Say if you use it when u got crossbow on, then you switch to bow, will it stay after you change it and the ammo? cause this is making wnat to lvl my RNG once more lol

Unlimited Shot - You're next ranged attack uses NO ammo. You can use it ONCE every three minutes. This is not a weaponskill, just an active ability for rangers.
Thats it! its designed for when you use very valuable ammo, for example: Patriarch Protector's Arrow or the Gold Muskateer's Bolt.

It can also be used with items you can only ever carry 1 of like Arctic Wind. What can do some very nice damage if Throwing skill is high enough.
I guess this ability works with any type of ranged attack around but I would suggest not to use this on a boomrang...

Ok Unlimited Shot is not a bow/xbow/gun ability its an Ammo ability giving you the ability to fire the excact ammo with all its effects at a single target once. This ability Does not stack with barrage only Sharpshot. Also for clearification Barrage can not stack with Eagle Eye Shot nor any other weapon skill Since it is a Damage enhancing ability. Now Sharpshot and Unlimited Shot can stack because they are a Ranged Accuracy Enhancement Ability and Ammo Ability.

I'm a 25 rng/nin on valefor right now.... i havn't gotten barrage yet but i was wondering, can u stack barrage, unlimited shot(with an uber CP arrow/bolt) and eagle eye? i would imagine something like that could take an IT to little or no health. ^^ Please Reply

Where are all the details on this? lol! I know you can use it to shoot without wasting an arrow, but what is the re-use on this? duration? etc. I COULD just look in the book later on (at work now), but it would be good to have the info if anyone knows it to pass on to others as well.

I know that you cannot stack Barrage with WS or 2HR so I am assuming the answer is "no". I could be wrong about Unlimited stacking though. I am still several lvls from getting it. My thoughts are that these abilities work only with normal Ranged attacks. if someone knows something different, please let me know.. it would be interesting.
A ranger on my LS stacked Barrage and Eagle Eye Shot, his out put was 200+ each time to equally 1048 damage in total. Though I personally can't vouche for him since I wasn't there, but that is what he said he did and I have no reason to believe he was lying.

However, Job abilities do stack... E.g. you should always use Sharp Shot with Barrage... And every thf knows to use Sneak Attack with Trick Attack...

paired with Patriarch Protector's Arrow (windy rank 7 lvl 60 ranged accuracy +40 CP arrow) Unlimited shot makes your sidewinder actually dependable damage on xp mobs. No more waiting for 200-300 tp crap.
got my RNG to 51 last night and i can use this ability every 3 mina, does this work with like arctic wind or a morium tathlum? if it does,,that crazy mad damage every 3 mins
I just got my rng to lvl 51 last night and decided to test out unlimited shot with a pebble. And it DOES work. Now I can't wait to get to lvl 72 and use it with arctic wind =D

Does anyone know how long this effect last? It would suck if you do this, wait too long, and shoot off an expensive arrow. I'm assuming this effect stays until you make a shot. If this correct? Has anyone tested this?
this ability lasts about a minute. but I suggest pairing it with another macro. that way it is only activated for a second or so. then, set a /recast macro. I put 7 abilities in mine. that way I know how long I still need to wait for things, like unlimited shot, until you can use it again.

Yes, bastok has an equivalent of the arrow that's only worth shooting with unlimited shot, but it's a bolt. Don't whine about crossbows damnit, they rock your socks. It's EX, you only get one bolt with the CP, and it has Ranged Accuracy +10 and Ranged Attack +20.
EX doesn't mean you can't have more then one, it means you can't trade it. Rare would mean you can't have more then one.
I said you can buy one with the CP, as in one bolt per purchase.

actually, I combine this /ja with my bow WS macros. that makes my WS use no ammo (as long as my 3 minutes are up). personally, I think you should use this every 3 minutes in a fight whether you are pulling, using a WS or just shooting a regular shot. any ammo that you can save is good. ^^

This allows you to shoot 1 arrow, bolt, or bullet with out using any of your equiped ammo. You must have ammo and the coresponding type of weapon equipped for this to work (otherwise, how does the computer know that your firing a demon arrow instead of a stone arrow). it does work with Weapon Skills, and regular shots. it does not stack with Barrage. the recast time is 3 minutes.
