Battle Notes

To begin, trade 60 Beastmen Seals to Shami at (H-8) in Port Jeuno in order to obtain the Rare/Ex item Moon Orb. Upon receiving the orb, make your way to the Waughroon Shrine zone located in the Palborough Mines dungeon.

Be advised that only three players can enter the battlefield, that their levels will be capped at level 60, and that there is a 15 minute time limit that starts the moment the orb trader enters the battlefield.

Upon entering the battlefield, you will find Fe'e, a Sea Monk type mob.

  • After taking a set amount of damage, a message will appear saying that "One of the sea creature's tentacles have been wounded." This can happen up to six times, with the final time producing the message, "All of the sea creature's tentacles have been wounded."

  • For each tentacle wounded, the number of melee attacks per round it performs decreases, yet the damage from each attack increases proportionally. After the last tentacle is wounded, the normal melee attacks will be replaced by an attack with the animation of Ink Jet. This attack has a knockback effect and is magic based.

In order to spawn the armoury crate, Fe'e must be defeated within the allotted time.

Strategies

Note: These are just some of the strategies possible to successfully complete this BCNM.

Black Magex2, Red Mage Setup

One of the more commonplace strategies involves two Black Mage and one Red Mage using a Sleep and nuke method. Upon entering the battlefield and buffing up, the two Black Mages will time an Elemental Seal Burst with the Red Mage following up by sleeping Fe'e. As the Red Mage debuffs Fe'e with Paralyze, Gravity, and the like, the Black Mages time Freeze followed by the Red Mage sleeping it again. Repeating this pattern will result in Fe'e being defeated with little trouble.

Summonerx3 Setup

Another strategy involves three Summoner and the Carbuncle avatar. Upon entering and buffing up, the three summoners will call out Carbuncle and all assault Fe'e. As soon as they strike Fe'e to ensure they're within range, run up towards the avatars and use Meteorite and then, after the Meteorites hit, move down the tunnel towards the exit until you can no longer see Carbuncle's hp bar.

  • Because the repeated use of Meteorite will deplete your mp, it is recommended to bring two Yagudo Drinks per BCNM fight.

Making sure to keep Stoneskin and Blink up as much as possible, repeat Carbuncle assaults and Meteorites until Fe'e is defeated.

Paladin, Melee, Black Mage Setup

Upon entering the battlefield and buffing up, have the Paladin run in first and pull Fe'e towards one of the walls of room and position it so that the Paladin's back is against the wall. At this time, the Paladin and the melee will begin to attack it while the Black Mage helps cure the Paladin due to Fe'e's rapid melee attacks often causing the Paladin's spells to be interrupted. Once enough of the tentacles have been damaged so that the Paladin is able to cure himself without worrying about being interrupted, the Black Mage can focus more on debuffing and nuking Fe'e. If it is possible, it is recommended to form Distortion and/or Fragmentation skillchains so that the Black Mage can magic burst off them to maximize spell damage.

RNG/NIN BLU/DNC BLM/RDM
# Mar 05 2013 at 10:40 AM Rating: Decent
Used the setup above last night with good results. RNG started off the fight with Barrage. BLM/RDM immediately Gravity/Bind/Blind. RNG then kited Fe'e around the arena with BLU (me) timing physical spells and BLM doing light nuking. Auto Refresh for BLU is a big help. Also carry Magic fruit just in case. We finished each fight between 6 and 8 mins. No Kraken Club drop but good money for 6 runs.
Another Party set up!

We did this the other night and just crushed it 3 times! Part set up was Sam/War Sam/Dnc Rdm/War! It worked great w/ the Rdm Kite tanking and the 2 Sam's just hammering away. The 1 time we got in a pinch the Rdm slept it did convert healed us rested and then proceeded w/ the beating! I like this set up a lot and it should be added as pretty much a sure win everytime as long as you know what your doing!
got it!

