He called me a fledging adventurer, I'm like fame ten in Jeuno, rank 5 and high fame in Bastok and Sandy, I also fed those darn sheep in Selbina till they burst. Is it windy fame that helps Mhuaru cause I feel a bit downtroden at lv 64 trying to get a simple fetch and carry mission.

Its actually called "Gusgen Clay" not soil.

My BF wasn't able to get the quest when he was in 30s. Now, he's 52, Nereus gave him the quest. Reward is 2160 and repeatable.

PS: He has not complete all Rycharde's quests.

Enter the Gusgen Mines from Konschtat Highlands (L-7). Go down the middle path to the center of the map (H-7), where you will find 3 doors at the bottom of a wooden platform. Pull the lever near the middle door and go through, then keep going until you reach I-7 (the small room in the northeast corner of the map).

Use sneak to get past the undead and the plantoids, use invisible to get past the bombs.

I got this quest only after completing the entire rycharde/valgeir series, so either completing the series built up enough fame or was a requirement to initiate the quest.
