As a level 65 Galka WHM, I can consistently inflict around 270 unbursted damage to IT mobs with this, whereas the slightly more MP-expensive Holy only does about 160.

I love this spell im lvl 65whm in a party and magic bursting for 415... its great
Well leveling up in Gustav Goblin Alchemists (sp) do it, does around 200dmg to me (60PLD) no dosn't look like holy, but is very shiny ^^;;

Does it look as nifty as Holy? I want to see it badly myself. I have leveled my divine skill just to laugh at the damage comparison from my banish spells compared to those who are higher level than me lol. Half the time I do more damage...^^ Anyhow I was just wondering if it's animation is worthy of Holy-ness...lol ^^

With Apollos the damage is anyhwere from 500-700 unresisted on undead depending on Mob level. (Banish 2 now dose a solid 300+ on undead and Regular Banish is 100-140)
On regular Mobs its 380-440 unresisted also mostly depending on mob level. I havent tried it without the staff but it should be no different than any other spell with or without its Staff % wise.

As of today, you can buy Banish III from a Galka vendor behind the lake in Rabao. I paid 79,120 for it. It is a level 65 WHM only spell.

Well Its Official.. According to Playonline Banish III is going to be added into the game.. Lets see how it works out ^^
well it would be nice to have an upgraded Banish spell that does lots of damage.
Ok, some PLD type beastmen such as Orcish Protectors in Monastic Caverns, and Maat for Paladin G5, can cast this spell, but at the moment there is no way for a player to learn it and cast it, it should be removed from here: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/spelllist.html?job=paladin because that leads a lot of PLD to think they do not have all their spells when they do...

I've taken Banish III quite a few times tanking Orcish Protectors in Monastic Cavern. At lvl 60 I was getting 196 DMG from it ><

Yea from what i have heard and seen, is that later on in the future of the game, these spells will be free of able to use. But meanwhile, only mobs and Maat, cause casts suchs spells. :(

For one, every guide to PLD G5 has said that Maat casts Banish III, and also, I have stumbled accross the sound file for it, which can be accessed here

Well this spell does infact exist, I have seen a lvl 71 PLD cast it. But, I have no clue how to get it. The PLD was jp, when I asked him how he got the spell, something like [Banish] III [How?] [Help me out!]? He simply said [I don't know how to answer that question.] So... as far as actually getting this spell, I don't know, but I do however know for a fact players can aquire it.

MMMMMMMMk. Problem with that is that various monsters can cast it, see above/below depending on settings :P

I'm pretty sure I've had this cast on me in Beadeaux, but maybe it's not a spell that PCs can get? I've certainly never seen one drop.

Yeah... some nasty Sapphire Quadav casted it on me few times while Beadeaux key hunt, but Ive never seen it on AH or in any shop. Also I cant find any mob that would drop it... Anyone know something about it?

This is confirmed, some Quadavs were definitely able to cast Banish III. Rather the spell is avaiable to PCs. No idea.

you want this ...you will find it if you hunt for your af in partys and not get uber high help on the coffer keys. chek the mobs in fei yin and the eldrimine.this is what a high lvl jp told me and so far hunting for all jobs af in partys i have gotten alot i mean alot of III's type spells so i am hoping for it to drop in one of those 2 areas i have already come up dry on the other coffer locations for peoples af =( i will keep posted on the results i am hitting up those spots tomarrow for my af.hmmm never thought of that it might just drop cause it is my af lol whm

its either or. white mages can get/use this spell at lvl55 while pals need to be at lvl61.

hehe..ye can't be 61 Paladin and 55 White mage at the same time silly dill! ^^; It's either or. Both can use it. Either Paladin at lvl 61 or a White Mage at lvl 55.