Hi guys. i duo this bcnm everytime i have 60 seals with my 2 accounts, I whent in yesterday for the 6th time ever i believe and did my run as usual didnt take 1 hit from the kraken like i always do, it was a flawless win and i guess it must of been my lucky day cause i am skilling up club with my new kraken club as we speak^^, awsome feeling when i got kicked out of the bcnm area and looked in my chat log to see a "You find a Kraken club in the armory crate" ^^, now to skill up and sell it, with this money am almost done with my Amanomurakumo!! *happy tears*
A Different Setup
# Jul 30 2008 at 11:35 PM Rating: Decent
Did this Bcnm today (Cuz hey who wouldn't want a Kraken Club?)

I have read all the posts and still wanted to try a setup I didnt see anyone mention.
So here it goes.
Me (Breht) 60Pld/30War
Temptress:60Mnk/30War
Xavior: 60Rdm/30Blm

First off a key if you didn't read already: (Having Bibiki Seashell Equipped helps alot.) May only stop 4-20 Hits but that's 4-20 Hits you don't have to waste mp to cure for!
(Me and Monk both had Seashell equipped to try for this fight and it avoided about 25 hits grand total between us both.)

Anyways on to the fight. We all expect the worst possible outcome so we brought Yag drinks, Str food, Def Food, Reraise Items Etc. We enter the bc (I cast Pro3, Shell3, use reraise gorget and take a Tav Taco then /heal to get full.

Rdm cast's pro3 shell3 on him and monk then a stoneskin, and a refresh.
After done medding about 2 mins in to bc fight. We stand up and start hauling to the fight. Rdm cast's Haste on me and the monk and we run on in.

Ran right in Casted Flash, popped Voke, Defender, Sent and started melee'
Monk got right behind the mob, popped Focus, Dodge, Berserk and started pounding the living crap outta him. Monk waited untill i got 100 tp then we did Howling Fist ~> Vorpal Blade Did pretty damn good damage to the mob. By the time the monk got tp the second time around Mob already lost some of his arms. I still had 90% health and damn near 50% of my mp still. Monk got hate for about 30 seconds after the second Howling fists but with +counter gear on (Avenger's and Cc's) Kraken was getting more hits thrown back at him then were landing with my flash on him. Anyways if u like me and Dont have a 60 Bst or a 60 Blm laying around for this fight just find a tank per a pld Kraken mob eats up nin shadows in no time flat and god forbid u gotta cast Utsusemi: Ichi while he still has all his arms because you just wont get it off in time. I tried nin on my first attempt with this bcnm and failed miserably. Anyways a good dd and a whm or rdm to keep hasted this fight is a breeze. Granted the drop rate isnt. U always get the blood and crap. Blood sells for 15k a pop on Bismarck sever. Not like 45k is worth losing 60 seals, but hey its a hella fun fight, and if its your lucky day you may get a Nice Kraken Club under that Christmas tree this year. Selling for 40,000,000 on Bismarck. It still a better drop rate then it was Camping LoO and waiting a day for his dumb *** to respawn just to not get the drop. I will repost when I get it and write if I did anything different happy hunting..
easiest runs ever
# Jul 05 2008 at 1:00 AM Rating: Good
did this BC several times last week. Suprisingly, this is the best setup we had:

RNG/NIN (me) , RDM/BLM , and COR/RNG.

RDM would go in to gravity and enfeeble, I'd barrage and start kiting and shooting. the COR did an amazing job DDing this thing and keeping our rolls up. We setup a SC Sidewinder-Slugshot and it just decimated Fe'e. During all 3 of the fights, the RDM didn't have to Convert even once. Fights were finished in under 6 minutes.

