Battle Notes

In order to enter the battlefield you will need to bring a Sky Orb, which is obtained by trading 30 Beastmen's Seals to Shami in Port Jeuno. When you are ready, trade the Sky Orb to the Burning Circle inside Balga's Dais and choose to enter the battle Creeping Doom.

Up to 3 people may enter and you will all receive a level 30 restriction. You have 15 minutes to win. You will face one opponent: A giant Crawler named Bitoso. He can cure himself, uses Paralyzga, all the regular crawler abilities, and has lots of HP. If you can bring him down you get a treasure crate filled with assorted rewards.

Make sure than the Black Mage's have /WHM and have Paralyna as the Crawler has an Area of Effect (AoE) Paralyze spell. You will also need Aspir/Sleep and a maxed Dark Magic skill level for this fight. Sleep and Aspir Bitoso until he has 0 MP and then nuke him until dead. He is resistant to Silence and casts Cure III on himself so it is important to drain all of his mana.

The Ranger will need to bring Sleep Bolts. Sleep and Paralyze Bitoso at the start of the fight. The Black Mages should then coordinate their nukes by casting together and the Ranger should sleep Bitoso with the bolts just after the spells hit. With repeated successful cycles, this battle should be easy.

Pretty easy BCNM. Went in with Utsusmei: Ichi up and some food buffs on and just traded taunt. The 2 dancers healed to trade taunt. Just played through the paralyze and cures and slows. Not a dangerous tactic but we got pretty close on the 15 minute period.

i used to run this BCNM on a weekly basis back in 04-05 and unless the fight has changed dramatically since, every post i have seen has made it much more complicated than it really is...even the 100% ones make it more complicated than it really is. I have never lost this bcnm, have probably made over 6mil gil on it and I used to do it with 2 ppl.

rng/nin (Czure~Leviathan)

that simple, never fails(unless u are fail).
drop an acid bolt at beginning of fight and then alternate sleep bolts. be fully geared and in best lvl 30eq. when acid bolt drops off, re-apply and go back to sleep bolts...rinse, repeat. A few times we had properly timed a barrage and an EES to speed the process along, but it is really unnecessary as this method always completed the fight for us in roughly 8-10min given RNG(random number genereation).

now the only caveat is if the fight has changed dramatically since then, which i really doubt seen as how it is old content, but you never know. if it has please post the changes so i can go back to farming this sucker soon.

I just did this with some not so close friends. Our set up was BLU/NIN x2, WHM/BLM. We would have went with BLM/WHM or something else instead of the white mage, but we were anxious to get in there. First fight wasn't so good on account of we didn't know what we were doing. Saying that this bug spams Cure III is an understatement. The next three times we had it down like clockwork. Us two blues just alternated "Head ****", once the bug is past 50% just alternate the stuns without waiting for him to cast. White mage stood back and "paralyna" and healed us since we aren't professional ninjas. All of us had to use one yagudo drink, occassionally two. Not the fastest way to bring down the thing, but it works. We ranged 7 minutes to a whopping 11:40.

I feel like ranting. Just lost my orb on this because one of the BLMs from my LS was completely incapable of understanding directions. I would tell her to nuke at :50, she'd either wait too long (******** it up), or she'd somehow think it was her turn to sleep. Figures she figured it out when it was her orb on the line.

Ok for those of you wondering about blu's in bcnms we did this yesterday with blu/whm, blu/nin, rng/nin worked great.
Strategy was simple rng spam sleep bolts blue mages alternate Head **** and Bludgeon to keep hate even. Blu/whm used healing breeze for curing and one of the sleep spells (don’t remember which one) in case bolts missed.

The only trick is timing the sleep to land AFTER the damage but before he cast cure III. Head **** would stun about 70% of the time and interrupts his spells.
We went 2/3 on him and 3rd fight ran out of time.

Bring 2 yag drinks per fight and you'll own this one.
People would rather DIE than think.
And in fact often do :)

typically ppl sleep bolt this thing to death, we just did 3 runs and it went smoothly fights lasting approx 6 minutes with no fear of death.

all 3 members ate Rice Dumplings for the paralyze resist and all around great stat bootswith attack boost for both ranged and melee.

PLD straight tanked it with little difficulty, used 2 yag drinks per fight and no potions.

BLU "head butts" to interrupt cure3 or paralyga when possible, and uses paralyna when afflicted in the order BLU->PLD->RNG

RNG just did as much damage as possible.

Overall smooth fight no problems he went down easily. Basically PLD tank and 2 DD with 1 /whm for paralyna can pwn this guy.

