Ok...so if you mine.....and you just might, the hounds in the gusgen mines also use this. I died because of this crappy ailment. Couldnt rest... had almost no mp and no hp after several fights from agro. Next thing I know I am being chased and falling to the floor in a viral mess.

In the Eldieme Necropolis, there are Hell Hounds and Tomb wolves. Both of these extremely annoying mobs cast AoE Paralyze and AoE Disease almost every fight. This is actually a concern because they guard the area where you fight Liches for the Ancient Papyrus (Lv.50 break item). Our WHM had to cast Viruna on everyone with disease after every battle with these things, so any spell that could eliminate how long this lasts or eliminate it entirely is A-Ok in my books.
Virus is a separate status effect. It shows up as a skull icon like paralyze, but lasts about ten minutes. You won't be able to heal for the duration, but you take no dmg from it. This spell apparently reduces that lengthy wait period, or might even let you evade a virus entirely. The Black Wolf in Gustaberg has this attack, but it's the only one I've come across so far making this a very unimportant spell. Just get Viruna to take away virus instead.

From my understanding of it, Dia and Bio are forms of viruses. Something that does DoT as well as stat effecting. Lowering ATK, DEF, MND and so on.
So Shock and Rasp would fall under this category as well.
I'm not sure if Poison is classified as a virus. Since there's no underlying stat effect.

I beleive Virus is Bio and Poison affects. Not completely sure though

I don't think I've ever had a virus put on me...unless poison is a type of virus. Can anyone clear this up for me?
