In-Game TextDescriptionSpeak to Salim for a cutscene where he will talk about a Monk who is loitering in the chapel (basement of the Metalworks). He will ask you to get rid of the loiterer. Head to the little chapel (down the stairs between the elevators), and examine the ???. You will get a fun little cutscene. Luto will let you choose one key item out of a possible seven. You will then need to speak to various NPCs in the Metalworks to get the order of switches to activate (there will be eight). This order will change every time you try the quest. The NPCs will give you cryptic comments like "the first and third are the same", and you will have to recreate the correct order to activate the switches. Guards will be present when you first touch the switches, and you will have a choice of actions. The guard's comments/reactions will dictate which choice you select. If the guard says something about wanting to get off work to go for a drink or two or three, let Milendo the Tarutaru deal with him. If the guard comments that he can hardly wait to get his hands on the thieves, let Luto the Mithra do her thing. If the guard is the main guard accompanied by a Tarutaru, use the item you chose from the Luto earlier during the cutscene. If it is the main guard unaccomanied by a Tarutaru, choose to "say something clever" and that you are waiting for friends. IF you should get caught, one of your team will go to Salim's prison. You need to speak to Fergus in the Craftsmen's Eatery, and then speak to Folzen to retrieve your captured member. If you do get caught, you must start from the first switch again. You can only fail once. If you get caught a second time, you must start over from the beginning - speak to Salim and get the cutscene again, then speak to all the NPCs for the new order of switches to deactivate. I chose the Lucky Charm and was rewarded with a short cutscene and the charm was transformed into a Key Ring Belt, a level 20 THF-only rare/exclusive belt that dispenses 5 skeleton keys, but also has defense attributes and adds "+1 to Steal".
