 easily.

the location is B-8, there are two ???, one near the waves, one near the bard quest song rune. you want the one near the song rune. marchelutte is a man, not a monster, so be aware because i didn't realize what i was fighting at first. the ??? you want only appears at night. my lvl 43 party died all but 2, cuz someone triggered him while someone was afk. happy hunting.

Saw a dragoon/white solo Marchelute in the NW corner pass a little cave in dunes.

These quests really need to have more info, go to Vulkurn Dunes and look for a ??? is hardly useful at all, try giving a map square.
The only ??? I know about in dunes is in the NW corner on the beach for the bard quest. Is there another?

That's the one. Its in a secret part off the map at a tunnel from North West section.