We did 3 runs and got 2 genin earrings, 1 warlock earring and some other junk worth about 50K (total 700Kish)

Got a random tell when lvling cooking on my BLM/WHM asking for help on this BCNM. Due to how exciting making Carrot Broth is, I agreed to help out.

Setup was far from optional, Mnk/War, Drk/Thf, and me the Blm/Whm.

However, the BCNM went fairly well, the Mnk and Drk bringing plenty of high potions, and me using 2 Yag drinks every fight.

Strategy was to sleep/aspir for 6 rounds (Drk&Blm), then slow/paralze/blind and begin hitting. Continue aspiring as possible, nuke etc.

Mnk died the first time (Didn't get a potion off in time)

Special notes: I'm Taru, of another race bring Ethers as well, or be prepared to 2Hr, probably will run out of mana.

Also, as a BLM/WHM don't heal, you'll aready be getting aggro occationally due to nukes.

Final notes: Macro Macro Macro

And finally, this BCNM is easy, it's also not worth the price.. If you don't get Utsusemi, chances are good you'll get mostly crap.

Decided to do this BCNM for Utsusemi: Ni scroll.

First orb was a test run on strategies stated, but it took too long to Aspir with just two mages, so we ran out of time. So we decided to try another strategy of nuke, RNG sleep, Aspir, repeat accordingly.

That strategy worked fine. There seems to be a mild problem tho..We had our Firaga's timed together, and RNG would sleep it after he saw both go off. But sometimes the **** mob wouldn't get slept by his bolts, and would sometimes get a Cure III off before he was able to shoot another one.

His AoE Paralyze is actually a sigh of relief compared to Cure III, and doesn't really hurt your casting. If anyone is thinking of doing this BCNM, i would suggest bringing an Eremite's Wand. The 25% spell interruption helps alot when casting Parlyna.

Drops were meesly..But it's fun, and plan to do it again tomorrow.

Kept using the same strategy we've been using for awhile. 2xWar/Nin and 1xThf/Nin just shooting sleep/bloody bolts and sharing hate. Good marksmanship helps =). Well the record might have been removed from last update and stuff, but anyway got it this time. Happy Hunting!

And I have never done a stupider thing. ;_;

I escaped after the battle... but one person didn't pass on the genin and we lost it. ;_; I feel so horrible but to all of you out there!!!!!

DO NOT ESCAPE UNLESS YOU SEE THE ITEMS GO TO SOMEONE. Other than this it is at the point where we win without getting hit. Easy gil, low ammount of seals used.

Things needed:
1Yag drink per fight
Star Orb
3x Blm
Melon Pie

Water II

Strategy: To do this BCNM you must have a group of trusted friends who know how to time spells correctly. The basic strategy is to set a sleep order between the three members:

Member 1--->Member 2--->Member 3--->Member 1--->Member 2--->Member 3--->ect.--->ect.--->ect.--->

You basically do this like a manaburn party. You have one Blackmage sleep the mob, while the other to nuke it with Water II. YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE BLACKMAGE CASTING SLEEP CASTS IT AFTER THE OTHER TWO BLACKMAGES NUKE. In case you didn't know, the SECOND Bitoso wakes up, he's going to cast Cure III. Bitoso is somewhat of a Redmage in the fact that he has Fast Cast. You MUST time the sleep to hit after the nukes, but before he cures himself. I recomend casting sleep a second or so after the Nukers start casting Water or Thunder. So it should go something like this

Member1:@50 <----Nuke time. Corresponds
--------@50--------to the Vanadiel clock.

Members 2 and 3 start casting Water II on Bitoso

~*~1.5 seconds later~*~

Member 1 starts casting Sleep on Bitoso

~*~1 second later~*~

Member 2 and 3 cast Water II! Bitoso takes
--------------------128DMG and 128DMG

Bitoso Starts casting Cure III on Bitoso

Member 1 casts Sleep. Bitoso is asleep.
Bitoso's casting is interupted.

Member 1: Member 2! Sleep! @22
Member 1: Member 2! Sleep! @22

That's how the whole fight will go. In between nukes allow time for Aspir and Yag drinks. you should not need more than one yag drink if you CONSTANTLY ASPIR. Dont let aspirs get in the way of nukes. Last, but not least, DONT PANIC. Chances are he WILL CURE HIMSELF. If a sleep doesnt stick or goes off too early, just have another member sleep him and restart the cycle.

Have fun! Make sure not to make stupid mistakes (I'm sorry Scandi ;_; I lost your Genin. Im sorry mel, I lost your whole orb ;_;)

I love my LS and hope they forgive me.

<3 Curcio :D

And hopefully my last edit:

Problem with other set ups:

-Note this doesn't mean the set ups AREN'T usable, it just means they aren't as good as 3xBLMs.