No Kclub, but still, a very fun fight indeed.
easy bcnm
# Jun 24 2008 at 12:38 PM Rating: Decent
I've have yet to lose this BCNM. Real easy if you have a decent setup. I always go as BLM/WHM and 2 LS members that are RDM/WHM and RNG/NIN. I go in ES Sleep II then the RDM casts gravity, paralyze, slow and blind. Then the RNG does sharpshot, velocity shot and barrage and begins kiting when i start casting freeze. After I get hate rng uses shadowbind and pisses it back off again. I alternate betweem highest tier ice and thunder spells along with freeze and burst if i have mp. Rdm has to keep gravity on him the whole fight and might have to sleep it when it begins to resist. good to sub whm because of needing to cure the rng and blindna. honestly a real easy fight. Fe'e tends to spam its tp moves towards the end which is a pain but other than that really not hard.

Darksteel Ingot also drops on this BCNM, I received one last night.

Have gone 3 BLM, 2 BLM and RDM, 2 BLM and BLU and 3 BST. All are fine ways to beat this mob.

As of last night am currently 0/68 on this one. C'mon SE, spread a lil luvin :p

Thank goodness Ima BST or I might run out of seals before I get the drop.

RDM/BLM solo

After playing around with the idea of soloing this, I finally tried it out last night and managed a win. Went RDM/BLM with some merits (60 MP, 20 HP, elemental 6, enfeebling 6) all HQ staffs but wind, missing a few important int gears but basic nuke set was:

staff/bugard strap+1
AF hat
black cotehardie
black cape+1
enlightened chain
AF hands (needed sly gaunts)
reverend sash (needed penitents)
cobra slops (needed magic cuisses)
hume RSE feet
zircon ring x 2 (needed genius)
moldavite earing
phantom earing
morion tathlum

Used AF body and enfeebling earing for gravity/sleep/bind, vermillion and antivenom earing for resting too. Used an ambrosia this fight, I imagine melon pie+1 would work as well. Buffed inside with stoneskin and refresh.

Started off the fight with elemental seal and cast bind right off followed by shock and then burn. Used chainspell and landed gravity, then cast thunder2 for 278 damage each, ran out of mp after 7 or 8 casts and used a vile+1 (probably didn't need this, just wanted to be safe) and got in a few more thunders. Once mp was out I bind and ran out of range to convert, cast cure 4 and reapplied refresh and put on haste, reapplied gravity and cast drain for 186 (this is by far your best mp per damage nuke this fight, abuse it) and proceeded to empty mp down again using thunder2 and blizzard2, he was at around 40% or so after all of this. Had a resist when I tried to sleep2 to rest and it timed perfectly with gravity dropping, got lucky and he used ink jet and stopped long enough to cast sleep, reapplied refresh then recast sleep2 and rested mp. Repeated this process with no problems and got him down to 8%, slept and then coverted for a drain > thunder2 > blizzard2 finish.

Fight took 11:49 minutes to complete, drops were the same garbage he always drops but it was very exciting and certainly one of my favorite solos. Certainly a few things I could tweak to make my next runs smoother, but for a first run I think it went pretty well. I need to remember to use bind more when gravity drops rather than sleeping, need to get my nuke and run timing perfected and really need to pay attention to sleep length timing. I also toyed with the idea of using bio/poison and kiting around instead of sleeping, but it seems much too risky since I think he starts building gravity resist after a few casts and I could probably do more damage with the mp just straight nuking.

560 more seals left and will probably be burning them on this :D

I do this on a regular basis with some friends. Set up: Pld/War, Whm/Rdm, Rng/Nin (Me.)

Have the Pld go in get hate. I normally let him flash/voke twice before I start my assault. Pld kites it around ring. Whm/Rdm Gravities it. It rarely resists the Grav, even from a Whm. After the Pld establishes hate, I go in and start wailin away. When I take Dmg the Pld will cure bomb me to get hate back, Whm always Blindna's me to make sure my Acc stays good. I get consistent Sidewinders with an EBow for 665. Sharpshot/Barrage >> Sidewinder when you can. Pretty much the Pld is there to keep it busy for the first few mins while I get TP. After I Sidewinder/Barrage/Sidewinder I am kiting it. Everyone else just keepin me alive mostly.

