Just another comment about the strategy I posted a bit below. Went 4/4 again last night with this, except I switched to the PLD/WAR role and we had a new WAR/NIN (Izerezek).
First fight about 10:30 or so. Rest were between 8:00 and 8:30 in length.
Costs...we did 2 runs per 30 minutes, and I think I was the most expensive as the PLD. 10k for 2 Tacos, 8k for 4 Pamama au Laits, 5k for 1 Hi-Potion (had 6, only used 1 for all 4 fights), so 23k total, under 6k a fight :)
Only bad thing is that we got crap drops this time. Got 2 Darksteel Ores for about 25k a piece, but the rest were 4k or below :(

Battle NotesIn order to enter the battlefield you will need to bring a Sky Orb, which is obtained by trading 30 Beastmen's Seals to Shami in Port Jeuno. When you are ready, trade the Sky Orb to the door of the Ghelsba Outpost hut and choose to enter the battle Petrifying Pair. Up to 3 people may enter and you will all receive a level 30 restriction. You have 15 minutes to win. In here you only fight 2 lizards: Kilioa & Kalamainu.
StrategiesOne of the most common strategies involves a tank, a DD, and a kiter (usually a RDM/BLM). The tank can be either WAR/NIN or PLD/WAR. DD's are usually a WAR/NIN with a Great Axe or a DRG/WHM (for self-curing while the RDM is Gravity-kiting the other lizard). At the start of the fight, buff, eat appropriate foods, rest to RDM's full MP, and then go after the brown lizard (the one on the left) as the RDM starts Gravity kiting the white lizard on the right. Don't forget, tanks, to unlock target and turn your back to the lizards as soon as you see them ready Baleful Gaze, to prevent being petrified. Thanks to Dawgdchi for the strategy. Me and 2 LS mates killed these guys about 8 times last week. We did die our very first time, we weren't quite sure what to expect. But then we smoked them for 8 more times the following 3 days. Got 2 pairs of boots, unfortunately I lost the lot on both, but we'll be back for my boots soon.
And just for the record, this is a very costly BCNM for pld. I used 3 high potions, 1 yag drink, and 1 tavn. taco for each fight, adding up to about 25k per fight. War/nin doesn't need anything except maybe meat, and rdm uses one yag drink.

I may go do this again soon. My static SAM is in need of gil and wants to do a BCNM. I may shift my role to the PLD and he would be the WAR/NIN. Fun fun fight though :) Got some neat comments from onlookers who were there to do the Bat BCNM

Myself and 2 LS friends found a good strategy to use on this last night...ended up 3/3 getting progressively better each time. Here's how it went.
Vaala (WAR/NIN)

Prep:
WAR used Jack-O-Lantern, however next time I'd likely use Navarin. I wanted to boost my Evasion to avoid damage as much as I could when I got hate.
RDM used Rolanberry Pie +1 (Melon +1 first fight) for the MP boost pretty much. The INT helped with Bind/Gravity.
PLD used Tavnazian Taco each fight.
As we entered the Hut...RDM casts Prot II on all of us, pops a Yagudo Drink and rests. WAR and PLD use Pamama au Lait when RDM is full and battle begins.
RDM begins battle by casting Bind on the White Liz. PLD provokes the Brown one, WAR uses Acid/Blind bolts to enfeeble while both engage. RDM Gravities White, and casts Paralyze and Slow on the Brown as we're engaged with him.
When Bind wears, Gravity should be in place, so RDM kites the White Liz around while recasting Bind and Gravity when possible. In a situation that the White Liz becomes Unbound & Ungravitied...WAR/NIN vokes to pull it off the RDM. Shadows/Evasion absorbs damage while RDM reapplies Bind/Gravity. PLD and WAR pull the Brown one out of melee range since it is bound. Hate usually resets to RDM after those 2 spells.
Hate was always on the PLD for the Brown Liz, so petrificaton never impacted WAR's ability to pull the Liz off the RDM, nor did Voke ever fail to pull enough hate either.
PLD used I think 3 Hi-Potions total, WAR used 1 just to be safe. Once the first lizzie is down it's an easy fight.
Times:
12:48 for the first fight...ran into issues getting the White one off RDM (macro mishap and switching targets was a pain). But we recovered and finished well.
8:43 for the second fight. 0 issues...didn't have to rest between fights like the first time.
7:48 for the last. I don't know if anyone got red. Went incredibly smoothly. All ended in White and RDM had over 150 MP to finish the fights.
First drops we got Leaping Boots (Yes...confirmed...they do drop from here :) :) ) and random crap.
Only thing of note from the other fights is a Gun Belt...goes for 1 mil on Fairy.
We set the record each time, and I can't believe that 12:48 beat someone else, so our group may have been the first on Fairy to get Leaping Boots to drop away from Leaping Lizzie :) Even if not...it's a great feeling. Fun BCNM that we probably won't repeat unless we're bored and have seals to burn. Net of about 2.2 mil total for us :)