1.) Sleep bolts: Sleep bolts don't always put him to sleep. Sometimes they don't work and end up hurting him... waking him up when you don't want him to.

2.) Pld/Drk/Blm: I guess it's tryable... if you don't mind the Shield/Weap bash combo. Like I said, Bitoso has Fast Cast (or if not, he seems to cast a LOT faster than a normal whm) and they will need to Stun him VERY quickly. On top of that, he can Cure himself many times, thus more than one shield or weapon bash can stun. ALSO, the bashes don't always stun, making them kind of untrustworthy.

3.) Aspir first then nuke away: This can be done, but often leads you to have much higher completion times... which can lead to BCNM defeat if you don't do it quickly enough. Also, if you Aspir at the begining, you could run out of a source for MP after you do all of that nuking. Better have extra yags and some ethers.

All of these, I guess, are workable, but the only way I've seen this guy go down quickly and efficiently (need I mention not getting hit or him Curing himself once?) is 3X Sleep/Nuke order.

Hopefully this is my last edit lol XD

All you really need is to do aspir, sleep, drain, sleep, aspir, etc. until the NM has no more mp, then unleash your best blizzard, thunder, fire spells.... Absolutely no earth based spells should be used since they are ineffective. Happy hunting this BCNM is easy.

Honestly I find the best way is to go in with 2 DRK/NIN's and 1 BLM/Whm

All we had to do was go in with sleep bolts and bloody bolts (maxed markmenship) and maybe some HP regen food maybe one. Send the BLM in to ES Sleep it at start and then all 3 chars on the field Aspir it until it wakes up. After that have the DRK's trade tank it with a mix of bloody bolts and utsemni (or however u spell it ) until the blm can succesfully sleep it. After that keep sleeping it and Aspiring it till he is out of MP. DRK's shouldnt get hit that much beacuse of shadows and if the do BLM and heal them if needed but the food should be used also if needed. As of this time i cant recall how much he has but about 15-20 good aspirs of 50-100 should do it. After he is out of MP proceed to kick the crap of him. BLM can go off on him at abour 40% life considering the DRK's cant voke becuase of no war sub, but if can get this down u can beat it very successfully . We did it 3 times like that one each orb and on the 3rd orb beat the time record for the Lakshmi sever at the time. Anybody who is slightly used to the game should make sense of the stategy i have posted.

Easy as pie to do with three BLMs.

One runs in and ES/Sleeps. Everyone position themselves spaced apart around the arena. Aspir >>> nuke >>> sleep. Worm stays near the center most of the time. With the positioning, only one person should get hit by Paralyzga. Three Water II spells slamming into the worm at once takes about 1/8 - 1/6 of his HP out at a time.

Rinse and repeat til dead.

Haven't lost yet. Average about 3 - 5 mil in drops per run. Best run has been 10.5mil.

..wow...strange...but wow....

Here's the setup for the party I had. We're 8/9 on it, and that's because ONCE we changed BLMs...

BLM would do buffs, PLD would Protect II himself. Use food and Yagudo Drinks. Used skillchains...I think Fast Blade and then Dark Harvest (It's been a while) and then Water II (BLM) Water (DRK) for the MB, with Sleep right afterwards. BLM and DRK would Aspir, then rest while PLD was resting through Aspir. 30 seconds later or so, stand up, PLD would provoke, DRK + BLM would Aspir, DRK would set up SA, and resume. As long as Weapon Bash / Shield Bash stopped one of the Cure IIIs, there was no problem. If it didn't stop the cure III, then it would just take longer. On average of 8-9 minutes. Just another way to do this if you can't get the BLM or RNG setup.
Fire wouldn't be eternal...if it actually consumed anything.
My party did this first try.

Artemisia found ya ;)

As for the ranger guy I will back up what Artemisia (mel) said: You can EASILY do it with one ranger and 2 blms. Blms should sub whm and yada yada. >_>;

The ONLY problem with ranger is that sometimes the Sleep on the bolts do NOT stick. This means that the damage from the bolt WILL wake Bitoso up and it WILL Cure III itself. This happened in our BCNM, but the only thing it managed to do is make it longer to kill. That isn't a problem, however, and you really shouldn't be worried. Have the blackmages macro Water II and Thunder. Also macro sleep, incase sleep bolts do not stick. Our ranger , Scandi, did the countdown for when we should cast and it payed off well. Paralyna is a must.

The only set up I could possibly think would be better is 3x BLMs (which we also did for a couple of the fights). But you need a lot more coordination to pull this off. You need 2x blm to nuke, while the other starts casting sleep 1 second after the other 2 start casting their nuke. If you don't time it perfectly, you will end up sleeping before the nukes go off, meaning the damage will wake Bitoso up. Sleeping it isn't a problem, it sticks every time.

