Battle Notes

To enter this ENM, you must first be on or past Chains of Promathia Mission 3-5, Darkness Named. To obtain the key item for this fight, you must trade a Florid Stone (Rare/Exclusive) to Ghebi Damomohe at the Tenshodo front desk in Lower Jeuno. If you have not traded her a colored chip for CoP 3-5, you cannot trade her the stone. Florid Stones drop off Diremite monsters in Pso'Xja. Ghebi Damomohe will give you a key item: Astral Covenant that will allow you to enter the ENM. All of your party or alliance must have the key item to enter the fight.

Make your way to The Shrouded Maw. This is a level 40 capped fight. Up to 18 people can enter the ENM at once, but there will be a cut in the experience points awarded for any group over 6 people. Your Astral Covenant will tear upon entering the fight, so if you wish to do this fight again, you will have to farm Florid Stones again. (You can use this fight to familiarize your PT to the floor tiles in the room that you must stand on during the Diablos fight here.)

You will have to fight a Diremite named Pasuk. Pasuk uses all the standard Diremite attacks, including the spinning, AoE attack that resets hate. Upon winning, you will receive 3000 EXP (less for alliance) and a Treasure Box.

Duo this and win as 2 bst
# Aug 04 2007 at 12:34 PM Rating: Decent
I did this alot for 3k exp. It is too easy. Duo it with me bst 40 and my friend bst 40. When we inside we call pet asap then we wait 1/2 minutes when call pet about to recharge. Two pets attack while 2 bst run far away from AOE and to buy us time to call pets again. Whoever pet die it is call back again. At first we not sure that we will win so we did CC pet call. Two CC attack it and we win around 10 minutes, no pets die.

From that on we did other pet beside CC and we win too. We never lost a fight to this ENM. This is a easy exp. I think a party of bst or smn can win this ENM. The key is let pets tank and die then call it back again.
does evenyone need the key item?

All members of the party must have the key item and this will apply to other ENMs of this kind.
Just finished this...

This was, quite possibly, the easiest thing I have ever done as my 40 Ninja (Other than Chain #2 in CN solo, but that's another story!).

Went in as: NIN/WAR, WAR/NIN, DRK/WAR and WHM/BLM.

I had asked the warrior to provoke at the start to let me get debuffs off, but that wasn't such a bright idea after all. It took all my debuffs (Jubaku, Hojo and Kurayami) and two :Ni nukes to get hate planted on me. And even throughout the fight, it kept switching between me and the war.

Dark Knight had awesomely timed Stuns, and tanked near the end. Our white mage was always on top of debuffs and curing. Jubaku Landed, Hojo did but Kurayami didn't. But even so, I only got hit near the end when I casted Utsusemi: Ni and got stuck with a minute on my timer due to a misplaced Slow TP-move.

Made 3000 experience points, putting the Dark Knight at 32k into his level, me and the war at <1000 tnl and the white mage a level up. In three days, we're going to do this again but as: THF/NIN WAR/NIN NIN/WAR and WHM/BLM. I'd sub warrior, but that AoE did about 200 to us, so I'll pass. I'll let you know how it goes.
Not too tough

Today, I along with five others decided to give this enm a try. We were rng (me), blm, whm, nin, drk and rdm. We mostly did this because we were all near leveling so yeah, quick 3k exp sounded nice.

We went in, buffed up with shadows, protect and shell and we went in. The nin went first, and blink tanked it, while the drk and I started laying into it. The whm kept everyone alive until about near the end when the drk died. From here I just barraged, then Piercing Arrow for the win.

A basic party setup can take this down, only thing is the tank should preferably be a ninja, as the mob drains tp every hit. We all got 3k exp (which lvled me up, w00t), and a quick belt (which is only 10k on kujata) which we just free lotted on. Good luck to anyone doing this!

Easy

Just killed with 4 people, took 11 minutes, was extremely easy, I got hit once the entire time.

Setup:
NIN/WAR (me)
WHM/BLM
BLM/WHM
BLM/WHM

4 of us had passes leftover from Diabolos farming, so we decided to give it a shot. He has terrible ACC and if you keep Blind, Slow, Paralyze up, you can almost tank him with Ni.

NIN is highly recommended due to his terrible ACC and that each hit he connects with drains TP. Aero seemed to hit for some nice damage, avoid Stone. He has an AOE Slow move, but any competent WHM can handle it.

