I've been trying for a long LONG time to get enough fame in order to begin this peticular quest. I've done the Selbina quest 32 times and I've completed 11 San'Doria quests, however despite my efforts I cannot get Mr. Novelmauge to let me begin the quest. So far he only gives some useless information about the Dragoon quest. So my question is can anyone tell me how close I am to having enough Fame?

Where and who the hell is this person?

Here is a tip for you get the enough fame easy,
who conquest aragoneu, is a npc in the city what sell milloncorns to 500 stack, buy all you can and trade all to a guy close to sheeps in selbina, it give you 480gil back and fame! ^_^
today i do that and i win 150k :) if you want know what npcs are tell me :)

Hi ok i have done this quest 3 times now and got it all 3 times there seem to be a mix up of how you get this quest so here is how i did it.First you need rank 3 if you are not from sandy if your from sandy then you only need rank 2 fame has to be about 3 but in saying that on one of my charac i didnt do a lot of fame building.Then the rest is easy go to the marshes kill leeches for beast blood or buy from ah the trade to the npc.Most of the quest is as above except as i stated you have to be rank 3 if your not from sandy rank 2 if you are i hope this helps and good luck

Im from Windurst and completed the quest last night. I had to actually start the 2-3 "Three Kingdom" mission, and what i mean by start was going to Heaven's Tower in Windurst Walls and getting the instructions. Then headed out the Sandy to speak to the guy in the Windurstian Consulate who tells you to go the castle. That's what opens the door for you. I also completed a bunch of quests to build my fame to lvl 3. Repeated the bat wing and rabbit skin one a bunch of times. Buy the rabbit skins from the Tanners Guild, much cheaper than AH.

I got really frustrated previously since i kept getting denied from the castle and i just could not figure it out. I know in the instructions it says that you have to "start" the 2-3 mission, which is different from "accepting" it. So i decided to go back to Windy and actually "start" the mission by talking to the required NPC's. And that's all it took!!!. Now i am stuck in the middle of the 2-3 Mission searching for a party to start in Sandy. Please post back if you want to participate. Or look for me online as Villain.

i did this a while back and it was a cake walk. i just bought the blood at the AH to save myself the trouble of going all the way Pashow Marshlands. went to Bostaunieux Oubliette and traded the blood to Novalmauge, then i got the scroll. simple as that!

im a lvl 8 dark knight just got it yesterday so i will need drain in a few more lvls so when i do this quest i DONT have to actually enter the area where lvl 50-70 can get aggro or even where theres monsters? just got to find an NPC in the first area?

o and drain goes for 80-100k on pandemonium server so im seriously not gonna buy it

I am smitzing like crazy trying to figure out what that dude says to you when u have ? lvl fame... anyone know? can u make a list >.<

Lvl 1 fame: Bla bal
Lvl 2 fame: Bla bal
Lvl 3 fame: ah ive heard your name before.
Lvl 4 fame: time to die

Ok, detailed requirements for, and walkthrough of, the quest for Drain.
Requirement 1: If you are a San d'Orian resident, you must be Rank 2. If you are a foreigner, you must be on or past Mission 2-3. These ranks are a requirement for entering the Chataeu d'Oraguille, the zone you must pass through to get to the dank dungeon located underneath.
Requirement 2: You must have Fame level 3 or higher. Fame level 3 is when you get told:

Once you have your rank and fame, you can proceed to get the quest. Enter the Chataeu, and go through the right hand door. Turn left, then right and proceed down the stairs.
You will zone into the Bostaunieux Oubliette at this point. To find the person I was looking for I went straight ahead, taking the first right. However he was walking, and I don't know how far he patrols. In this area there is nothing (afaik) dangerous but deeper in this is a level 50+ hunting ground.
You will get a short cutscene, and Novalmauge will ask for a Beastman Blood. It can be found on Leeches in Palshhow Marshland or you can buy it on the Auction House. It is located under Others>Beast-Made. I would recommend buying it; If you are a low level the creatures will be too tough for you, and if you are a high level I imagine you can farm the money faster than getting the drop. I found it to be slightly cheaper in Windhurst and Bastok than in San d'Oria.
Once you have the blood, you can trade it to him for the final cutscene and the scroll of Drain.

Step 3, Profit!

This quest is easy, you can make it with a lv1.
Just go to the NPC and turn back to sand'oria.
But this is not the right area to have a walk, this is for lv 50+ party leveling.

ok,you need rank 3 or be on mission 2-3 to go inside the cheateau. gyou must have level 3 fame which is when the npc says "(name) ah ive heard that name before your deeds have brought you honor" or something like that. (im referring to sandoria but i think its the same for windy and bastok
