Summary

Brygid, the "stylist extraordinaire," has given you more fashion advice, so it's time to go shopping.

Walkthrough

First off: This quest requires that you complete Brygid, the Stylist, where she wants you to show up in a Robe and Bronze Subligar. After you've finished it, zone (hitting the Mog House is fine) and come back while wearing any Artifact armor piece. Your AF weapon will not work. You only need to have one AF armor on your body to trigger this quest.

Brygid will ask that you get a new body armor and leg armor to meet the demands of the fashion world. Do so.

When you come back she offers up a listing of 13 body armors. All are level 50. All are rare/ex. All are JSE, though some have two jobs available (one is BLM/SMN, one is WHM/SMN, one is RDM/BRD, one is WAR/PLD).

When you select an item Brygid then demands one of the new JSE subligaria. These drop off Fomor in Phomiuna Aqueducts as well as in the Sacrarium, both of which are Chains of Promathia areas. To reach Phomiuna Aqueducts you have to finish the Promyvion quests. All JSE subligaria are level 50 and rare/ex, so you personally have to go there to get yours. Once you have obtained it, trade it in to her.

This quest is repeatable.

The second time she asked for different items, both of a slightly higher level and slightly more expensive than before.

Ok;
I am officially pissed off about this quest!!!
Im a 67 rng and a 55 rdm do I though I had my bases cover for the quest. I go to that evil little ******* child with my rng and she asks for a robe and bronze subligar. Ok np, so I go to get it and...oh crap Im a rng I cant wear the subligar, oh poo. So I go to MH and change jobs to rdm. Equip the nasty looking stuff. Talk to her and bam, first part finish. Then I talk to her again to start the next section of the quest. She asks me for a pyro robe and a SCORPION SUBLIGAR!!!!! WTF IS THIS ************ I DONT WANT THE DANG RDM JSE I WANT THE RNG JSE!!! And I have to be 57 to even do the damn quest!!! I have spent the last two days dying several times to try and get this damn subligar and my rdm isnt even lvld high enough to wear the damn scorpion subligar! GRRRRR (Sorry I am very frustrated with this)Why does se have this quest setup to make you have to be higher lvl than your af2? So here is my question: can I go back to her as rng and restart the quest? Cause Im pretty sure she wont make me wear the war set next which is lvl 70, so IM pretty sure I would be good?
Also do I have to wear them or can I just trade them? Thank you for bearing my venting post. Well Im off to go burninate peasants...

A scorpion subligar is different from a Scorpius subligar. the scorpion subligar is a 57 piece of gear.

I spent the greater part of yesteday and this morning(till 5:30am)doin the subligay run wit the etngods ls. Needless to say we ALL died over 4 times each but it was worth it. we got atleast one of every subligar and we camped almost all the spots. in an alliance of 11 we made out fine wit 2rng brd rdm whm mnk(me) 2war/nin. whm had reraise up at all times and i cannot stress enough how important this was. On the second map we did most all our shopping and we went to the third map once to get map and ran into one of the 6xfomor parties suprisingly we survived but barely. Also in the most northwest room we encountered 2 nms Tres Dibonius or somethin like that and Duendes amados and when we pulled one the other linked. Tres is a bat nm that hits pretty hard and drops a nice dagger with +10 acc i believe and the vampiric claws which are lvl 39 and have a hp drain effect. good for farming. unfortunately i had a horible night and lotted a 7 on the claws. From my encounter with the fomors most of the time our strategy was to kill mage and DD first then go for nin, pld, war fomors. other than a few deaths in the beginning this worked well. IMO the hardest fomor is the little **** taru mnk. that one gave us hell and we had to kill 4 times b4 drop. It uses shackled fist, a mini version of asuran fists, so b carefull and let ur nin or tank eat that ws.

Good luck fomor hunting and if ur on shiva and need help holla at me

well me being the idiot i am accidentally picked the wrong armor when she asked me which i wanted

sooo... is there anyway i can cancel the quest and pick a different one? or do i have to go get the RDM subligar (-.-)p and then get the BST subligar that i originally meant to get?

also, im pretty sure it is, but is the quest repeatable?

Dealing with partied Formor with small groups

Well I thought I'd share my stratagy for dealing with partied formor if you happen to go hunting subligar with a small group. Last night we were hunting for a sam subligar with a party of only 5 people :

PLD
WAR
SAM
THF
WHM

The only sam we knew of was in the 4 member party in the same room as tres dunides (or however you spell his name). We get down there, and sure enough the NM is up, as well as the party we were expecting + a solo MNK (now no jokes about MNK not being able to find parties even in the afterlife).

We know we can't even begin to handle the party with such a small group, so I came up with the following plan (I'm the warrior in this case), and we are camping in one of the two tunnels leading into the room:

1) War sneaks up and crosses the room to the mouth of the other tunnel.
2) Wait for the solo mnk to move near WAR puller.
3) Pull one of the party members using a RA, this of course causes sneak to drop, and the mnk to aggro, just make sure not to pull the formor you wish to fight.
4) PLD comes in from the other side, provokes the SAM out of the group, and pulls it to camp.
5) War pulls the rest of the party and the lone mnk into the other tunnel, where you find a nice clear place to K.O.
6) The rest of the party takes down the SAM (or whichever formor party member you wish to fight), while the rest of the formor party slowly wanders back to their starting positions (they will not go after the rest of the players). Once the SAM is dead, the other formor in the party will despawn.
7) WHM sneaks up and raises WAR.
8) Rinse and repeat.

