r u crazy advancing march depending on party can be awesome think about it i had a party of nin, thf, rng, rng, whm, and me bard this is a party well i was noticing the mobs we were fighting they werent missing a lot and when u notice this with a party that doesnt take long to attack u really dont need madrigal a miss here or there is alright this is when advancing march is better than madrigal because u want attack speed which stacked with haste my gosh its like 100 fists on these guys and like i said thf dont need dmg neither really does nin as you do the real damage with ws which will build real fast here is an example when march is better than madrigal.

Congratulations Natedude! You have just won an all expenses paid trip to the Guinnes Book of World Records Headquarters in la-la land for the worlds longest run-on sentance! Congratulations again my brother!

I had this dumb party wanting me to use double madrigal on them when fihting crabs, they hit everytime, but they wernt the melees that do major dammage, not the dragoon or dark knights in there, just thf, nin, and another ninja. I suggested that we just do evasion and a march, but they insisted >.<
march better than madrigal?? sometimes better

As a DRK/THF (i.e., quite possibly the slowest TP gainer in the game), I *still* prefer madrigal and minuete (sp?). I just don't notice the speed being significantly faster. But maybe that's just me.

Punctuation is our friend. :) (more than commas between the jobs)

Fyrewave is so wrong. March is awful to have on. Intelligent melee will want minuet and marigal. Never an etude on melee either.

gotta say there are some cases where etudes are really helpfull. If a bard is in an small camp where differentiating mage vs melee songs is nearly impossible, then etudes are your friend. I had what was a 3 blm party in crawlers nest, and due to party crowding we all just had to bunch in the secret tunnel near the door. With a war tank, I found the best thing to to was 1) ballad whole pt, 2) minne whole pt (war tank, and minne was fine for blms) 3) debuff mob with elegy and requiem 4) hit tank with vivacios Etude (leaving him with minnne 3 and vit +5 or 6, I forget how much +2 etude gives you) 5) buff rng with prelude and str etude.

etudes can be helpful, especially in any close quarters conditions.

I think that Madrigal and Minuet are fine. But I also think that the etudes are good for melee. The +Vit helps pld. Pld hits are never gonna be that great but if they can tank better then why not? Advancing March... Just isn't worth it for any job.

the difference here and the "II" songs is that you can cast this and sword mady and they stack. of cource this is almost never a good idea. most attackers want advancing march or a DEX or AGI etude.

50+ levels of bard and never knew that songs like Paeon I and Paeon II stack? (I'm sorry.)

I think he means is this just an improved version of Sword Madgrial or is it something different. It is an improved version of sword madgrial they just changed the name instead of puting a II behind it.
hmm..
