Summary

Antreneau's Uncle Louverance set out on a journey to cross the Uleguerand Range quite some time ago. Antreneau tells you that the other side of the mountains can be reached through a cave found on the slopes of Thousandfall Ridge...

Walkthrough

To activate this quest you need to go to Southern San d'Oria, (G-7), go on the 2nd floor of the house, read the diary a couple of times until you have read up to page 4.

After that head back to Port San d'Oria and talk to Antreneau in the Rusty Anchor Pub who will say that the map for Uleguerand Range is top secret and his nephew has gone there to investigate the mountains. He asks you to find his nephew and tell him he wishes him back soon. Now you have the quest, and you need a Moblin Hotrok. Moblin Hotrok is dropped by Moblin Ashman in Oldton Movalpolos.

When you have the rock, go to Uleguerand Range. What you are looking for in Uleguerand Range is a ??? at about the position of F-9, as F-9 seems very easy to get to, this is NOT the case, the position is among the cave ledges you can't reach from the entrance, what you now have to do is run all around Uleguerand Range to the top of it. For this will Sneak and Invisible be needed for anyone who attempts doing this as the mobs here starts con at Easy Prey to Tough at the entrance for lv65. At the highest point there will be mobs that are IT++ for lv75. Also there is a monster type here that sees through Sneak and Invisible, be cautious and you can avoid them. Do not jump down holes on the way. Brontotaur, Tyrannotaur and Molech is the mob that sees through, if I forgot another name they have, you should recognize it nonetheless.

Once you are at the top, start walk towards F-9 and you will see two slopes, if you face so you can see both, the right one is where you will be sliding down. As if the hard part was to reach this point, the hardest is now to slide correctly and either find a hidden hole on the slope to reach the caverns, or land on the platform down below, which by the way is VERY difficult to see til its almost to late. The left ledge of the slope is where you should go, but not completely into the ledge. When you reach either the hole (which you wont see til you fall through) or manage to land on the platform, walk around inside the caves and look for the ???.

Trade the Moblin Hotrok and you will get a cutscene. Afterwards you get the map and quest complete.

Well delfin nice post except u must have been either facing the wrong way or drunk ;p cuss its the right slope and from the right ledge, u walk 20-25 paces (as a hume) i dont know how many galka or taru paces that would be but if u miss it once just count them from the bottom. so if u come and u are facing the big stone that separates the 2 slopes its the right one and there u go to the RIGHT edge NOT left.

well i got my map today and it was all becuase of my stuborn friend :)

Looks to me like SE is keeping the monsters for those lvs just waiting tell the lv cap is rised. Hehe so this is going to be one of the places to lv from probably lv 77-79+ on. ^^

im sure there are people lvl 75 that are willing to form an alliance to kill those things just to see what they drop, cuz whatever it is they could sell for obscene amounts seeing as not too many people are gonna get it themselves. But then again nobody would really know what the crap is unless its equipment or something that drops off of easier mobs.

So they now updated the quest info to the one i posted, and i now noticed it lacks some info, there is several quests that needs to be completed before you can read page 4 of the diary, A Taste for Meat and Medicine Woman, also the fame needed is probably the same you need to start the "To Cure a Cough" quest, i havent really started that quest, but the diary sets up the starts for it at page3. hope the info helps ^^

for me it was the left side of the right ridge, in the ridge there are hidden holes, on the right side there was one that led me correctly, since i had to run up there 4 times failing to land correctly i know the horribility... the quest is a major pain either way

Im so ticked off. I have maxed fame in Sandy. I have done all quests involving the diary and the Bar. When I read page 4 then go talk to the elvaan in the bar, He just says that lame "a taste for meat" quest comment, "all right, time to eat" or somthing close to that. I spent a few hours completing these lame quests just to unlock the map quest and now Im completely stumped. What am I doing wrong?

I know how you feel. I can't get the quest to activate either. I have tried everything I know, and nothing helps.

Wow... like 2 soon 3 weeks ago I sent in info for this and a complete walkthrough and positions... and they add something undetailed? bah, ah well i guess i can say this: dont do this quest unless you have insane patience or got alot of luck, finding right spot to slide down from at the top is a ***** the first few times unless you already know *cough left side of the right slide, not to the edge, but still* :)

I am very behind on updates and so Haggan added this quest from a different submission before I could get to yours.

The moral of the story is: Don't send in the detailed information in an email. Post the information to the quest. If the quest is not up yet, don't complain when it comes up. Save your detailed information and post it when the quest appears here. It is very easy to write in a word processor your comments and save them and later cut and paste them to the message board here when the board catches up to you. imho
woohoo!

Wow no info here.

guess I will add some. You need the Moblin Hotrok which is dropped off Moblin Ashman near the switches in Oldton Movopolis (sp?)

After you get that and have activated the quest you need to travel to Uleguerand Range and proceed to the very top of Thousandfall Ridge which is all IT++ mobs on the way to lvl 75. Some of them have True Sight as well so be careful. Once at the top of the ridge you need to slide down the slope which is difficult to do and drop to the ledge on the left.. there are 3 ledges. Becareful becuse of course if you miss the ledge you need to trek all the way back up to the ridge again. Once you have dropped proceed into cave and you will find a ??? trade hotrok with it.

Reward is a map of the range btw.

Hope that helps!