We don't break land speed records, but we get it done slow and steady, round abouts 9 mins or so. First two times we died. We tried to have the Pld straight tank it, it sucked, trust me, just kite it. Next two times we did it we had Pld kite worked much better. First time I dc'd 2 mins in, got back and ended up beating with 15 secs to spare. Next time the Whm dc'd ended up gutting it out with 8 secs to spare.... lol... I believe since we have perfected this set up we haven't lost even with DC's, and beat around 9-10 mins. 0/6 on the drop.

We are going to try a manaburn style when we are out of Seals on our Characters. My buddies wife has extra and she is a blm, so we will go in Blm/Rdm, Blm/Whm, Rdm/Blm. Sure it will be easy peasy. I'll update when we do it to tell the strat and how it worked out.

Every group has its way, but ideally for me if I could do it my way. I'd go with 2 Rng/Nin, and a Rdm/Whm. First time we did it, our Pld died, and I unloaded everything I had on it and took it down to 10% in a matter of a minute. Sidewider>>Barrage>>Sidewinder>>EES>>>Shoot, shoot,>>>Sidewinder. It was damn near dead. Ended up catching me without Shadows and it was hitting too fast too often for me to get them back up. Ended up dying.

If anyone has questions feel free to post here or send me a message.

ok well i did this with pld/war sam/thf (me) and rdm/blm. its Very simple. Redmage runs up and sleeps, pld vokes/flashes and i SATA Tachi:yukikaze. the rdm casts gravity and the pld kites it around the room using Earth Staff while i gain TP. rdm sleeps i SATA and we repeat until it dies. fastest time was about 7:15.

On a sidenote i was a nicely equipped sam (+57str on WS gear/food) tho the SATA WS were only doing about 500 and got about 3 that were 700+, also the rdm was throwing out some tier 2 spells as i was gaining TP and on the next round of kiting she would rest MP. if you use this strategy and Lose, well you should just quit FFXI.

4/4 on the fight and 0/4 on the club. ill be doing it again tomorrow also and Ill update on the drop.
RDM,BLU,RNG
# Jan 20 2008 at 4:43 PM Rating: Decent
Did this as RDM/BLM, RNG/NIN, and BLU/nin, it was EASY
and yes it is best for the blu to come /nin cuz he will sometimes pull hate) the rng did enough damage to hold hate most of the time, which gave me the chance to spam spells. as a blu head butt is a must it is very useful, the stun last a couple seconds giving people time for utsu or to do damage
as blu i just followed it around swinging using headbutt when i could, i used spells more then meleed tho, i usually used claw cylone, bludgeon, death scissors, and mandibular bite, it was a good combo, then when i got 100tp i used chain affinity and did death scissors. i didnt pull hate too much, the rng would just try and do all the damage they could while kiting the mob, if u have a good rng the barrages/sidewinders/shots should hold enough hate. the rdm just kept gravity on it, and binded, and when both were down and it was runnin full speed he would sleep it and we would pull off, thats if shadowbind wasnt rdy. so al and all an easy fight we finished all 3 fights within a few minutes each, we went 3/3 on wins, but got crappy drops. GL hope this helps

Did this a few nights ago as DRG/WHM with PLD/WAR and BLU/NIN.

Obviously the PLD tanked as I main-healed and DD'd, while the BLU DD'd and tossed a few heals. At around 20% mob hp, the BLU would sleep the kraken while we rested up. The BLU sleep was never resisted, and I believe she said it was her dark-based sleep that was sticking alot longer(was sticking for around 25 sec compared to 10 sec from sheep song).

The first run was very close because none of us had any experience with this BC, and it was down to me against the kraken at the end, but I was able to pull it off.

DRG/mage healer works great for this BC, just be sure to have a wyvern up as you head in and ready to recast, because the mob uses the aoe whirlwind a decent amount.