Also, Bitoso doesn't do much damage (30-70crit) so don't panic if it aggros a blackmage. You should worry if it cures itself.

I had a lot of fun with this BCNM and can't wait for others in our LS. Thanks for the fun BCNM mel and hope we can do it again (or another).

Go, go, spiritcrusaders ^_^.

Since no one really replied to below post regarding 2 rng doing this....

Havent done this in a while, but friends and I went 9/9 post patch with rng, rng, blm. Later went 2/2 without the blm. The blm did initial sleep after that we(rngs) kept firing bolts in rhytm. the Sleep doesnt last long, it doesnt matter, just needs to last till the next bolts hit^^; Blm DCd once and we still one with ease. Maintain ideal bolt firing position and keep plugging, use alternate ammo for WS and barrages of course to speed it up...You do most likely need 2 rng to do it safely, but the blm is really there just to speed things up, as long as you fire nonstop 2 rng will win within time limit.

Its slow compared to mulitple BLM setup, but 2 rng can easily duo this. Our group doesnt set records usually, we just make a point of never losing ^^; Drops were *** btw. We were doing it mostly for fun, with prices now it might be worth it, but BC60s tend to be very good to us.

2 BLMs used a Yagudo Drink and a Melon pie and WAR/NIN a Mithkabob.First BLM used ES+Sleep, then aspir. Second BLM used ES+ Bind while WAR/NIN voked when Bitoso was asleep. After 4 vokes we started nuking...All the fight was easy WAR used 2 Potions and almost at the end Mighty Strikes + Raging Axe and Bitoso died.

Just pummeled this guy. Keep in mind that the BLM BLM RNG strategy dates back to BEFORE the RNG Nerf. We went in with that setup (with the nerf) and the RNG had a very hard time landing his arrows. Every time the crawler wakes up (sleep bolts last 1-2 seconds), it would go after one of the mages, and the next sleep bolt would miss because the distance between Bitoso and the RNG had changed.

At about 30% this critter starts spamming (literally spamming) Cure III until he either goes over 30%, or runs out of mp, which isn't likely to happen unless you spent the first 10 minutes aspiring it with 3 BLMs.

BLMs used Melon pie from the start, and used Aspir as first spell to replenish the extra mp space from the pie. After that it's one nuking contest: Firaga, Stone II and Blizzard. Blizzard got a couple of resists though. Firaga hits the hardest but is also the one costing most MP.

After running out of mp, we decided we had to 2hr or we wouldn't make it. We were planning on doing 3 consecutive rounds, but that idea got abandonned when we saw we wouldn't make it. RNG changed ranged equips to something damaging, as one of the BLMs manafonted. The other BLM was still thinking of doing a second consecutive run so he held back to see if he could maybe save his 2hr. First BLM had a yagudo drink on, used Manafont, and spammed 4 elemental spells. Then Manafont wore, but the yagudo drink had refreshed enough mp to add a 5th spell to the chain. Meanwhile Bitoso was Cure IIIing himself like there was no tomorrow. We got it to 5%, then it cured itself to 11, we got it to 3, it cured to 9. Finally a simultanious double Firaga killed it before it got his next Cure III of.

Result: Hi potion, silk thread, chestnut log ... and an 850k wizard earring. :)

Next run tomorrow.

-- edit the day after--

Well, we went back and slapped the crawler twice more today, with a couple of hours in between to recharge 2hrs.

First time (today) we went in guns blazing. Nuking even faster then last time because the faster we nuke, the less time he has to cure III himself. Especially near the end, when both blms 2hrd at the exact same time, interrupting most his Cure IIIs, we knew we had him. Bitoso dead, drops silk thread, steel ingot, chestnut log and bast parchment. Total value: less then 10k :'(
We did break the record, setting it to just over 5 minutes.

Last run, we didn't waste any time at all: we ran in Leeroy Jenkins style, and started damaging. We stopped caring about healing ourselves because last runs we noticed if we heal, he has time to heal too, which is a very bad thing. We only stopped nuking for an aspir or 2, a yagudo drink, and paralyna (VERY important: paralyna as soon as he paralyses you.) The result: he didn't get a single Cure III of, we beat him without Manafont, he went down faster then ever. Broke our own record, setting total time to 3.52.
Drops for the second run: silk thread, iron ore, another chestnut log and Magic Finale. Under 10k again, and that on 100% moonphase. Reason enough for us not to do this BCNM again.

Goodbye Bitoso, you're a great opponent. :)

Did this bcnm. 3 blms. :P

First time, we kept it slept and just aspired. we started aspiring 0, and started nuking. It was at about 15% health, and time ran out. ><

Second time, we went in, bound/slept. 2 of us nuked, and the other person slept. We did this and it died. lol. made about 250k off drops.

