Description

Adventurer! Adventurer! The Sunbreeze Festival is here, kupo! What is the Sunbreeze Festival, you ask? Well, I guess if you knew, you'd already be in Vana'diel, kupo. Alright!

Listen! Do you hear that? Those are the sweet sounds of the Sunbreeze Shuffle, a traditional dance piece from the Far East, kupo. It's said that when that tune starts, there isn't a soul who cannot keep his feet from dancing a merry jig. Just ask the Rakapopo dancers grooving all about the three nations, kupo!

Oooh! And what about the booms echoing in the night sky? The dazzling patterns created by the magic of light? Why, that would be the fireworks displays, put on by the nations' greatest alchemists, kupo. Every night, after dusk, watch as the heavens bloom in a thousand colors! It's enough to make even the hardest hearts soften.

What is that? Song, dance, and dazzling pyrotechnics aren't enough to get you in the mood for summer? Well then, what about scooping goldfish? Nothing is better to beat the heat than extirpating miniature aquans from hydrogen/oxygen-based pools all across Vana'diel, kupo!

Eh? The heat is still too much to bear, then how about a few chills to cool that spine of yours? If it's hair-raising excitement you're searching for, then you need look no further than the moogles' infamous "test of courage."

Grab a friend and hold her hand tight as you delve into some of the creepiest, crawliest dungeons in all of Vana'diel to retrieve a hidden relic and escape...alive!

This year's event is so frightening that there were several instances of moogles making early exits during the MHMU test runs! Oh, but we're sure you'll have nooo problem making it through, so why not sign up for the ride of your life...to hell! Mwahahahaha, kupo!

Now take off that heavy, sweaty, blood-stained armor, change into your yukata, and have some fun!

When?

The festivities begin at 1:00 am on Thursday, July 26 and will last until 1:00 am on Monday, August 20. The Moogles' test of courage will begin at 1:00 am on Saturday, August 1 and will last until 1:00 am on Monday, August 20.

Leave it to SE to f*** something up like a festival. Nothing but 3 minute food. I even had to pay 20k for my swim suit outfit and 50k for the Lord's Yukata. Umm, hello! WHere is the good prizes SE?

so when was the last time you got something other than a crappy item that was of no use except as a momento from a carnival or fair in real life? the holiday events never have and never will give uber items. the best you can hope for is a cool looking piece of equipment (ie pitchfork, yukata, pumpkin head).

Did you do the quest with a member of each race and gender? Don't know if that gets you a better reward or not, but it seems like something SE would do.

Problem with that is after doing it a few times too many people were getting discouraged at only getting food. If you read the old ones for this festival, they got the yukatas for the firsst run throughs. Only point of this festival was getting staging points and mining in places that were too dangerous otherwise.