Okay, me and two of my LS buddies decided to do this one and see what we could get. When we got there we found out we were the first group on our server to do this BCNM since the update b/c no record was set.
Our pt setup was War/Nin(me), Rdm/Whm(a must), and a Blm/Whm. I had 22+ eva, and about +11 vit and I still seemed to get hit pretty good(Elvaan btw).
So first time we go in with no experience except what I read here...
1st Time: Death
2nd Time: Me and Blm kill Kiloa, and the grey one kills us all at about 1/8th hp.
Okay the third time we go in knowing what to do now.
We all got protect II, ate our foods and drank our juices. I used one boiled crab and one persikos au'lait starting this battle. I used utsusemi, got regen, and used defender before running out to tank. I went far to the left and voked kiloa while the rdm went to the right and gravitied the second lizard. Now I don't know what my rdm was eating but Bind stuck well for us. 30secs to 1 minute everytime. So I continued to utsu, defender after 5 minutes again, while the blm nukes the hell out of it. I used berserk one time when I lost hate and voke was down but immediately cancelled it to get my defenses back. So we killed Kiloa and the mages were a little low on mp. So the rdm binded the lizard and then started to rest while I voked, I think twice before it got up again. Then the rdm gravitized it ran around until I voked again and got hate. I continued to kite it until the mages had around 120 mp(were using drinks and resting). Then I straight up tanked again while they both nuked. The rdm would heal me after Kiloa's death and then occasionally once we started to fight the grey one after I kited it for awhile. She gravitied or binded while they rested when it sped up. I think I was petrified twice during this battle but it was fairly easy. Petrified at the end but blm killed it. Anyway drops were...

However, we felt like going one more time. So I took my friend to kill the orcish panzer, since I already got my Auriga's Xiphos(1/14), while the rdm warped back to town for an orb. We killed panzer and no sword... no big deal. Went back in to kill Kiloa and w/e his name.
4th Attempt: Start off the same with buffs and foods, defender, utsu. etc... I go tank one while rdm kites other. I was petrified by Kiloa when he was at about half, and blm got hate and got petrified, then mine wore off and continued tanking. Blm's wore off and we killed Kiloa. The rdm was binding, gravitying/kiting grey one. Then Rdm bound the grey one took a seat out of range. I used utsusemi and then voked twice. Was still after the rdm so she got up and gravitized him. I voked him again, made sure defender was up, and then hit him a couple times to make sure I had hate. Then rdm bound him and both mages rested until 100ish mp. I tanked grey one while they nuked with the occasional heals. Got petrified two more times but I still had hate the whole way. Knew was our last time so I used Mighty Strikes and beat his *** as well. I ran over opened the chest and we got drops...
Drops: Avatar's Belt (300K)

Utsusemi: NI (550K)
And... well let's just say the person

Now succeeded two more additional times. One time nothing, and the next time only Leaping Boots. But hey, who's complaining about Leaping Boots.

I walked in there with +22 CHR and i didnt even bother trying to charm it i just used gauge and it said i couldnt....so i died tryign to get out

I just did a couple runs today.
Setup:
RDM30/BLM15 - Me
BLM30/WHM15
WAR30/NIN15
I start the fight by gravity'ing the grey lizard. Bind tends not to stick too often, so Grav's a better bet for me anyway. The war tanks the brown guy straight up. The BLM helps kill the brown one while I continue kiting. Usually right before the brown one goes down, I have to bind the grey one so I can heal the tank. Once it's down, the BLM and I rest. The warrior gets hate off of me (the bound grey liz). When he unbinds, I'm on re-gravity and heal duty. The BLM saves up MP and unloads on it.
It took us 9 minutes both runs, so it's probably not the most efficiant run, considering the time was 4 minutes before. Only decent drop we got was a darksteel ore, which isn't that great at all. I might do this for fun with my friends, but I don't think you'll make cash off of this in three runs considering the belts seem to be rare.

