SummaryLeepe-Hoppe wants you to take on Carbuncle's request to gather the six "whispers," then pay a visit to the Full Moon Fountain... WalkthroughYou must collect 6 whispers from each of the 6 Prime avatar battles. Do not speak to the battle NPC or they will take your whisper. Bring them to Leepe-Hoppe and he will give you a key item: Moon Bauble. This will allow you to go into Full Moon Fountain and battle with Fenrir Prime. Upon defeating Fenrir Prime, return to Leepe-Hoppe and collect one of the following prizes:

I recently collected all the avatars and fought a 2nd time and now posses all of the wispers. I traveled to Windy and spoke to Leepe-Hoppe to obtain the Moon Bauble, but instead I got a long cut scene and a diffrent quest all togther, "Tuning In". Are the quests "Tuning in" and "Tuning out" required to get "The Moonlit Path". I don't beleive that they are. What am I do wrong? Please let me know.

Seems strange replying to my own post and all but if anyone else had same question here is the answer. If this is the 1st time you speaking with Leepe-Hoppe then you will receive "Tunning In" quest. You do not have to complete this quest to fight Fenir. To receive "The Moonlit Path" you must zone and return to Leepe-Hoppe and speak to him a 2nd time. At this point you will be asked to retreive all 6 wispers, if you have them already simply speak to him a 3rd time with out zoning. Good Luck fighting the pooch.
If you recieved the Tuning In quest, zone out and in with a level 70+ job and talk to Leppe-Hoppe again, he'll give you the Moonlit Path quest.

You don't need to be a level 70+ job. I got it just fine as Level 65 RDM.

if u do the lv60 prime fights, how hard are they? and how many people have to go to beat the avatars?
This really depends on the job and level. If you are all around 65 or less, you probabaly want to have a balanced party (for the 6 avatars). If you are a rdm75/nin37, you can probably solo the 6 avatars.
For the fenrir fight, you probably need 6 people in a balanced party. It can "easily" be done with 5 Smn75's.

A 72 RDM/NIN in my LS solos the 6 primes when he is bored. Leviathan and Garuda give him a pain though.

I haved killed Shiva Prime last night, but i will like to ask that is it possible for me to get Fenrir before i get the other 6 avatar?
or I have to turn in all my whisper for the first time for all 6 avatar before i can get fenrir pact?

Like the person above wrote, if you don't turn in your whispers for the avatar (or item), you can "save up" all your whispers and turn them in for a moon bauble. After that you can fight fenrir. If you win, the first avatar you have can be fenrir.

Actually second, don't forget carby :P
After I got my Moon Bauble, I was able to get a new Tuning Fork of Earth without waiting a full day. So it's possible to fight the avatars twice in a single day if you get the Moon Bauble after the first time.
You can fight the avatars on each Japan time new day. So, if you fight the avatar (and win) and turn in your whispers right before midnight (Japan time), you can wait a few minutes and get a new fork (after midnight - Japan time).

You get a whisper when you defeat an avatar. You get the option of trading that whisper for an item or avatar pact; or you can collect all 6 whispers (lightning, water, fire, ice, wind, earth) and trade for the moon bauble.

Did Fenrir today. Setup was my static.

Darks Day, New moon.
we took him easy. Sleeped TP with opo opo necklace. Started of with a lightchain. then kited. and rng used ranged and since i have capped elemental skill i was able to nuke him.
when rng had 200+ tp i used icarus wing and we did another Chain. when he was close to 50% we let 1 mage and kiter be in the big room nuking him below 50% so he does 2h. We ´just switched to Dark resist gear when he was close to 50%
he was alot easier then i thought. our rdm recorded the whole fight. ill see if i can get it up sometime...
btw. his Dispel attack. He only got it in on pld ONce. since its get interuppted when kited. so that wasnt even a small problem.

Also If You Read This Later On And I Already Have Fenrir, Please Give Me A Tell, I Will Be Happy To Fight Avatars And Fenrir Again Because I Want The Other Items Too For Evoker's Ring and Fenrir Items etc.. I just did this as 60 smn, what you need to do if you get the other quest (involving the Mithra and the Taru) is just zone and come back, you'll get it then.

Just to let ppl know^^
if you talked to the NPC with a lower level than 70 he will give you another quest
so you will have to change job and talk to him again for this quest

If your refering to tunning in/out you just need to talk to him again while in posestion of all 6 whispaers.

Can these quests be repeatable? if not why do they have all of the other prizes avaliable cuz im doubt u can accapt the quest unless ur a summoner.
You can fight fenrir every real time day if you want. Yes, you can (eventually) get all the items. After you have gotten all the items, all you will get is 15k gil.
Yes, you can accept the quest if your are not a Smn. Most of the items from the fenrir fight are good for other jobs.

I heard you had to be level 70 to accept this quest. Ill have to check this out.
my roomate is level 24 and he just got the quest although he is fame lvl 9.
Don't need to be lvl 70 to accept it. :) I've had the quest since when I was around lvl 30. (Actually before I got the SMN flag quest.)

Could a lvl 75 SMN, SMN, SMN, SMN, RDM, WHM(I am the WHM, unfortunetly i am lvl 56 atm...) win this battle? if so please tell me...I would rilly like Fenrir. I am willing to pay but first i need to finnish doing the lvl 65+ avatar quests...but if there are any lvl 75 SMNs that could help me with this please let me know...i could pay if needed :)

my bad... meant to type. Where is Fenrir? how do I get the quest? what zone is that little taru guy in lol I looked for over 2 hr's for him... I know I missed him. and Can you do Fenrir as a mini battle? I.E. Trial Size Trial by Darkness or something?
There is no Trial Size for Fenrir. To even trigger the Fenrir quest, you have to have beat and completed the other 6 summons in their Prime form.

Yes, you have to kill them as their higher level form to recieve the Whispers, and/or the items that you can gain from the quest.

Do you keep the Moon Bauble to fight Fenrir again?
No, you have to fight the 6 other prime avatars again to get the whispers needed. I have a static group that I go with every weekend. Its not a bad to way to make 60k every weekend.
The post by XaocTaru is wrong. No, you don't get to keep you moon bauble after you fight and win against Fenrir, but you don't need to fight all 6 avatars to get another one. You just need to talk to Leepe-Hoppe again, and he will give you another.
