To answer a question from earlier in the thread, the "Killer" effects do not add damage. It is to my understanding that it causes an effect similar to a paralyze spell. When the Mob of the specified type attempts an attack occasionally it will say "The (Mob name) was intimidated by (Character name)". This is what I have been told to be what the "fighting edge" is from the Killer effects.

Anything insect-like I'd think would qualify.
vermin

Would probably include all insects and probably rabbit types. Beetles and dragonflies perhaps. But most likely would be the rabbits cause rodents are often considered to be vermin. But then again, technically, everything in the game is vermin. heh
Oh... those too...

Vermin also includes crawlers, which is nice because you might be leveling in Tahongri Canyon (sp) at the level you get this.
Damage Boost AND Intimidation

I'm going to assume that this works similarly to my Undead Killer ability as a PLD. It gives a small boost to damage as well as a chance to intimidate the mob, if it's hitting you. It basically works like a Paralyze, every attack by the enemy has a chance to be stopped by intimidation, and it will give the message, "The (enemy mob) is intimidated by (player)'s presence. This ONLY occurs if the mob is hitting the person with the ability, and not someone else in the PT.

Please Look the Description for this ability!!

Vermin Killer
Description: Gives you an edge when fighting vermin

I don't think it will give u any addicitional damage on this ability

but as for these others... example:
Lizard Killer
Description: Increases your damage against lizards

see the different?

Yeah, I see the difference. One is too vague, and the other is too unclear.

These descriptions are ironically nondescriptive of their respective abilities.

If that isn't a vague enough description Square gave us, I don't know what else is.

www.dictionary.com
n. pl. vermin
Various small animals or insects, such as rats or cockroaches, that are destructive, annoying, or injurious to health. Animals that prey on game, such as foxes or weasels.

A person considered loathsome or highly offensive. Such people considered as a group.

Soo this could mean just about anything, not sure why scorps were singled out here.

vermin killer's description is "Gives you an edge when fighting vermin.", doesn't say anything about more damage, and the effect of the trait causes vermin type monsters to be intimidated at random.
Wrong name

The lv 10 is actually called Vermin Killer in game. It's an increase in dmg towards scorpions and other vermin types.