3rd time, we didn't work at all. They kept casting drain and it need to be ASLEEP so it wouldn't cure itself ><! One person died, one warped, and I just slept it and exited.

Good luck I being the RNG couldnt keep hate worth a ****. 1 BLM died mid way through and i could keep it from killing the other ez

i just spammed sleep bolts the whole fight and the BLMs nuked but couldnt keep hate they didnt paralyna at all so i got iteruppeted alot.

Basically i think you need 2 RNGs at least to tod this effectivly im tryin it with sub THF now to see if sneak attack can nullify the Cure3s

um...you clearly weren't doing it right if you had problems with that setup. You see...my LS does this with 2 BLM and 1 RNG/NIN and HAS NEVER had problems.
If you think this strategy doesn't work "post nerf"...you're wrong. We did this THIS WEEK. In other words...this is current. It worked...it worked 100% of the time. Maybe it's just because we had a plan/decent gear/good food...and knew how to synchronize our nukes and time arrows perfectly to reach Bitoso 1 second after the nukes did (which is probably the key...since most people who say you can't do it use the "spam a ton of arrows while the BLM both go nuts without looking at what they're doing" technique.
I went in with a 2 BLM 1 RNG setup and our group did 10 orbs the first time we did this...
We won all 10 times, had no fatalities, and got nice drops 3 of those times. Only one time even came close to a time failure (on the first orb since we had no clue how to do things).
A few things to set straight...
The RNG IS NOT SUPPOSED TO TANK. They're supposed to lug around sleep bolts and chuck them at Bitoso while the 2BLM COORDINATE their nukes to go off at the same time and the RNG times his bolt to hit 1 second later. My group mastered this after 5 runs and NEVER had one death.
BLM NEED TO COORDINATE. They must plan to cast the same nuke at the same time and have call macros so one can tell the other what to cast when. -agas are a waste of MP, just use Water II and pick another favorite (we used Thunder because he resisted Stone II but you can use Stone II if you're confident you can land it for full).
RNG cannot simply spam arrows, they will use a lot but they have to make sure that an arrow hits at the right moment now and then.
If the arrow sleep doesn't stick, a BLM will have it up and should cast it in a pre-determined alternation pattern if it's urgent.
YOU NEED TO ENFEEBLE BITOSO, seriously, put paralyze on him...you will notice a difference, I tried it both ways, I noticed. Maybe you need to be a RDM main to figure this out...3 of the 4 BLM in my BC rotation are RDM main. Take the enfeeb artist's word...paralyze will help you.
MAKE SURE YOU PARALYNA THE RNG! We did best when we have a BLM/WHM in the BC because they could paralyna the RNG so he could actually fire! Cast Barparalyzra EVERY BATTLE, sometimes it will bounce before someone can -na you this way.

Needless to say...our RNG is outstanding (it's not even his main job) and our BLM aren't "click this button to see big numbers" hacks...we know our stuff and plan and adapt accordingly.

Our gear isn't "1337" but we have decent INT bonuses on it, we used plain old melon pies (and rolanberry now and then) and grape and melon juices (though the RNG brought squid sushi, he also got a 2.1M total in drops to pay for it and still make him wealthy). We used half and half /rdm and /whm. We never NEEDED to manafont but 3 of the blm participating (4 blm cycled through the BC) opted to do so on their second orb to "speed things up" at the end and save hi-ethers (which we never wound up using really, lol)...a couple of these resulted in nearly getting the server record (actually...we were trying to record time it and we put one of our buddies who had bad drops on his orbs as lead to cheer him up if they did get record).

Heck...we even got within 4 seconds of the server record once! Frankly...I think we did VERY well with this setup...you'd have to not know how to time your shots/nukes to mess this up...oh...I almost forgot to mention...blm getting hate can be fixed by BINDING Bitoso and sticking your BLM way out on the rim of the arena to cast on him, in opposite directions.

For a GREAT BCNMing experience that resulted in TWO Genin earrings for two very happy RDM mains (one of whom was our RNG/NIN in the BC), I have to thank...
Mikrik (for suggesting we do it and being brave enough to put in the first orb)
Mhurron (for insisting we do it -- your karma will net you something good I swear)
Scandi (for being the most awesome RNG who isn't RNG main and figuring out how the setup would work ^^)
Curcio (for being there when we needed you ^^ and reminding me I that have barparalyzra)

Beat this guy 3/3 last night. Was fairly easy with the 3 x BLM setup, except for the second fight where things went pear shaped after the first sleep didn't stick. We recovered and got over the top in the end, yay for teamwork. ^^

Try not to fight this thing on Lightsday by the way, your sleeps will have a higher chance of being resisted.