Only got a Geist Earring which is 320k on Sylph. Nice bonus for something we expected to totally wipe in :D

Setup
BLM/WHM, RDM/BLM, WHM/BLM, NIN/WAR, THF/NIN, RNG/NIN

Things to Remember
- Blink tank is recommended in this fight as the ENM will drain HP, MP, TP and buffs through normal attacks. Avoid getting hit at all costs.
- Spinning Top (or whatever the attack is called) resets hate for all players who get hit (including if only your shadows get hit). That means that a RNG sitting outside AoE range pretty much becomes the tank after that attack. Have shadowbind ready just in case.

Question: What PM must you have cleared to be allowed access to this ENM?

Should be on PM3-5. The Diabolos fight. Then this ENM can be accessed at the BCNM Arena as well.
Why 18 max people?

This battle has a limit of 18 people allowed in for battle with the XP reward upon winning reduced if you have 7 or more people.

After getting our butts kicked doing Diabolos twice before this ENM, we were kinda leary, especially when we read the 18 person max message upon entering the "Circle".

After the fight (very easy by the way, never went into even yellow once), we all said that unless you had butterknives, there was a pretty good chance that any average pt could beat it.

p.s. Still a no go on Diabolos, although we got him down to maybe 10-15% on the last fight. I think if we had had a RDM we could have won.

Got the earing, gave to the whm. Seemed kinda fair as he bought Erase just for the Diabolos fight. Oh and the 3k xp more than made up for the deaths that night.

We are gonna do this ENM every Sunday from now on as this was the easiest 3k xp ever. Thank you SE.

Eh, I don't remember what PT we used to win this, but it was probably NIN<me>/RNG/SAM(RNG sub)/WHM/WHM/BLM

I tanked pretty easily, one elemental wheel and enfeebles and hate was pretty much plastered on me for the most part.

I -think- the diremite casts Drain. It also has an AoE Slow/Gravity move which overwrites Haste, so have your WHM's ready with Erase. Has a WS which is a double-attack, so be careful with shadows. It moves pretty slow though and is pretty inaccurate, only go hit 2 times in the fight. Otherwise its attacks are nothing special.

Friends said that it has some sort of hate-reset move, but I didn't see anything like it in the course of our fight.

I thought that you had to wait 5 days before doing the ENM over again.

How do you manage to do this ENM every day? I don't follow.

Aldion, I firmly believe if you would've had at least one additional DD you'd have won this easily. It just seems from your setup that you just lacked the damage ability to kill it fast enough before it wore you down.

We went in with nin, rng, blm, blm, whm, and I don't remember the 6th (we went with 8 of us to do 3-5 and figured we'd do this while we waited for a few others so people were moved around). Anyway, it died pretty fast. So fast in fact that I only got hit one time during the entire fight, and felt stupid for wasting a persikos au lait on the fight.

However, sometimes, some groups are just luckier than others. Like having diabolos spam Nightmare on them, which didn't happen to us. I only recall one nightmare, but all the melees hit their flat blade WS so he didn't even get that off (but that's a whole other topic).

We got an earring that gave +mp and +1 mnd and gave it to one of the mages.

Yep... Our 6th was a RNG too ._.

I totally agree, if we had him in there, we would've taken him down.

My LS had decided to try this ENM out when we went to take out Diabolos.

Our party was:
WHM/BLM
BLM/WHM
RDM/BLM
NIN/WAR
PLD/WAR

Sadly, our 6th member hadn't traded in the stone in order to enter the battlefield, but we still tried it with 5.

The Mite actually -has- a TP drain on all his regular attacks. The NIN was tanking for most of the fight, I (I'm the PLD) would only voke when he had no shadows up and was starting to get badly hurt.

This monster also has a huge amount of hit points and has pretty high evasion.

He also seems to be able to teleport himself around the room, usually this happens when someone pulls hate (like the BLM) and he'll pop up right behind them.

In the end, we lost, but we had him down to about 15-20% HP, if we had our 6th, we would have definately won.

The NM's name is Pasuk, it can also drop Quick Belt, and it has an "additional effect: TP drain" status on it's normal attacks, which, like other "additional effect" stats, doesn't activate all the time. To get this ENM battle, you need to trade a Florid Stone, obtained from some Diremites in Pso'Xja, to Ghebi Damomohe, the Mithra npc inside the front door of the Tenshodo in Lower Jeuno.

(note: I sent this to the send a correction link, but i'm uncertain if it went through, as I received an error message about too many spaces in the subject, yet Outlook shows it as successfully sent)
