ok, so Im new to this....I put the bed in last week, moogle left, came back, got 80 slots. Now I cant remove the bed, or any other furnishings for that matter. Any ideas?
Also, if youre not sure if fame is high enough...buy some Boyhada Moss and trade it to Melyon in Selbina (Only the Best quest). I traded 8 stacks of the moss and have had no problem getting quests since.

SummaryYour moogle wants to take a Raptor mantle and a Wool hat to his friends in the Outlands. He sure would be happy if you found them for him. DescriptionAfter sleeping on your Noble Bed, your Moogle once again gets homesick. This time it is for his friends. The moogle asks you if it can go with its friends on a trip overseas. If you do let him go, it asks for a "Raptor Mantle" (3300~4000 gil) for protection against the searing sun, and a "Wool Hat" (~14,000 gil)for the torrential rains. Bring these two items to it and then the moogle will be off for several game days. When it does come back, the moogle says they made you a new Mog Safe for your MogHouse making your total MogSafe limit to 80 items now.

Make sure you don't have something in all of your storage slots. If your storage slots are full you won't be able to remove any of your furnishings. You should only have to take one thing out to get your bed out.

suggestion do repeatble quest to raise fame high enough till next tally day and u should have quest flagged by moggle right after tally...

So I get this quest right and the moogle wants the stuff. I have to log and come back the thing doesn't take them or even acknowledge my quest has been started. For the past 3 weeks I've tried different methods to get it to work. I have had no bed in my Mog house for a week and have tried putting one in before the tally. Still nothing.

The only thing I can think of is to put it in my bed seconds before the tally or after it. That is the only thing Ive been unable to try since Ive been trying other things people have been suggesting. Does anyone know if it has to be done on the In Game tally day. If so this could be my problem and ill have to go on for my 4th week of frustration.

All bed quests are dependant on Fame. Check and see if your's is up high enough. (Not sure what that is for this one)
Are you sure you're trading a Wool Hat and not a Wool Cap? That's the only reason I can see that the Moogle wouldn't take the items.

I have this problem too, I put the bed, tally results, get quest, give items (I double-checked it was hat, not cap) he took the items and said "Thanks you magnanimus master" or w/e, I leave MH and head to Jeuno.
I go back 5+ game days later to San d'Orian mog house, and he totally forgot about this, won't give me the space on Mog safe, or won't even talk about the items again.

Just did this the past week, went to San d'Oria on Saturday, placed the Noble's Bed in my layout, (Sandy was 1st in Conquest). Sunday morning after the tally(Sandy now in 3rd, GJ^^), targeted my Moogle and talked to him, Cutsceen and quest.
Just like you, I'm a Windurstian on Gilgamesh. I did my first safe upgrade two weeks ago, and my second just one week ago. You're absolutely right, it has nothing to do with nation rank.
Oh, and for future reference, both times that I checked with my moogle for the quest, the results were still being tallied (which happens between 10-10:15 a.m. EST I believe). That's also when Dracumancer got his. If you're having trouble getting the moogle to give you the quest, try checking at that time.
EDIT: Okay well this morning I just got my final safe upgrade. That makes 3 weeks in a row that I was successful at the safe upgrade quests. Yet again I got it during conquest tally, so this is definitely a time that you'll want to check. As for fame, I'm pretty sure I had level... 7? Whichever one is the one where "all the bards in the land" are singing about me (Windurst fame). This time after conquest, Windurst was in 1st. So for all 3 upgrades, my home country was in 3rd, 2nd, and 1st, in that order. I can safely say that your country's conquest rank has nothing to do with it. Anywho, just wanted to add my findings. Good luck to anyone else attempting to do this expensive quest.

Yeah, conquest tally has came right around 9am CST (10am EST) Sunday morning. My whole LS was having trouble getting the mog quests before I told them that it tallies Sunday morning, not Sunday night.
As far as conquest rank, I can vouch first and second MH quests for sure are not dependant. And I am going to have to go out on a limb and agree with Davrost that this one probably isn't either.