Around 1mil in drops from the 3 runs including Utsu: Ni and a couple of the latent effect earrings.

incase you were wondering, it is possible to do this with 2 BLM's. Went in 3rd BLM messes up and got wipied 30 seconds in. Almost didn't even need to manafont. Did use 2 yag drinks though. Nuke>> sleep>>aspir>>nuke>>sleep>>aspir.... Took a good 12 or 13 mins though. I'd recommend taking a thrid BLM though...

My strat is 3 BLM like the previous person said, but my party did it abit differently. One would ele seal then sleep the crawler, then the rest of use would go in, all cast waterga 2 at the same time, then one of the others would sleep (we'd make the order of sleep before we'd go into the BCNM) then after he was slept we'd do Aspir then waterga 2 again, and keept the cycle going til he was dead, we set the record time for it in 8mins 15sec. Only food you need is melon pies (+1 perferably) a few melon drinks/ yag drinks and maybe a few potions if you want to spend the money. but i am 15/15 on this BCNM and have made over over 4mil on this BCNM.

I did this just today. Died the firs time because we didn't know what we were doing. We had 3 BLM.

I didn't want to use the Aspir only strategy because it seemed like there were alot of holes in it. We came up with this strategy, which was pretty simple.

You will need a pie and 1-2 Yagudo drinks each battle.

Go in, bind then immediately at the same time cast Water II and Thunder. Then you sleep him IMMEDIATELY. Try to let him cure only a little bit. While sleeping it is time to aspir him. Do that and when ready the next BLM should bind him and all three immediately cast Water II and thunder again at the same time. Then you sleep him and aspir, and repeat with the next BLM.

You really can't fail more than once with this method unless your group is not somewhat organized. He never really resists bind and he always gets slept. I failed once because we didn't have that strategy. Water II does 120 damage every time and thunder is about 97. It was pretty easy but our drops were absolutely worthless.
"It's a magical world, Hobbes ol' buddy. Lets go exploring."

Just for clarification, I bot, sell gil, buy gil, MPK, party naked through the dunes, power level, play as a Ranger, quit when they nerf it and complain, play as a Beastmaster, quit when then nerf it and complain, make posts for and against RMT, monopolize NMs, create elitist groups, run casinos, steal gil, hack accounts, and stare at you awkwardly with my left eye.
Easy but annoying

Me and 2 ls mates tried this bcnm last night. Some other ls mates have tried this bcnm before and they got pwned O.o;

We first went:
Thf/nin (me)

We broke the record with this setup for 14 mins 2 sec. And we were thinking, that can't be right... So maybe SE clears the record every month or year or something.

Later on after the first 2 fights and the sleep bolt thing didn't work out too well for us. Me and the rng when bloody bolts all the way. Our blm kept dying as blm so he switched out to bst/nin and summoned courier carrie to fight with us.

We set the record again at 6 min something seconds.

The bloody bolts did pretty good dmg. 11 + whatever drains. Usually between 18-56 for me. Wasn't watch the rng's numbers. He did cure III himself a whole lot, but being able to throw out SA a few times really helped with that.

This is a pretty simple and easy bcnm. I just wish most of the drops were worth more.

Just wondering, but I did this BCNM last night with LS and we ran into a problem. The first fight, the three of us (BLm/WHm, Blm/RDm, BLM/Nin<me>) blasted it with sleep and started the Aspir spam. Whenever it would wake up.. three more sleeps landed on him before he could even cast paralyzga. We did this with me tellin party "Just keep doin it til he runs out" .. which he never did. So that fight timed out and we geared up again. Second time through, same type of strategy, cept this time all three blast one Water II, spam sleep, Aspir, then wait for sleep to wear. This one didn't turn out so well because he would get a few shots and spells in between casts of Water II and Sleep, and in the end, we got wiped cuz my keyboard was broke and I couldn't tell party to Manafont(doh!) However, in one glorious final atempt, I aspir one last time..... for 0.

Now my point to this is that I am thinking he has a refresh effect on while he is asleep. I'm thinking this because we got in WAY more Aspirs the first time, and though the second time the mob casted more, he ran out of MP. Any thoughta?

we both had drinks 2x yagudos and i carried hp drinks.

Well sure enough we won. The war died early one from a on shoot poison (wtf i know), and we had to finish the fight ourselves. Took 10 minutes to do. Was fun and all

Someone in my LS had the orb for this already, so we decided to make a mini event of it, anyon with a Lv30 job was allowed to risk their orb if they so chose. Only like 4 people came, we only won once because we didn't make any strategy we just ran in.

