In-Game TextDescriptionSteps needed: 1) Get the quest from Mihgo. If you have to clear any quest first, it'd be Mihgo's Amigo. Mission status doesn't seem to affect the quest, but it'd be best to do part of this during Mission 2-3, since you're up in Bastok anyway. 2) Head to the Bastok Markets. Talk to Ardea, trade her the stone for 10g. 3) Go back to Windurst. Give the 10g back to Mihgo. 4) Talk to Varun. 5) Head back to the Bastok region and into Palborough, 3rd floor, east half of I9. It's a round dead-end room with two mithril seams. I picked up my Sharp Stone on the west seam, several others have reported the west seam, so try that one first. 6) Mine up the Sharp Stone. Rare/Ex item. It'll list in your inventory. 7) Go back to Windurst again. 8) Trade the item to Varun to complete. I only did the necklace quest twice, but I'm a Tensodo member...
I have found 2 sets of mythril seams in Palborough. Two on the first floor near the elevator and 2 in 2 different rooms on the 2nd floor. Tried mining at the mythril seam on 2nd floor, all I got was mine gravel. Gonna try 1st floor now..
Has anyone mined the sharp grey stone before they talked to varun? I think that may be the problem, may have to talk to varun first to be able to mine the grey stone from the seam.
Ack, okay I got my sharpstone on the 3rd floor of Palborough. It was that isolated room in I-9 on the 3rd floor. @_@

When I enter the mine I went north a little and then east and the map changed - in the middle was the refiner - staying on the same map was (I-9) that had a mithral steam and across form it a room with the same thing.
I went to the next map and at (I-9 again) are some boats...
I then went back and dropped down to the first map and went east again. Here I found an elevator (I-9 again) and a mine point as well as a mithral stream. Got copper ore from the mine point and again mine gravel from the seam. If I go up the elevator I find that it takes me back to where the boats are...
Does someone have a screenshot of where this mine point is. I've been to 3 maps and 3 (I-9) locations and am getting nothign but sand and wasting a lot of gil and time.

That map helped me out a lot, I found the sharp stone on my first try in that spot in the map

To get the share stone, you need to Mine from the Mythril Seam at I-9.
has anyone tried not selling it?
you know she says not ot sell it if it's worthless... does the quest still progress if you don't?
Cause i've gone threw quite a few pick axes and all i'm getting is the gravel, which can be made into sand. Less varun accepts this stuff from the mission quest to... i don't think supposed to sell it.
But i've been mining awhile at the normal spots to, and beyond a myhtral ore i'm not getting anything. No "sharp rock" the lady you sold it to says some guild member used it in a craft? perhaps your supposed to hunt him down. Or maybe you have to hand him a mythril ore.

2) Take stone to Ardea and sell it for 10gil
3) Talk to Nanaa
4) Talk to Varun

Are you guys mining at the mythril seams spots? Near the end of the place where boat back is. There are two rooms with walls marked Mythril seams.
There is also a regular mining piont..
But ya this quest sucks... if you pay for transport to and from bastok twice your really not getting anything.

Hi, whenever I talk to Nanaa she tells me to get out of her sight because she can't stand to look at me... is this because of finishing Mission 4 and thwarting her attempt to jack all my equipment?

My Sharp Grey Stone disappeared from my inventory when I logged last night. I left it in the mog house and it wasn't there this morning. What should I do? :(

Varun is behind the Manustery by the Home Point. The exact location is H-9. He will tell you that he lost a sharp stone that he found with traces of mythril.

*supposedly*, the mining spot for this quest is at I-9 on the second floor of Palborough mines. to get there, go to the elevator at I-8, then (once on the second floor), go to the eastern I-9 area (two parts of the mine maze dip into I-9.. you want the more eastern part.. you'll see what i mean if you check the map). this is also the spot you mine for windhurst's mission 6 (if you do bastok first).
i say "supposedly" because when i tried to head to I-9, i was viciously croaked by the seven Quadavs completely blocking the hallway.. and i was lvl 21 with two lvl 20 friends. *_* so i've not completed it yet, but there's the tip i was given. if you try it, prepare to be ultra-sneaky.. and don't go without a map in case you've got to attempt escape.

Well, from my own experiences, this quest isn't gonna be a pay-off. 2100g sounds good, but so far I've gone through 2 STACKS of picks and, as yet, have not gotten the stone I need. At 208 per pick, I've spent MORE on picks than I'm gonna get from the quest.

I agree. They need to add the Coordinates in the Temple as to where the NPC is located, like J3 in this care. Put a Coordinate field in your templet. We also need to know the location of the other people that need to be met. Thanks

How do I get to the mines from either east or west sab? Can I go there for this quest at lvl 5?
Nanaa Mihgo J 3, Windhurst Woods (to the far north of Map, basically)
She did the making friends quest for me. Does she give this one AFTER that? I should have talked to her again, I guess.
She should explain where the rest of the people are, I'd assume.
Could this information be any less helpful? Come on people, start posting at least a few details like where the quest NPCs are located or something.