Overall this BC is very flexible as far as what jobs will work.

did this with LS and friends over 10 times now and other then the very first time we did it and kinda lost because of time since we were still learning it, we won every single fight. set up is either PLD (me), RDM and BLM or PLD and RDM X 2. no club so far, but i still have 3 more try before i need to go farm and save seals again so hopefully we'll get better luck on these last 3.

myself just go in with full PLD AF and what i usually use for xp PT and RDM and BLM more or less the same with even a few pieces equipments missing seems just fine. just go in, RDM gravity it and i go provoke then kite. goes pretty smooth as long as u pay attention to where it's at and the mage's don't go too crazy on nuking at the start. with 2 RDMs set up sometimes we cut a little close on time (once we finished with 14 minutes 13 second...) so make sure u watch the clock a little.

hopefully u guys have better luck, but yeah, with the right set up, this one isn't hard to do at all.

With the new Snarl ability for BSTs, this BCNM has become much easier. You can now rampage mid-battle and not have to worry about pulling hate. Just make sure all BSTs are using it, so one pet doesn t have all the hate.

I ve done it 6 times now with BST/WHMx3, 3 times before the update, and 3 times after the update. The difference was very noticeable.

Also got the KC to drop!! 1/6

Did 3 runs tonite, 3/3 were wins , but 0/3 on KC, go figure. Went 2X BLM/RDM (me and a friend) and a SMN/WHM .. i've duoed as 2X BLM but we both had merits which made it was easy. With the summoner's help it was incredibly easy and another set up you can use without worries. A couple AM's followed by Stun and Sleep, Grav, bind - then rest and repeat. The smn aoe buffs blink and stoneskin and helps with ThunderIV's from ramuh. Over in 10 mins. No two hours used. I have wanted a K club just as bad as many since ive started playing this game 5 years ago. Maybe someday it'll happen but when i do i try this is the set up i will assure you ill do. This might be the easiest BCNM ive ever done.

We did this one lastnight and won, no major drops, no death (damn close).
RDM/WHM: (used Vile+1)
NIN/WAR: (used a couple hi-pots, Pear/Perk-au lait, dorado sushi, hibreath mantel, enmity+ earrings and ring).
SAM/RNG(me): (used many hi-pots, Pear/Perk-au lait, Vile/Vile+1, 7 eyedrops, I-wing, Squid sushi)

Sidewinder was doing about 400/ws, I got off about 7 or so.
Nin had a bunch of enmity+, but had a rough time keeping hate.. my fault I guess. It was our 1st time trying this, just glad we won. We finished around 9:30, so next time I'll take it slower. PLD tank would work out better on this one I think.
Will NIN work?

Thanks to Bazza & Julion for this:

RDM firsts debuffs NM.
RNG's Sharpshot>Barrage>Sidewinder when possible.
If you get hate you run like crazy.
RDM keeps casting spells to slow down mob.
Use shadowbind when necessary.
When RDM out of MP move out of range & let them Sleep/Bind it.
RDM should macro a warning to inform you of this.
RDM uses convert & heals themselves.
Recommence attk when ready.
Skillchaining should be easy since both RNG's will have the same TP & can SC Reverberation.
Sharpshot/Barrage should then come back after less than 50% NM health.
Sidewinder when you can and mob should be dead if you stick to the cycle.

Try to keep on opposite sides of the room as NM's ink move will hit anyone in the way and saves RDM time in healing & MP. When NM low on health it spams Aeroga spells. Keep shadows up at all times & only use Eagle Eye Shot when absolutely necessary. Meaning don't waste it unless you know you can't do it without it. We didn't use it until the last person used their orb this was because NM spammed Aeroga spells which killed RNG & started attking RDM. By this time I had Sidewinder used that then EES then Sidewinder which scored a victory. Last fight we had was the 1st death we encountered.