1st time we ran out of time... setup was

we lost a few times after that, I won't even say the setups since we lost.

We won with

MNK popped 2hr focus and berserk. I dia slow paralyze the crawler. Regen the MNK and rested, cured when needed and reapplied debuffs. I used 2 yag drinks in the fight. I ended up running out of MP(Elvaan WHM, no astrals or anything great for MP). Near the end when the crawler stopped healing the MNK got killed, THF switched to bloody bolts and basically soloed the guy from that point on... when he got low on health I Banishga for 89points DMG and killed it, we were pretty excited until we opened the Armoury crate.

Drops were
Silk Thread x2
Elm Log
Trimmer's Earring

Not the best drops, but we did find that it can be done without BLM or RNG. MNK 2hr is great for this fight. My LS leader and I (He has 2 accounts and 2 PCs) are going to try it with 3MNKs, one will 2hr each fight.

this is so easy to do with 3 blm`s. run in sleep it/ aspir. water2 with too of the mages and the 3rd mage sleeps it again. then switch who sleeps and the other mages go with water 2 again then sleep. then asipr it. keep doing this over and over again till it doesnt have any mp to cure it self and you should be golden. took us maybe 5 mins to do with the way we did it. ^_^ good luck

Bitoso is a push over.

I go in with his fail safe Setup:

No 2hrs are ever used. BLM barely uses Drinks. No super uber Strategy.

You walk in, Black mage ES Sleeps him. Ninja then uses his debuffs para/blind/slow. Ninja runs in and provokes and eats the first paralyzga. Black Mage should paralyna him and then dark Knight should engage and Bio the Crawler. The fight continues like like normal. DRK and BLM should continusouly Aspir through the fight, and the nin should keep debuffs on, DRK should keep him bio'd. Being a WHM the crawler's melee skill suck and should barely touch the ninja. When both the NIN and DRK have TP, they should skill chain.

Blade: rin >> Hard Slash for Distortion
BLM MB Water II, DRK MB Blizzard.

A this point Bitoso should be at half hp or less And will give up casting paralyga to spam cure III. DRK should use Weapon Bash to stop cure III or paralyga whenever possible. When the Crawler hits about 1/3 HP, DRK should Hit souleater and pound on the Crawler, and it should be skill chain time again. The souleater Hard Slash + distortion + MBs should do him in, and if not, hes out of MP and should die shortly afterwards.

I am currently 19/20 on this BCNM, but have not done it recently becuase it seems SE has nerfed the drop rate on decent drops.

I freed a troubled soul, ended conflict between two childhood friends, and got a hat with a feather in it from a ghost, all in one evening. This is Final Fantasy 11

lol finally finished this with two friends of mine.

RDM/BLM (me)
BLM/WHM (Aaliya)
RNG/NIN (Tito)

Tito won the random contest in the beginning to see who got first pick on rare treasure, so we said fine, went in. Me and Aal used pies and cakes, along with Yagudo drinks right away for buffing, Tito use his meat mithkabobs, the usual spells, full heal ran in and I casted every enfeeble spell that was available at the cap none stuck but one which was slow, even using elemental seal and silence didn't work.
He's a pain because about every 1/4 of his HP that we brought down he used Cure III, which gave him back about 100+ HP so we were bugged about it.
RNG kept up Barrage I think (can't remember not a RNG myself ^^;) while I and Aaliya tried to keep up curing while downing hi-potions, hi-ethers, and drinks. We were doing good really, hardly any nuking, just the WS of RNG while I meleed as well. The only real problem was Paralyzga but thanks to the WHM support it wasn't that difficult to keep it off.
Yes Aal if you're thinking about it, yes I lagged behind on enfeebling because I was tired. I'll admit it.
Well anyways, it just sucked as we were about to win, Tito d/cs leaving the two of us on our own with half HP/MP and we were out of items, we both starting nuking with whatever we had left and won! Ugly drops. Took the 3 of us 13 mins to complete while the record was 3mins flat. lol that sucked.
But yes! You need at least a RNG or BLM to take this up. That thing just loves Cure III and Paralyzga. Good luck!
Thanks again Aaliya and Tito can't wait to try again.

The first try we just ran in with sleep bolt's and did'nt stop shooting. Got 300%TP had THF SATA me and i would engage, swich to holy bolt's and split shot for SC then disengage and back to sleep bolt's.

The second attempt we ran out of time trying to alternate sleep and holy bolt's for more damage because he spammed Cure 3 to much and did'nt run out of MP.

Third try we went back to the original gameplan of sleep bolt madness and we won again. RDM did 2 hour and nuked it to death at the end at that time i just poped over to holy bolt's for more damage.