This allows you to pull a single member out of a party fairly safely, and with a raise the xp loss at lvl 40 is minimal.

If your group has a blm and either a bst or smn or someone who can sub smn (and now can sub pup), you could do this by having the blm and the person with the pet form a seperate group, attack one of the fomor you don't want, let someone from the main group provoke them out and the 2 man party can then escape out. It's not too hard to get back to thesse places if your carefull and there would be no deaths at all doing this. Considering how long the spawn times are you'd probably have no additional down time doing this either.

lol I hear ya Curt, that sucks eh? I finished my promy's specifically so I could get the Rapparee Harness. Go to Tavnazia and do all the prerequisites to get into the aquaducts, run back to bastok, do the first part of the quest, zone out. Talk to that demon child again with my AF gloves equipped, Lo and Behold! Silk Coat + Scorpion Subligar. The Silk Coat is only 60k on my server, childs play. But the Scorpion Subligar?

=O

=/

(>.<)

Phooey.....only 4 levels way ..... +40k exp away....Demon child could have at least given me something I could wear without spending hours exping for. And to top it all off, guess what body armor Thf's can equip at 57? *gasp* That's right, Scorpion Harness.....which I'm getting...so oh well, no Rapparee harness for me.

Demon child /fume

Okay there are several pieces of gear on this list I would want for different jobs. My question is how many times can you repeat this quest? Like for instance if I wanted BLM, BST, NIN, DRG, and SAM armor would I be able to repeat this quest and get all 5? As it says this it repeatable up top, but has anyone gotten more than one?
Did this last night.

Finally did this quest last night. 10 people went along... Well, technically 11, but one of them conked out before we even started...

Party Setup: 3x RNG/NIN, NIN/WAR,WAR/NIN, 3xWHM, BLM/WHM and a SAM/THF.

This set-up seemed to be fairly effective, though we did run into some difficulties... 3 whole party wipes ^.^; Still, you get LOADS of EXP in this place (Even with 30 exp a mob, you are killing so many, it adds up.)

We only camped two sets of Fomor, the Unpartied RNG/THF, NIN, BST and DRG and the BLM, MNK and partied SAM, DRK, NIN and RNG. The party was a lot of fun. First fight, god knows what we were thinking, we just pulled them, and hoped for the best, ehe. Second time, we actually came up with a strategy. Each of the RNG took a fomor, and Shadowbound it, whilst the rest of the party took the SAM first. When shadowbind wore off, we kited the fomor. Was fun ^.- We could probably have slept them, but kiting was more fun.

After about 5 hours of hunting, we get 2 (Luckily. Last two fomor we killed before EVERYONE went) RNG subli, too many BRD/BST subli, a few NIN, DRK, SAM and DRG subli, as well as a Fomor Tunic. Grats Cid ^.^; Unfortunetly, not everyone got their subli, but most of us did.

Unfortunely, maintinence is getting in the way of me parading around in my nice new Shikaree Aketon. ^.^ I plan on doing this again to get some subli for RDM.

If you go on a subli run, just be prepared for hours of fighting fomor, lots of deaths, and nerve wracking camp moves.

Finally gave up bought it off the npc in jueno 70k... but hello nokizaru gi! goodbye shinobi +1 and hello money again.

I spent the better part of Saturday (10 plus hours) with a party farming the subligar. I get my piece early on and stay with the party until everyone gets their pieces which takes forever. After the party, I'm too exhausted to head to Bastok so I log out.

First thing I do the next day is run to Bastok and talk to Brygid. She asks for a robe and bronze subligar. No problem, easy to find. Next she asks for a Wool Gambison and a pair of Beak Trousers. I end up flying to Jeuno to buy these pieces. I then fly back to Bastok and put the pieces on while I'm in front of Brygid. That's when I realize that I can't wear the trousers. I'm level 57 and they're level 58.

So I start thinking this can't be, maybe I need to trade her the items. Nothing. I've got to get 13,000 more experience until I can get my level 50 subligar. This is the first time I just don't get what the programmers were thinking in this game. Guess I need to start leveling.

My CoP Static spent the better part of 3 weeks inside the Sacrarium fighting fomors for the keys, and we are currently 0 and about 40 on any JSE drops. It may just be an incredibly rare drop rate, however, I do not believe the fomors in ths Sacrarium drop them, and would recommend not going there for JSE farming.

Please, if someone has gotten a drop in the sacrarium please post, however, I would still say it is too rare a drop if the do drop there to make them practical to farm.

Subligars most deffinitely drop in Sacrarium.

I was in Sacrarium doing the mission the other night; killing some Fomors for keys during the mission yielded a subligar. We didn't kill many, as the keys seemed to be a more common drop, but we went about 1/7 on subligars. So they deffinitely do drop in Sacrarium.

She isn't telling me what I need to wear anymore. All I know is that she asked for a scorpian subligar. I've tried wearing padded and carapace armor with it.

Just thought I would add this, found out the hard way tonight.

Needed a Frost Robe, and Cuir Trousers. No trousers in stock anywhere, so I got a +1 thinking it would work....
I was wrong.
