Description

You need a full alliance of 18 people. You have 30 minutes to kill Tartaruga Gigante, an Adamantoise.

ok my LS on Odin ( unleashedforce ) did this one tonight and i report here.
It was our first try, we did 2 runs - first was a disaster, second went better.
But we lost both because running out of time.
Setup:
Tank PT: PLD/NIN, BRD,WHM x2, RDM ( me ), BLM
Melee DD Party
Nuke party: 6 BLM + 1 BLM in tank pt.
First of all: second run went "good" we had full control of the fight and no one died, we didnt even need to heal much - thats the good part.Our Leader read some things on the main problem: bring him out of his shell, but it seems no one really knows what will do so.
Basically when he is out of shell:
Melee DD hit them, PLD/NIN tanks - he doesnt cast in this form and he shouldnt be a prob to tank. ( kite / tank form )
Melee DD dont do SC, save all TP !!!

When he gets in Shell:
He casts Flood, Waterga IV, silence/slowga.
Waterga hits for around 700 - 1k, i remember i took 600dmg with stoneskin up + Shell 5, Barwater i dont know remember - so he can kill everyone with no SS up or not full HP.
Silence got resisted around 20-30% with 308 skill ( af body,elite beret,enfeeb torque, HQ Wind Staff, 3 enfeeb merits, 1 wind acc. yet ) RDM concentrate on Silence right when he goes in Shell.
Paralyze sticked all the time, procced around 2x.
Got lucky after silence wore i was in cast for refresh/others and he casted waterga, but paralyze procced and saved someones live.

He has high regen, i guess the highest in this Game it must be around 500HP per tic.
BLMs nuke when he is in shell to COUNTER his regen, we did 5k+ dmg in lets say 25sec. and his HP didnt really went down...hell it went up !!!

Now i cant say for sure but: Melee DD now do Skillchain and this MIGHT bring him out of his shell.
We dont know for sure, one time he just was in shell for some secs.,sometimes he was there for 30 - 60 secs. or so.
Now the same procedure doing again.

Summary:
- Bring echo drops, unlucky + long fight and you need a half stack for just one fight.
- PLD/NIN have shadows up if a cast goes off flood gets eaten by 1 shadow.
- Try testing with skillchains from melee PT what brings him out of shell AND what doesnt bring him back in shell that fast.
BLM nuke when he is in shell, rest when out.

- RDM concentrate when he is in Shell on silence, this is your main priority.
* This is very important and makes the fight way easier. When he cant cast, he is no prob to tank and does no really dmg *

PS:
I doubt you can counter his regen without a lot of BLMs,so yeah: you need 10+