RDM + BLM duo
# Aug 24 2007 at 6:59 PM Rating: Default
I saw this post in the RDM forums and this is my strat for doing this cakewalk BCNM.. It's a duo, RDM/BLM and BLM/RDM.. Talk about an exciting time.. The reason I decided to go through 200+ seals on this was because my bro is 75 blm, I'm 75 rdm so we never needed to find anyone else to do this.. Our 1st run wasn't so good, I built the resist rate of sleep up really bad by sleep I, then waiting 30 seconds and sleep IIing it so my bro could rest between nukes.. Bad idea..

This is our strat pretty much.. RDM/BLM, BLM/RDM, then invite a friend who has seals if you want to.. My bro and I run up, he starts casting burst (HQ Thunder Staff) then he tells me when he's at 45% or so.. Then I start casting thunder 2.. I don't even bother graving him yet.. Our spells go off at same time or a little staggered, I usually land 1st.. My bro then runs back while I cast sleep II on him.. As soon as it's landed, he rests up, we usually go at when he's at like 600+ mp.. The entire time I'm keeping refresh up.. while he's resting, I cast gravity and my bro gets in position to nuke again.. Same thing as before.. Burst and Thunder II.. Takes off roughly 13% if both are unresisted.. This time I bind him right after cast while my bro rests up again.. when he unbinds, I stick sleep II on him cause my bro needs some extra time to rest up.. As soon as he's at 600, we got about 8-10 minutes left, we throw out another set of nukes, he runs back to entrance, I sleep the kraken, reapply refresh and gravity and such.. Usually have about 300-400 mp at this point, again, 8-10 minutes, and he's at about 65% hp.. We get ready to nuke again, as soon as they land, my bro sometimes takes a hit or two from the kraken while I sleep him, it never kills him.. He run up the hill and rests while I stick around kraken and try to figure out when it's time to nuke again.. Hes usually at 47% by now, bro's mp is around 400, rests to 600 again, we got around 6-7 minutes left.. My mp on the other hand s almost out, I have enough for sleep II and the nuke.. We do that, kraken drops to 32-34% and then I convert, refresh up, gravity, etc.. my bro wait for 500 mp again, which usually puts us at the 5 minutes mark.. 4 minutes remain after we send out the next wave of nukes.. he's sitting at 17% though.. This is a cake walk from here.. We have about 4 minutes left at this point, my bro runs back, rests, I don't even bother with my refresh, I give him a new refresh, I have like 500-600 mp.. he rests to 550 this time, taking us down to 2 minutes left, but Fe'e is usually in the center with us, if not almost there.. We sent out the next volley of nukes, I cast drain after, he casts drain, chest pops, we open immediately.. 8/9, 0/9 on kraken club.. We usually finish with anywhere between :30 seconds, to 3 minutes remaining.. It's all dependant on if our spells get resisted.. Even with 2 resists, we can still kill him without using 2 hours.. If they are 2 mega resists from burst though, we call it at that..

So yea, bring anyone who wants to come in the 3rd spot.. I think DRK or SMN would add the most damage bringing you're 14 minutes clear down to 10 just by casting drain or helping with spike dmg from meteorite or thunder IV.. THF would be ok for SATA, but would need /sam to get TP, WS is the only way a DD can help when its done Manaburn style.. PLD or NIN to kite and relieve the rdm of some of the stress would be ok, but they wont be bringing that much dmg to the table..

All in all, it's definately a fun duo, I'm planning on just switching to RDM/BLM, BLM/RDM x2 when I get my other account up to 60 RDM.. That'll make for some interesting times, the kraken will also go down much faster that way..

Good luck on Kraken Club, it's like another poster said, the drop's either "the sh*t" or "complete sh*t".. And here's a little word of advice.. The Oxblood is worth 13k+ to the vendor, check the AH, it might just be easier to NPC it.. Made 200k or so vendoring crap from that BCNM on 3 runs..
No luck yet.

