I use it all the time for links, even if we have a brd or Rdm. With a near capped summoning skill it works 85% of the time.

*EDIT* Also it will not overwrite sleep., but Sleep can overwrite it.

My SMN is only 26, But i did get Diabolos from my Rdm CoP static. I am very curious how you Smn's like this ability, is the DoT noticable as one might think?

If the mobs are gradually losing HP while they're sleep, wouldn't they wake up like if they were poisoned?

Normally, yes. However, this spell is the exception to that rule.