Drops: Warlock's Earring, Darksteel ore, Silk thread, Elm log, Bast parchment, Magic Finale and some other junk. All added up to about 97k.
The THF and I spent more in bolt's.

Edit 8/9 on this now and still no decent drop's. Too weak to be worthwhile.

We all used those, shooting at different times to keep his spells interrupted. When all of our barrages was back up, we all used it again "if" it was needed, and that's it. Nothing to it, ^^.

I've been doing this BCNM for the last few weeks with 2 LS mates of mine.

Using the following setup we've gone 4/5 and 5/6 on this BCNM on 2 different occasions, with our best time being around 5min 30 sec.

2 Rng/Nin - Crossbow w/ Sleep bolts & Squid Sushi
(make sure Marksmanship is capped)

1 Blm/Whm - Grape or Melon Juice & Ginger or Wizard cookies

1. Trade your sphere and enter the battle - Blm buff's w/ Protectra and Rng eat their Sushi

2. Blm uses Elemental Seal & runs up to the circle and casts Sleep on Bitoso, then heads directly to the back of the circle and takes up position. The Rng follow blm up and after Sleep has been cast they split to the Left and right sides and start hitting Bitoso with Sleep bolts. **Rng should NOT STOP FIRING until Bitoso is Dead**

3. The Blm start's casting their most powerful elemental spells, with the ocassional Aspir or Drain, and casting Paralyana on himself & Rng's if Bitoso gets off a Paralyaga.

**IF you can, try to time the spells effect to coincide with a shot from a sleep bolt to keep Bitoso from casting Cure 3 right after**

4. When Blm runs out or gets close to running out of MP he eat's a cookie and downs a drink and rests for MP. Once MP is full or close to full get up and back to casting.

5. Repeat step 4 until Bitoso is dead.

In roughly 7 minutes (unless something has gone wrong) you should be victorious and be collecting your loot from the crate.

Have Fun and safe BCNM'ng,

Lots of people try to do the Sleep+Aspir approach for this BCNM, such as me. My party setup was-
Ive heard that the best setup is BLM RNG BLM, but i had a friend in the LS who is a DRk, and i had also heard that DRKs are just as good as BLMs. So, we gave it a go.

1st try-Rangers Orb
Eat food outside the circle. Then we Go inside the Circle, i buff us up with Protectra + barparalyzra(HELPS ALOT!!)Rng Runs in barrage w/ a sleep bolt, not the smartest idea. It hits for like 20 dmg...So me and DRK aspir, wake it up, pummel it, aspir, etc. etc. As an elvaan i run outta mp, and all **** breaks loose. It cure IIIs cure IIIs cure IIIs over and over. i use manafont, goes to waste because we run out of time RIGHT as the rng dies ><.

2nd attempt-My Orb
New Strategy. We run in aspir it, and fight it, no sleeping till we r low on health. I am main heal, and i throw in a few Blizzards. Its going great, its about half way down, i firaga it, and it gets mad. im hollaring "EES EES!!!" so he does, and it takes down like 1/5 of its health. It cure IIIs like 2 more times, me and DRK aspir, its outta MP, we go all out and just start oblivirating it =). it dies!! my orb, iwin!! i got **** drops, Bast parchmeet Silk thread Warlocks earring-30k Darksteel ore-25k

3rd attempt-DRKs ORB
we do same strategy, going well...with one minute left on the clokc, it runs outta mp. We go all out on it....it has literally 50 health left, and the screen truns balck, we run outta time =(...

Sorry for long post. but here is hte moral of hte story...
Aspir Strategy ONLY works with 3 BLMs

Something I made with Photoshop Cs2.

i have a theory on how to beat this guy, was just wondering if this would work. Instead of using the 3 blm aspir thing, how about 2 blms and a drk, but instead of constantly keeping him asleep and aspiring, how about run in there, sleep, aspir, buff, all that good stuff, and then run in with the drk. the drk uses berserk, last resort, soul eater, mithkabob, and blood weapon and starts goin mad. from my experience, this will draw all hate onto the drk so the blms can nuke away. they can aspir when possible, but the main thing here is not to sit there and wait for the aspir cooldown, since i have heard many a story of people losing because time ran out. well just a theory, tell me what you think ^^
Working hard has never killed anyone, but why take the chance?

Did this 15 times the other day with 2 Ranger/Ninja's and a Blm/Whm. Lowered the record on Leviation to 2 Min 47 sec (from 3min 9sec).
1 Ranger opens with an Acid Bolt, then both rangers Barrage with Holy Bolts, then its Sleep bolts the rest of the way.

I did this BCNM 9x times. Our setup everytime was 2xrng and 1 blm. For a while we held the record of 3 minutes and 18 seconds.
Really Easy BCNM for some pretty decent drops
