I got the flint stones like she said she needed. Now I go to give them to her and she says she still needs them and no option comes up for me to give them to her.

Simplest quest ever, just go out into South Gustaberg and kill Tunnel Worms or Rock Eaters, take about 5 minutes to get 4 as there is a high drop rate.

I've done this quest like a million times now to raise fame so that I can get Warp Scroll <,<;

It doesn't have to be at ice day or whatever, I just go to her after 11 am and she asks for flint stones, but u have to wait for one game day to repeat.

I tried ~ 5 Times, to no Avail, but each of those Times, she ended in talking about "how she wishes she was single Again".

Went in @ 18:50 on Iceday, and she Actually said she was out of Stones, and asked for them in the Dialog. Traded, and completed quest from List, finally :)

I've noticed that Aquilina will not accept Flint Stones at night. She will usually accept them only between 6:00 and about 20:00.

well i went inside the next room and talked to the husband then came back and even though the pot was still boiling, she asked for the flints.

So, I have no idea if that had some bearing on it.

I have good fame (they know my name). but couldnt get this quest. However, I did notice that the pot was boiling and steam coming out of it. So maybe when its not boiling she will give it to me. Blah.

The San Dorian equilvelent of this quest can be done at any time, and less hassle having to wait 15 mins too.
Do it at
# Aug 15 2004 at 6:55 PM Rating: Decent
OK 6:30 is when you can give start giveing her the stone. d
RE: Do it at
# Oct 01 2004 at 11:20 PM Rating: Excellent
It can be done anytime.

You just you have to wait 15minRL, if someone else did it (thats right someone who isnt you)

Thats why people are saying I've done it at "this time" and "that time"

They should add it to the description.
eazy

She needs the stones to light her oven to COOK. This quest is NOT only available at night, but also in the morning (breakfast) and before lunch.

Since only one person every 15 minutes can do this quest, it is not a good source of fame/money. So farming flint stones to give *her* is not a good idea, unless you feel like going to San d'Oria and doing the quest there.

Whenever I have a whole mess of flint stones, I usually check up on her to see if I can't do this quest, and half the time she'll take them. I take the rest and make pebble soup for a little money and (low level) cooking skill.

And yes, she'll take them at any time of day. It's the 15 minute thing that determines whether you can do it or not.

I'm pretty sure she took them during the day for me. You do have to wait 6 game hours (15 minutes) after the last person - whether it was you or someone else - gave her some flint stones, before she'll want any more.

Thus it's kind of a nuisance as far as repeatables go, and if you want fame and gil for your flint stones, take them to the quest in San d'Oria instead.
yep
# Jun 01 2004 at 5:21 AM Rating: Default
yep she only takes them at night for me too.

for the guy that said he did it in broad daylight i think you are starting to cloud the ingame & real life worlds or you have a secret that you should share with us !

I've done this quest once a LONG time ago. I went back to redo this quest and it said she had all the flint stones she needed. How is this quest repeatable? Or is there just a problem? It's been several weeks in fact and you're saying it's every 6 hours.

It would seem that she only takes them at night.

K-9, Goldstreet, Bastok Markets. I walk in, talk to her at 13:30 (not at night, no mention of husband), she says she needs 4 Flint Stones and she'll pay for them. I split up my stack, trade her 4 (one in each slot), and she gives me 100 gil, quest complete.

After I completed the quest I could hear her stuff cooking...water boiling noise. I'm guessing that after a certain amount of time it will stop boiling, that's when the quest can be done by the next person, or redone by yourself.

times when npc accepts

Urakh is correct. Off mysterytour website:

"Four flint stones is passed. However when other PCs clear, it does not generate for about 15 minutes in earth time."
every 6 game hours
# Jan 13 2004 at 8:53 PM Rating: Default
You can repeat this quest 1 time every 6 game hours.

I've done this quest at practically any time - daytime, nighttime, dawn, dusk, you name it - so the time at which you attempt the quest is not a factor.

Sorting the Flint into stacks of four instead of seven does not have any impact on getting the quest. I nearly always had more than four when I turned in mine.

Like everyone keeps saying, she only accepts one stack at a time - so if somebody else trades in a stack two seconds before you do, she won't accept your stack.

My guess is that once somebody trades in a stack, a timer starts running - and that she won't accept a new stack before it runs out. No clue how long this timer would be, but at least several hours - prolly 3~6. It might be that she resets and starts accepting batches again at specific times, instead - but I seriously doubt that.
