Mission Orders

Nag'molada has descended into the depths of the palace in search of the Chamber of Eventide. Join Prishe in her pursuit of the Kuluu diplomat.

Walkthrough

Gather your party in the Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi. Check the Particle Gate at (H-8) to get a cutscene. Once that is done, check it again to pass through.

Every once in a while, you will come to a Particle Gate that will not open and this means that you must find the nearby Cermet Alcove. Touching it will spawn a Quasilium NPC that you will need to escort. It will walk along the path it has to follow and you can tell it to stop and go. You must protect it from the mobs. Zdei mobs will attack it on sight, so you'll have to kill all of those. The Ghrah mobs will only attack it when not in ball form.

The Quasilium will dock at another Cermet Alcove and open the gate. If the NPC dies, you have to backtrack and spawn another one. Should you come across a door or a ??? that asks if you would like to pass through, choose NO. Passing through will send you back to the beginning and you will have to start over. There is a time limit to each escort.

When you reach a Cermet Portal that leads to a room with another Cermet Portal, you will have reached the end. Prepare for battle and when ready, check the second Cermet Portal. An NM will spawn named Ix'Ghrah. After you kill Ix'Ghrah, make sure everyone checks the portal for a cutscene before escaping out.

The best part of Final Fantasy XI is its rich storyline. It separates this game from other MMORPGs. I chose to give my character a storyline that goes along with the game's storyline. I find that this is a more fun way to play the game. Playing the game just to fight in the endgame and collect elite equipment is very boring and is totally missing the main objective of the game, which is to guide your character through the storyline which is to save the world.
not bad at all

We had (we thought) a full party to get this done last nite, but 3 ppl didnt show. So.. 3 of us decided to just explore, see what it was like.
75Nin - 75Whm (me) - 75Bst

Took us a little over 2 hours to make our way thru, waited a lot of the Ghrahs out til they returned to ball form, but even fighting them and the Zdeis wasnt hard.
And we won O.O
We were a little stunned lol, but if you take your time it can be done.

/salutes to Guyon & Terico

Took us less than two hours with a party of 4 - nin, drg, rdm, smn.

I [smn] was solely in charge of moving the NPCs. Everyone else would scout ahead and make sure everything was ok. We basically killed every pot, as they would surely aggro the NPC even if they didn't aggro us. Also have to be on the ball as the Grahs like to change out of discoball form as you're running by them.

The NM was <too weak> even for our 4 person party. It uses elemental magic according to the day just like Disaster Idol, so expect -ga IIIs and Sleepga II if it's darksday. We decided not to wait and attacked on Ice Day. Having no real stunner, I summoned Ramuh before the fight and sure enough, it tried to Blizzaga III right at the start - Chaos Strike sorted that, and we took it down quickly from there. It used perfect dodge, but I hear it can use different 2hrs. Good luck!
boring but easy

I hate this mission. It took us 4 hours to get through.
Party Setup: Nin, Nin, Rdm, Smn, Blm, Blm

You will have to make your way up the tower.
There will be several Particle Gates that you can't open.
You would have to talk to the Quasilium , and he will begin to move towards the door.
If the Quasilium is killed, you would have to run back and summon him again.
Once the Quasilium gets close to the Gate it will open.
Once the Gate closes, it can only be open from the inside.
So make sure everyone in your party gets through.

Our strategy was just run through and Sleep everything.
There are times where, some will resist, so you have to make it to the Portal as fast as possible.
There will be a few Portals and takes you up, and you will also lose agro once teleported.

My recommended Party Setup: Nin, Brd, Rdm, Rdm, Blm, Blm
Need a lot of sleepers.
If you have Rdm + Brd, then your mages won't have to rest MP.

The NM is {Too Weak}