RNG/NIN and currently have a bronze moogle belt (+1% HP and +1water res.) and i am soooo sick of this delay. so if a lv30+ bard on Unicorn would like to help me out id apreciate it (i already have a mnk friend for help too) and the only item i need to keep is (if you didnt notice) the Sarashi. gimme a tell or just reply to this thanks.

I just did this yesterday and today, we set a record both times on Ifrit with the same people. First was 6 mins 1 seconds, second was 5 mins 15 seconds.

Blinding Potion (pld, rdm, smn)
Drops:
First Time
- Lizard Skin
- Clear Topaz

Second Time

Once we got in there, we buffed up with our drinks and Protect II (later found out we could have used pies and food before entering). Everyone used their Blinding Potions to prevent petrification, then I (PLD) ran to the two lizzards and provoked the white one. RDM binded the brown one. I used Sentinel to get hate and Shield Bashed the brown one to keep hate, since I can only provoke one at a time ^^;. RDM was binding and healing. SMN used her 2hr (Shiva with Diamond Dust), got MP back with high-ethers, and did that three times until both lizards eventually died. New record was set, 6 mins 1 sec.
The second time was basically the same except Bind lasted only about 10 seconds until it wore, and my Blinding Potion wore off the second before a lizard used Stone Gaze (petrify). RDM died due to healing = hate problem, and I couldn't 2hr (Invincible) to get hate off of him since I was petrified. We still won and set a new record, 5 mins 15 secs.
Hmm...I am curios. Did SE change the time record? Because last night I went to fight this BCNM and the time record was 7 min 20 sec. We fought 5 times and won 4 times (died in the first fight).
Well i want to make the BCNM with two friends with the same party setup. Just two questions:
1.) Why Bind the brown one, when PLD has to go to the brown one (after voking the white) and shield bashes him...and of course i think beating him ?
2.) At wich Lizzard shall SMN start with Astral-Flow ?
Maybe you could explain your strategy a bit clearer. Thanks for that !!

The RDM binds the brown one so once the PLD shield bashes it, then the PLD moves out of the lizard's attacking range. Shield bash is so that after bind wears off, the lizard wont immediately chase the RDM and instead go for the PLD.
As for Astral Flow, it doesn't matter which lizard you target since Diamond Dust is an AOE and will hit both lizards. If at any time a lizard goes after the RDM or SMN, the RDM or SMN should run towards the other lizard so that Diamond Dust can hit both of them. If not...I'd say you're screwed. ^^;

i think i might try this BCNM
I've done this one 6 times, won 5 using a party setup mnk mnk smn. You read that right, mnk mnk smn. It was pretty easy, the only loss was on our second try when the smn lost his pet (which was tanking the white liz) and got killed before one of the mnks could voke it. Smooth sailing all 5 other times.
Please give me some comments for my thoughts.

I was just thinking that RDM binds one of them and the WAR is provoking and fighting the other one. WHM heals the WAR and RDM can do some debuff things but always keeps a eye on the bounded lizzards and binds it again if the effect wears off. So after the while the first one should die and all three can focus on the last an will win.
Do you think it will work ?? Please help us out!

Glad to see some people have had good luck with this one.
I tried this with 2 of my LS members. War/Nin, Blm/Whm, and Drk/Thf(me). I know Drk don't normally do BCNM, but we decided to try it.
Plan was, we pop in and buff, Blm EM Binds grey lizard, War vokes brown, we bash on it until grey's bind becomes undone, then I 2hr grey until that wears off (2 X-potions when needed) and then kite til brown is dead.
First Try: Everything was slaughtered....on our side /cry
Second Try: Actually was going pretty good, no one died or anything. Then the grey one petrified me, linked w/ brown, petrified War, killed him then me then they ganked the Blm. /sigh
I could have killed the brown with a Blizzard but wasn't unpetrified in time. Oh well, we're trying again tomorrow with more potions and hopefully better luck.

I'm going to be trying to take on this BCNM this weekend as a THF. Don't worry I have a strategy I think my work, but I need two people on the Gilgamesh server willing to help me. Anyone interested?

I broke my record on the unicorn server.. it was 2 minutes 39 seconds.. did it in 1 minute 55 seconds... and even though, my friend used the wrong macros and was a real slow poke...
Best SMN PT I had.. Tripslayer, Oremor the macro busted slow poke and Samatha the butt saver!
