Just a thought.... With the New ranged accuracy adn attack gear that includes Throwing skill equipment..... And capped throwing skill, Wonder if sange works with Winds.... 250 dmg throwing... I'm sure that'd pull a nice sange
How is ninja powerful........

Is having the shadows all nin has to be powerful. Shadows that get ripped of with one -aga spell. I don't understnd this at all. The only job that nin is more powerful than, without including job abilities, is thf in basic weapon damage. Plus the highest damage i have seen and ninjutsu speels do i s a burst with katon. I am not complaining or anything everyone has thier own opinion about the job i just wondered how you rank nin as powerful.

BTW just got nin to 71 today. WOOT ^^

Yea, Ninja is way too powerful. Unbelievably powerful, lets nerf it SE. lmao. I'd rather use the merits to up hit points. ;p

When I'm farming I usually fight 2 mobs at 1 time I work 1 down with regular melee attacks and us my weapon skills on the other it's pretty effective for me and with this abillity I could kill a little faster I guest seems like a worthy investment to me, thats just my opinion same say its worthless or a waist but I'm considering giving it a try...
My comment.

Hmm sound's like it would be useful for soloing and farming especially in a crowded area. For example
Say your fighting 2 mobs at once but as you all know you can only claim 1 at a time so you could use this ability to quikly kill the main mob your fghting and claim the 2nd mob before someone tries to steal it from you.
thats it?

I'm a nin with sange and have capped throwing >.>. No offense dude but asking for your money back (merits)!?!? LMAO!! So far my record was 706 damage with sange. I don't see this being an ability that ninja tanks will use in pt situations but soloing and other stuff sure .. why not. Perhaps other subs need to be looked at.. we need to start looking outside the box.

How to Use Sange

I can imagine this being used in situations where NIN can prepare a little for a fight.

(1) Equip a depletable/stackable throwing ammo (darts, shurikens, etc.)
(2) Utsusemi: Ni up, wait for recast timer to reset.
(3) /ja "Sange" <me>
(4) Select your target to attack within standard RA range.
(5) /ra <t>
(6) /nin "Utsusemi: Ni" <me> ^^

Assuming you hit the target, your shadows are gone, so recast is your first priority.

This will do about 4-5 times normal damage, and consume additional ammo based on how many shadows you have remaining.

Not ChiBlast'ish like we had all hoped, but it's as close to a throwing weaponskill as SE has given any job class so far.

Misleading Description
# Jul 27 2006 at 11:09 AM Rating: Decent
The description for this ability was extremely misleading. I had purchased this ability literally minutes after the servers were back up for the update. Hopefully someone will read this before meriting this and being disappointed like I was. I even went as far as asking a GM for my merits back on this. The description made it sound like I would sacrifice shadows for a Chi Blast-type attack.

Boy, was I wrong...

Basically, it's Barrage for Throwing Weapons ONLY . Now, most NIN's don't have capped throwing skill, but after seeing what this ability is capable of, they should. I nailed a Sea Puk for about 450 damage with Sange the other day with a level 193 Throwing Skill and level 28 Juji Shuriken. Imagine that with higher level shuriken and capped throwing skill.

Before you go off and purchase this ability, just know it isn't as cool as the description says. I wouldn't say it's completely useless. 20 minute recast for a Barrage attack that sacrifices your shadows.. If you actually hit a mob with this, it's like provoking a mob with your pants down. Personally, I'd rather just spend my 6 combo points on the 6 San nukes. They're a better investment.
WTF?

It seems like ninjas got really ****** over on this whole merit thing. I'm not really excited about any of the new **** we got except maybe the ninja tool expertise, but that doesn't help out in party situations at all.

Talk about a rip-off.
WTF?

Don't be too sad. It keeps down the "NERF the friggin' overpowered NINs already!!!" stuff...
There are people out there that think both RDM and NIN are too powerfull jobs. >.>
