Repeatable

Yes, this quest is repeatable. If you have finished it you get 750 gil and he tells you to bring him some more if you can. I wouldn't recommend for fame unless you are going to run back to sandy every time you go to an XP PT and get full on shells lol. Well good luck and i hope its worth the 750 gil. Mind you it's not that big of a deal if you wait. You don't HAVE to buy them from the AH and most of the time they aren't available. So goodluck on the quest and just remember he is ABOVE the AH near the banister (you can see him from ground level)

Doing this quest right now (Along with 5 other Jugner quest, 2 Davoi quest and 1 Davoi Mission). Just took out 12 stag beetles and not a single one of them dropped a Shell. What's the drop rate on these things and are there diffrent beetles out there with a higher drop rate (yes, I have THF 15 subbed).

On that note, I did get a large ammount of Beetle Jaws which would mean that the drop rate on em' has been raised from what Scarab beetles drop.

I think the drop rate on theses in Garlaige Citadel is overwhelming at times

It seems to be fairly low to me(can't give a exact count though).

I spent about 3-4 hrs in jugner today killing every beetle I could find. In that time I got 4 beetle shells.

This is with theif subbed.

In order to do this you must have fame in the city, or in otherwords, you must have done previous missions prior to getting the mission from him. So go look under Quests for Sandoria and then go and do the really easy quests. You should only have to do about 5-10 quests before you are able to get the quest from him.
Minimum lvl
# Nov 18 2003 at 5:34 AM Rating: Decent
Minimum lvl is not the the required lvl to get the quest, it is the required lvl to complete the quest by normal standarts. You can of course finish the mission five lvl's lower than that, dodging all the creatures, dying alot or getting help from a higher lvl friend.
That minimum stands for a solo player or a small party playing the mission in a easy to normal difficulty.
Min Level

Minimum Level is wrong, I was able to get this quest at levl 10.
RE: Min Level
# Feb 29 2004 at 11:35 AM Rating: Default
you lie. there is NO WAY you could have even survived jugner alone OR in a full party of lv10. there are lots of monsters there that aggro: tigers, goblins, orcs,... and not even that, you can't even kill a stag beetle alone at lv10, those beetles are lv20-23 monsters. and if you were in a full party of lv10, you STILL wouldnt be able to kill them because of their high defense. so again there is NO WAY you could have done this at lv10, unless you had a few lv25+ friends with you that you didnt mention.

lol.. calm down man.. the dude said "GET" the quest, not go out and kill the critters. I mean come on.. I know it's tough, but even a level 10 can survive the horrors of the auction house to buy 5 shells. Why they would, I don't know... but it *can* be done. ;)
