Shiva is not hard at all to get. All u need is about 6-7 sandy fame(not sure which but around there). Which can be easily obtained by doing the selbina quest where u can trade millioncorn or la thien cabbage u can also trade boyada moss but i heard it lowers sandy fame. Also u can use this quest to get bastok fame up. The fight isint too difficult my rdm friend 75rdm/37nin solo'd it while i nuked shiva (I was 60drk/21nin lol). All round easy fight and quite easy quest.
*Note if looking to get easy millioncorn there is an Npc in whitegate that sells it. U can also get it from some Npcs they are in sandy,bastok ro windy depending on who controls a ceratin area..(cant remeber srry xD) but u dont wanna be running from sandy to selbina so might as well get from whitegate.

i just got smn today and i was wondering what lvl can you do the party quests for the summons my friend is lvl 30 rdm and i'm 36whm will that be good enough to beat it or will i need another person

i have over 13 quests done in san d oria and i have no fame. i even did a lot of the side quests and i spoke to the fame guy and he still never heard of me before.

You need lvl 6 fame to do all avatars (65+), which in Sand'oria means that the fame guy has to tell you something about "remembering when you were just a new recruit". Also, some GOOD advice a fellow summoner gave me: Dont do the Mini Fork Battles (LVL 20 Solo). This way you never lose the privilege of Teleporting to the corresponding ProtoCrystal. Since you'll be doing each avatar at least 3 times in a Summoner's carreer, it comes in handy.

I just got smn this evening, and was wondering about going after a couple avantars. IF i get some high lvl buddies to help me, do I still need the fame to go into the fight, or do I still need the fame with a couple high lvl friends? Thank you in advance.

you need about lvl 7 fame thats about 250 necklaces or 105 zinc ores + the utsusemi and tonko quest should do it

One day i started lvling on my smn and i raised it 13 lvls in 2 days. I raised my summoning magic skill and fought titan...died with him at more than half health. So i waited for my 2hr to become avaible again and my ls told me i should try shiva so i did. I had a lvl 61 smn friend cast protect ll, shell and stoneskin(titan's bloodpact). I started it like i did titan yagudo drink then casted aquaveil and i ran up there until i could see shiva and started to cast carby. i felt good about this i thought i could win for sure...until shiva killed carby with one hit, 236dmg, no not her 2hr, just a normal hit. she ran after me and hit me for 386dmg...im dead. i scrolled back up and figured out that i didnt do the capped off fight i did the actual prime fight at lvl 20 not good. for any one of you decides to fight an avatar make sure that you trade the mini fork and not just check it, like i did. take my advice if you do just check it and you have the normal fork, YOU WILL DIE,FAST!
So try not to screw up like i did, i feel very stupid now.

I can't seem to finish her off. I've tried atleast 6 times. I know sometimes it takes that long and sometimes it doesn't but I'm starting to wonder where I'm going wrong. i'm using the items listed in these forums and can't get her. Yes this is my first avatar i'm going after. I'm thinking of switching my sub to PLD since it adds 10 more defense points to my character. and 1 more attack point...

Yes, you probably will die often. However, you lose no exp in the battlefield if you die. You will spend 6k-10k, based on protection and supplies. 6k is if you buy one Yagudo Drink, one Ether, and one HI-Potion, the bare essentials. I have beat Ifrit with this and come very close to beating Shiva and Leviathan with it. 10k is the above with another Ether and a Steamed Crab. It almost guarantees me a win every time. However, this is a lot of gil to come by (at least for me, 34 whm >.<). You do whatever you want, but yes, it is hard to fight it and chances are you will die a lot, but unless you want to spend the long hours getting level 7-8 fame and getting a party to kill a level 75+ prime avatar (very hard indeed), then I'd stick with the level 20 version. Hope this helps!

YOU CAN by asking a friend or LS member above 65 to help you and if you dont have more then one friend you will at least need a 75bst to take down fenrir
