I guess you really arnt a Bard are you? Resist songs my not be much help to you, but not all bards sub whm, plus when solo while ina tough spot, some resists can help alot. A bard is almost helpless in Ballista without songs that resist sleep or silence. Try it befor you knock it.

Resist songs are pretty worthless, in most situations but NOT all. This song (if it exists/will exist in the future) would be very good if you're fighting a NM that spams AoE paralyze attacks (for ninja and paladin = death). Throw this on with barparalyzra, and maybe you only have to paralyna the tank instead of everybody ^^; Maybe they even evade O.o

After all, exp/NM hunting parties can exist without a bard - the melee will still hit the mob, the ninja will still dodge it, etc. Often what you're doing for parties (especially NM parties/alliances that can be as big as you need them to be) is just a nice bonus =) You don't HAVE to cast minuet x2, mambo x2, etc for everyone to live.

Lol you can bet that if I'm in a party fighting a nin-type mob with 2 hour, or a bomb-spamming gob, my highest priority is not going to be the the melee's damage or the tank's evasion. Fire Carol {Yes, please}

Yeah, this situation doesn't happen very often. But bard gets a song almost every lvl... could you imagine if every one of them was useful all the time? Our parties would argue for hours about what songs we should cast on them ><;;

That being said, these spells certainly aren't very exciting. "Whoop dee doo, i just learned Fowl Aubaude." ._. /em sits in the corner and cries.

poison potions and remedies and echo drops work well too without taking up the song slot. ANd if you sub-whm, blink works nice too.

Actually he is 100% correct. Resist songs are worthless, there is always something better that you could sing instead.

If it was worthless do you think SE would add it, no. There's a reason for everything, you just have to find the reason for it.

From my experience hunting down in Quicksand Caves, some of the Anticans have the ability to silence everyone. With barsilence and the song it helped me out tremendously. I'd have to say though, besides that instance and using the Carol's for some higher level elementals they aren't very useful, so far.

It can be dug up in desert areas and you have to have reached digging level 3. If anyone has done a lot of digging on a chocobo, you will notice that the time between each dig is reduced after you dig a certain amount of times. Beginner diggers have 11 seconds between each dig, intermediate i guess have 9 seconds, and the highest lvl is 6 seconds between each dig. Its sort of like a craft but it doesnt show you the skillups, you just have to count the time to know for yourself what digging lvl you are at. Ive heard it can be dug up in West altepa and areas around the tunnels of quicksand caves.
Who cares?

Maybe none of you are Bards, but if this song existed, and I doubt it, it wouldn't matter. Resist up songs suck. They suck hard. They suck even harder since Bards sub whm and can cure most every effect they can "add a resist" to with the added bonus of not taking up a song slot.
a bit of info i hope

After (quite obsessively) talking with a few JP parties of mine, I finally established that Chocobo Hum either 1: does not, for a fact, exist, or 2: can be baught/dug up. now, the latter is a bit vague, all i got was something about goblins in Altepa (as well as the goblin trader selling in Rabao). as for Jeuno, she said it was baught in Jeuno's magic shop, though technically everything -else- from Carols to other songs is baught in Duty Free. maybe someone with some free time would take a trip to Rabao, then to Jeuno, and then go digging? I know there's a goblin trader in Jeuno too (via Goblin Gavotte). so maybe its worth looking into after all? ^_^
unmounted
# Jul 23 2004 at 1:00 PM Rating: Decent
I've seen the word "unmounted" used elsewhere on allakazham. It appears to mean that the item/ability/whatever exists in the guts of the game, but hasn't been activated (mounted) into playability.

Hey, since its a "hum", does that mean you don't use an instrument? ;P Hmm, maybe a kazoo would work.

The two instruments we BRDs really need are a kazoo and a digeridoo.
never seen it

I have never seen it however there is a auto translate for the word "Hum" so the only idea i had was to get from a bard in town or from the chocobo npcs but i have not really tryed. I would love if someone could confirm this rumor. no other uses for the word hum that i can think of but all song bases are in auto translate like madrigal and minute so only time will tell

If you look at the listing of the scroll itself, in the upper right part of the description, it will say "Submitted by: Auto-Collection". This means that a program was used to look into the coding of the game and find items and other kinds of things without ever actually finding them while playing the game. For this reason, there're items listed that ARE NOT available anywhere, or at least not yet. Basically, these are the preliminary stats of an item that is planned to be released into the game, but hasn't been yet. It is also possible that the item's stats will be changed (i.e. it may have a higher or lower level requirement, or even have a different purpose/effect altogether O_o). All in all, anything listed as having been submitted by Auto-Collection is extremely likely to be hiddeously inaccurate; it's often wrong about the name of the item by the time it's available >_<
So, to answer your question: you can't get it...yet, although it will *probably* be included in some future update (post 11/4/04).

also on mysterytour you can see a note in the coloum listing how each song is obtained.

the note says: "Un-mounting."

I've dismounted many chocos before lvl 52 and many more after 52.

My guess: it's a poorly translated way of saying you need to dig for it.

Allakhazam tends not to verify things before including them. From what I've observed, "un-mounting" on Mystery Tour essentially means "not in the game". There were a lot of other spells listed on MT that do not exist - Banish 3, Diaga 2, etc. - and all had "un-mounting" in the "where found" part. This song does not exist - at least not as of this posting.
