168 damage to an IT++ Goblin Gambler in the Dunes at level 14. You might wonder why I was fighting goblins way out of my range at that level, well, I didn't notice my entire party was 3+ levels above me till about an hour in.

I was level 30, partying in Yhoator Jungle last night, and everyone was winding down. We had gotten our levels and it was late, we decided to do just a few more to pad our exit back to Kazham. The party had been really, really good. We had a steady skillchain going, Wasp Sting - Red Lotus, and we were MB'ing Fire up to 4 times in a fight.

I had been MB'ing with Ifrit's Fire II, most of the time, usually for 120-150, but I read you could also MB off of their 2 hours. So, since we were winding down and the melee's had TP ready, we pulled one more and I was able to MB with Inferno for 635 points on an IT!

With a little coordination, this is a really great way to finish those chain 6's and 7's and higher with a little time to spare. On top of that, you will usually have time to get one more 2hr off before your timer expires. Good luck!

Guys, it's simple. While I haven't actually gotten Ifrit yet, what you need to do is go to Kazham (if I'm not mistaken), find a single quest that is repeatable (such as the Airship one), and repeat it until your fame is high enough to get the quest.

After you get the quest, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE LEVEL 60+!

There is someone next to the quest giver that will give you a "Mini Tuning Fork". After recieving this fork, talk to the quest giver, who will teleport you to the protocrystal. Trade the tuning fork to the crystal to get a level 20 version of the avatar to battle. Voila, easily killable.

One drawback? The fight can only be between you and the avatar, and no one else.

u can get all the avatars except fenrir at level 20 if u do it by talking to people for thee quest and u can only have carbuncle... there 2 ways to get each avatar except carbuncle and fenrir... theres some site on it but i forget. but one way is the level 20 solo it and the other is the party 60+ way

no you dont need to have 150+ quests...what you do need is alot of fame for the city or nation. You could have as little as one quest...but it would have to be a repeatable one and you will need to repeat it hell of alot. As long as you have high fame in that nation. you will get the Quest for that certain avatar offered. To help build up ur Fame.. you can do Quests and Missions. Both will do you good. Hope This helps ^_^

the only reason u hear people telling you that u need to be level 60+ is because of the Avatar. the party must be level 65+ to actually kill the Avatar...now they tell you u can be 60 cause there is a chance you can live during the battle. But you will die if u are lower than that.. Unless u have good damn luck. However. you have more chances of livin through the battle if u are a level 60 whm.. cause the WHM doesn't have to fight the Avatar only heal.. Same goes with the RDM. But it is very dangrous. Sure you can go as a level 30 or 20...but you will risk the Party of death. which can be very painfull at higher level since the EXP is very scary.

Yes, you need a lv 60+ party, but you do not need 150+ quests done. I have gotten the quest with 40 quests done at windurst, with many repeatable ones such as the crawler culler and etc.
