I swear some people that post haven't even done any real testing...

Fact: Azure Lore does NOT guarentee to learn the spell, have tried on many occasions.

Fact: It is NOT like an Elemental Seal... your spell may still fail.

Azure Lore does EXACTLY what it says it does... "Enhances the effect of blue magic spells."

Now focus with me... Enhances the Effect

Drain Kiss - Will drain more (as an example)

There is no hidden features of this spell, and I hope this post helps people like me, who came to this site looking for some magic answer to what it really does. But in the end I tested it for myself only to find, yes, it does suck as a 2-hour, but who cares, we're BLU, we already rock.

not a 30 sec ES

azure lore does seem to make some spells stronger, but it does not work as a 30 sec elemental seal. sometimes when i'm about to end a pty, i activate my 2hr. once i tried a fusion skillchain with Body slam and a self-destruct as the MB, so i activate chain affinity, burst affinity and azure lore, do my skilchain, and both Body slam and the self destruct got completely resisted, that was on a VT crawler... same thing happened with 1000 needles, wanted to do a little show down at the end of a party for someone who wanted to see 1000needles, so this silly taru activated azure lore and started casting 1000 needles. "the spell fails to activate": goodbye 2hr, goodbye 350mp. -.-

on the other side, i did have a 700+ death scissors with azure lore on a keyhunt in beaudaux, but the quadav was only tough. that was with /nin, so no sneak attack .
No nerf plz

i dont really care if our 2-hour sucks. you dont need one if you can do as much dmg as we can
And i swear if anyone complains to SE about our 2hour and gets us nerfed just to have an ability which wont save you if you needed it i will stab them with a spork

Two Hour Secrect Effect
# Aug 11 2006 at 10:20 PM Rating: Decent
I was reading around in here and found someone say that they have gotten blue magic thats with in there level if they used there two hour at the time or after a mob used a spell we can learn. I had a 2/2 rate so far, at this time I have a 1/1 rate, I plan to go back online a few more times and try it out 2 more times, that should be enough to say a true yes or no, i'm just writeing this right now to psych any who read this and maby try it them selfs before I post again in about 4 hours. But yeah i'll have my report back in 4 hours, if anyone else has had this happen to them post it please cuz this hiden effect if it is true and so far is for me, then two hour just became a lot better ^^. also I have found I can gain a spell at lest 8 levels ahead of my level. well hope you all have good luck with the two hour as well.

!!!Update!!! Well I used the blue two hour after the mobs had used there skills, and didnt learn them, but with the goblin I used it before it used the move, maby ya have to use it ahead of time or it does not do what I thought it does =/

!!!Uodate again >.>!!! Ok the two hour does give 100% chance to learn spells if you have good timeing. you need to use two hour before they use or finish there abillity for the 100% learn, if you use it after it's the normal rate then. So yeah secrect effect is 100% learn if monster uses spell during it's time that it's up. best used on monsters with abilltys that charge before use. like goblins gigas and BOMBS!!! ^^

Please disregard this guy. Azure Lore does NOT make learning a Blu spell 100%.
Actually works
# Jun 28 2006 at 11:49 AM Rating: Default
I found that this ability works nice. The fact it only works for 30 seconds tops (it goes so fast i'd be surprised if it wasn't less) sucks! I've notice it does two things ...

1. Removes family limits. MP drainkiss that would normally do 8MP from a crab now does 140MP.

2. "lowers" resistance of spells. It doesn't remove it as it seems to for family traits, but it does lower it drastically as that your dmg increases alot. Low levels you dont notice it much because you dont have access to single hit attacks that do nice dmg.

I still think it sucks lol we need something that lasts longer.

Basically, it makes the next spell cast 100% acurate...so basically it's just like BLM 15 minute....

Well let's assume that SE actually reads this stuff (I wish).
Any suggestions on what Azure Lore SHOULD do.
Quick example:
Maybe a better version of 1000 Needles as the 2hr instead of a 355 mp cost or whatever it is spell.
Maybe automatically learn the spell of a mob if you're within the lvl range (but that would be useless after you've learned everything)
Higher magic accuracy and damage wouldn't be so bad if it didn't last only 30 seconds. Maybe 1 minute?
Maybe automatic 100TP for a self skillchain, but that might be too similar to Samurai.

Any more ideas?

I heard a rumor on kujata that it just increase's the blue magic skill to the cap at what ever level you are which is pretty damn stupid... cause more blu already keep there blue magic skill caped any ways.

Well its is JUST a rumor, idk if its true or not

From what I understand, it allows your BLU Magic abilities (mag and phys) to hit as if you had 300TP for it's duration.
What does it do?
# Jun 11 2006 at 3:23 PM Rating: Default
I need to explain something to your people. Azure Lore does not increase the chance for you to learn a spell. It does not increase magic accuracy. It makes all you Blue Magic for the next 30 (?) seconds be unresistable. Meaning, if you hit, it will do maximum damage. Think of it like a super Elemental Seal.
What does it do?

well, all i can say is i tried azure lore to learn a spell, and so far i'm 3/3 on learning blooddrain bludgeon and claw cyclone.
all i do is bring the mob to 5% as soon as i can and just wait until he uses a TP-move, if i need the move, i activate my 2hr and kill it as soon as possible.
maybe the 2hr isn't 100%learning but i asume it increases it a lot.

at lvl 20 i only use my 2hr for learning spells.

hope this helped some of you out there.

What does it do?

As has been previously pointed out, either here or on the job forum, it wouldn't make much sense for Azure Lore to increase chance of learning the ability, now would it. After all, what good does that do the 75blu who's learned 'em all?

With the 2 comments in bold I want to add that Elemental Seal IS Magical Accuracy. I do see what you're trying to say. But if you're going to explain something to us people. Don't say it's not one thing, and then use a simile to suggest it is the same.

I'm not one of those People that let their 2 hour sit there unused for days on end. When it's up and I'm about to level I use it. In my experience it really doesn't do much for damage, it's main attribute is Magic Accuracy Up. I don't think I've missed a spell yet with the lil SP up there. As for high cost\yeild spells I think it's a must. Can't be missing those 1000 Needles now :P

I've missed several spells when it was active, no more than normal, and seemingly no less than normal.

Does Azure Lore become more useful at higher levels? My BLU is only lvl 10 right now. And I havent noticed any difference in my Blue Magic spells when my 2 hour is popped. Maybe my blue magic skill is too low for it to make a difference.... Its around 24 (not close to cap) Either way Im feeling that BLU's 2 hour is pretty weak. The duration is way to short to turn the tide in a battle thats going the wrong way.