I've done this BCNM 12 times now. I'm 11/12 on the run and 0/12 on the club. Only 5 of those runs were on my seals. The last run I dc'ed mid way which killed me >.> My set up all 12 runs is rdm/blm blm/whm pld/war. As rdm I stand in the center and gravity, bio2, nuke, refresh, dispel, and bind when pld need to heal. I rarely take any damage as I keep barwater up but if I do get hit drain is highly effective. The pld just kites FE'E in a circle and the blm usually nukes from the circle entrance. The runs are very smooth and we usually finish in 7 to 8 minutes.

I static my PLD with a DRG and a BLM full time; and we're always looking for different BCNMs to do for gil. After hitting 60 we decided to give this one a whirl. Our setup was PLD/WAR, DRG/SAM, BLM/RDM.

First run:
Enter BCNM, we all eat food, DRG meditates, I buff myself and DRG (for AoE), pop a drink and we go in (first mistake was not resting full, I'll get to why). Once in range, BLM casts ES + Freeze, when lands I used cover + flash + provoke + invincible (mistake #2). I hadn't rested full since I wouldn't need MP early on due to invincible, thus the refresh would cover me. BLM rested while my 2 hour was on, then I pulled the mob away from the BLM. Fight was smooth, but near the end it began spamming AoE maelstrom (where it spins around). My PLD instincts had me curing the DRG (mistake #3) and the next think I knew I was out of MP. The BLM began nuking and took it out just after I died. We got nothing of interest.

Second run:
New plan; win without the death! ;p
Entered the BCNM, ate food, DRG meditates, I buff myself and DRG, pop a drink and rest full, then we go in. ES + Freeze from BLM at start, I use cover + flash + provoke + sentinal but not invincible. By the time cover wore off I had hate back and moved the mob away from the BLM while she rested. With my drinks and the elixer I saved from the previous run she was able to rest full. Another change was that we brought hi-pots for the DRG to cover AoE damage. With the NM at about 30% health I popped invincible while the BLM went to town. Dead mob, easy win, but still no club. Another group who was there when we exited reported they had just gotten their second club from the BCNM, I guess they beat us to it. >.<

A few motes:
- The Bibiki Seashell intimidated the mob once in two runs
- I still seemed to take damage while invincible was active from NM's TP move
- Freeze + WS from DRG at start easily removed 2 tentacles right away
- DRG is a nice DD to have for this fight because they can shed hate with super jump (the DRG seemed to get hate once per fight near the end)
BST friendly, sure is

I beat this 2/3 times w. pld/blm/rdm setup.

First time we ran outta time since we tried to straight tank it. In all honesty this was very hard on mp, and blm was cureing me more often then he was nuking the squid.

Next two runs went well. I (pld) kited him around the circle w. rdm gravitying him while blm slowly nuked it to death. This method is time consuming, but effective. He is fairly easy to kite. Voke and flash were more than sufficient to keep hate. pld/nin might even be able to kite it and maintain hate, thus nullifying some dmg taken and that means more nuking capacity.

0/2 btw. didnt expect to see a klub, but figured id try the bc.

Horrible run.

Me & bf decide we want to do this BCNM. Noticed you could duo this with mage jobs, so went BLM & RDM. 1st run total disaster, within the 1st minute, completely resisted sleep & gravity... Nuked it and his me down to about 50 HP, wondering whether or not to set up RR or try to sleep II it. I ask him and he shouts "SLEEP!", so I start casting. BAM, dead.

Next run, I don't even bother because I suck & hate BLM & let him duel box. Has to use his own character (was using a friends RDM who had no gear (I wonder why he resisted >_>) and he kites it around using sleep, bind & gravity with about 2-3 resists the whole fight. Gets it down to about 10% and starts chainspell while BLM dies. Kills it, chest pops.... OUT OF TIME.

lolololol. Total waste of 120 seals, woo ho! At least the first 60 weren't even ours >_> lol.

So much for Kraken club... Maybe one day... My DRK would really enjoy it...
