Mission OrdersFind a section of the strange structure on the Konschtat Highlands that drains the energy from crystals. WalkthroughNote: To be able to accept this quest, you may have to trade up to a stack of crystals to a gate guard. Speak to any Bastokan Gate Guard to accept this mission. The Gate Guard will tell you to speak with Cid at (H-8) on the second floor of the Metalworks. Speak to Cid and he will give you a crystal. After receiving the crystal, head to the Crag of Dem at (I-7) in the Konschtat Highlands. Trade the crystal to the Telepoint and you will get a Faded Crystal. Return to the Metalworks and speak to Cid. He will give you the C. L. Report. Key Item and ask you to take it to Ayame. Speak to Ayame, located at (K-7) of the Metalworks, to complete this mission. you can trade any of your crystals in to the Guards by the gates leading out of town to the Gustabergs. Just use the "Trade" command on a guard with I.M. after his name.

Ive completed this quest and Wading Beasts at lvl 10, and im still not rank 3. When i talk to the guy, he gives me these 2 quests again and emissary. Wondering whats up, or do i have a bug?
Wading Beast and CL are not rank promoting missions. The mission which will get you to rank 3 is the Emissary. Try donating some crystals. I suggest earth, as they are worth about 5 gil a stack (ok maybe 1 or 2g more).

Anyway, can someone tell me or give me a site that says what the C.L. report from Cid said? I forgot to read it, though last time they were mad that I did (the 1st mission).

I just finished the quest by saying to Ayame that she looks more reliable than Naji and she responded pretty much the same thing : "You're very perceptive, I like that in an adventurer. I guess I'll be seeing you around a lot more."
And give me nothing. :)

to complete this mission u first need to take any crystals u get from monsters or buy 1 from the AH, then head to highlands and trade with the telepoint at them crag-dem, u will get a "faded crystal" in return then go back to cid and trade the "faded crystal" to him, he will then give u a report that u need to deliver to either Naji or Ayame. talk to Naji and he will tell u to deliver the report to Ayame. just talk to either one of them, no trading is necessary.

You do not need the crystal that Cid gives you (not sure IF he gives you one). ANY crystal will do. "Trade" a crystal with the Crag of Dem teleport point located in the K. Highlands. Just hit TAB and you will select the teleport point, then "Trade". Ayame is located in the Metalworks, in the Cannonry on the left rear outside of the President's Office.

I trade 1000 Crystal with the telepoint crag-dem. over 1 month

I spoke with Cid and he just keeps telling me "You remember what to do right?" But i have no crystal and no key item. i think im bugged. any way of getting this again?

Cid doesn't give you a crystal. You can use any cystal that the monsters drop.

Teleport-DEM is a WHM spell, not BLM. Just a note.

When giving the crystal to Ayame after talking to Naji (he said give it to Ayame but not to tell her that you went to him first) She askes why I gave it to her and I replied "I felt like it" And I recevied nothing.
Did anyone pick any of the other options like "Naji has no skillz" or "You like a responsible blah blah blah" ?

i just donate 12 earth crystals to get this mission
I was able to get this quest at rank 2.25. I simply did the fetish doll quest again and was able to get this quest.

You need to trade any of the crystals you get as loot from monsters(i.e water crystals, earth crystals) to the telepoint. When you do that, you get a faded crystal. Give that to Cid.

Ok, I went exploring and made it to the Crag of Dem. I exp'd around the area and if you go up to the crystals and click them, which I did, you get a shard which allows you to teleport to Dem.
This was before I even started this mission. It appears by doing this I have bugged myself, and I can't complete it.
I got the mission, went to Cid, he told me to goto the Crag of Dem and trade with the crystal. It says I have a "Key item crystal" but nothing tradeable nor did Cid give me one. When i got to the crystal to try it, my game crashed...
Not sure what to do at this point.

You need to trade a crystal that you get from the monsters with the teleporter, not click on the teleport, clicking on it will get you the teleport crsytal which is only for BKM teleport spell Teleport: Dem to work on you.

I was able to receive this mission upon reaching level 9. I just turned in a whole bunch of crystals of varying types.

You don't need conquest points, you need rank points. I turned in 2 stacks of crystals and it got me enough points to be 1/4 of the way or so to rank 3 and then I could start the quest.
Instead of turning in crystals you can do the Fetch quest again for more rank points...but I spent enough time killing those turtles as it was.

Do you need to have a certain level of conquest points to do this mission?? Cause he's telling me I have to re-do some quests or turn in crystals before he'll give me my next mission? Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Give the guards crystals until your about 2.5 rank then you can do the quest.