I'm a Sandy guy,put Noble's bed at Friday,and after tally,Sandy was 1st,and I'm hero,but I can't get this damn quest still,now 3 weeks has past,can't gain the quest still.

please help my moogle will not take my items
i got the quest he asked for items i got invited to a party came back gave him the items but he wouldnt take them. it has been a month i have hero fame and county in first place.
i have been staying in Jeuno , and my moogle has been in jeuno during tallys is this the reason?? like i said i have the quest its active but my moogle will not take the items when i try and give to her/him what ever sex my moogle is
so basically what do i need to do to get my moogle to accept the items he asked for. i trade to him and nothing happens

yes i have tried that. someone told me that i need to a resident when the conquest tally is done. i have been staying at jeuno and when in Sandy try trading he items. again my log shows quest still active , he just will not ask for items anymore
have you been trying to give the items to the moogle outside of your home town. you have to go back to your home town and give them to him.
ok, i put the bed in on sat night, and got the quest on sunday after the tally. Now here is teh kicker, Bastok is in 3rd place and i have fame 6 and I was still able to get the quest. so if you think you need high fame you are mistaken.

FYI -
Fame requirement if your country is in 1st place is fame level 6! i have fame lvl 5 and did not get quest. Earlier post said the person had fame 6 and ranked #1 in conquest and he got it. So if your country is in first all the time, you only need fame 6

I just flagged this quest gave all proper items he said wait a few days. IDk if thats game days or Rl days but i still havnt gotten my upgrade. Hero fame Bastok. Im thinking maybe have to keep moogle at home nation for a few Earth days before getting upgrade :(.
If there was another one good luck getting the bed.Royal Bed is 100>87>87,that being 3 crafts.I have never seen one made/bazaar/AH.Although I want one^^

Are you sure you have the correct items?
There's also a Wool Cap, which I almost mistook for a Wool Hat.
Fame wouldnt matter when trading the items to your Mog as long as you already have the quest.

For anyone looking for Raptor Mantle or Wool Hat dont forget both items can be bought from Merchants.
I advise buying the Wool Hat from Chetak in Lower Jeuno @ H-9. He sells them for around 12k while the AH price was 17-19k :)

I got this quest while Bastok was in Last place only after I got my fame to where I am a "Hero".
Dont know if Bastok being in last place was why I needed such high fame.

Put the bed in yur mog house SATURDAY night, then sunday after the tally youll get the quest. Thats what i did.

1) Moogle has to be in your home town during the tally (Sunday 8 AM PST/PDT).
2) You have to have the required amount of fame to activate the quest.
3) Your bed has to be in the Layout of your mog house, not just in the safe.
4) You have to click on the moogle - not use the MogHouse command in the menu. Click on it like an NPC.
5) After you give the items, the moogle will "go away for a few days". The moogle doesn't actually leave.
6) After a "few" RL hours, the moogle comes back and gives you the upgrade. You do not need to be at home to give the items or get the upgrade. For me, this always happened the next RL day (about 18-24 hours later).

I got the quest tonight and I am Bastok Fame level 6. Almost everyone knows my name. Now if I could just find a stupid mantle!! Checked all cities and its sold out!! Bastok is currently 1st.

Ok, this is a new problem....
so i placed the bed on a saturday, and got the quest on the sunday afternoon following...
he asked for the raptor mantle, and the wool hat. i got a party invite as i was leaving my moghouse, and because of my lack of parties as of late, went immediately with them.
Several hours later i return to my moghouse (after stopping to pick up the items) and proceed to walk up to my moogle and trade them...
he doesnt accept them.....
i figure it must be because im in jeuno and hop the airship back to windy. i get there and sure enough, he doesnt accept them there either. he also stops asking me for them.
i have the quest active in my quest list, and its now been 2 weeks. windy has been in last for both of those, so i was assuming that was my problem. however, if that is not it, i have NO idea why he wont take the damn mantle and hat.
so... after 2 weeks of waiting and leaving the bed in my moghouse, hoping that he will ask for them again, i come to you :) someone PLEASE help me.
(its not even my bed, ive had it now for 3 weeks, and ppl are getting impatient)

I just got this quest. My hometown fame is 8. You cannot get it from Rent-a-Room mog. You need to go back to your home country and talk to you mog there (talk to it like any NPC, dont use Menu->Mog House). You will get cutscene then.
BTW i also put my noble's bed on a friday before the tally so i guess 2 days buffer is ok.
