Rogue loadout/uiFollow

#1 Nov 20 2014 at 6:52 AM Rating: Decent
Hi, Ive been playing EQ for 15 yeas but have recently stopped and lost all my user data on my last pc that broke. What I want to know is there a way to get a pre-fabricated UI loadout with out having to go through with making 100 macros again because I don't remember for the life of me and I don't want to take 2-3 months to set it up. I am aware the http://www.eqinterface.com/ site and have searched there but it mostly seems cosmetic or even more time consuming than doing it myself. Any one that reads this that has a 95+ rogue can copy that user file and email it if any one would be willing to help. I would appreciate it so much, thank you

Sounds like you need a different game. 100 macros...2-3 months to set it up...
Yeah, you need an easier game.

No one would will think any less of you for going with WoW or STNG...he!!, go kill a few hobbits. Something has to be better/easier than making 100 macros and having a 2-3 month set-up.

It seemed ok to me. Probably 'cause I don't use many macros. I use abilities as I see fit at the time. And most people can adjust the UI to basically how they like in <1 hr, even with custom pieces, unless, it's all custom and from different sources.

Assuming you've been gone and don't remember exactly how you liked it, it may take a few days of playing to realize what's not quite right, but months seems excessive. I'd call weeks excess to just be able play. Rather than being proficient.

Anyway, Alwayslost is pretty right on in my opinion. If you're not enjoying the game (unless you like doing the setup, as some people do) after a week, you should move on.

I'll shut up, 'cause I think I made my point.

Also, if you're so crazy about macros and customization, you should always back that stuff up on a flash drive or whatever (CD / DVD even). I generally keep backups of INI files and customizations I make to the UI, as they're not stored online like others.

Meh. I'm going to have to wipe and redo my SSD that has Win7 and EQ on it and redo it. (Long story) I hate the fact that I have to reset my UI but I do get a "refresher" as to all the toon's abilities when I do so it's a lose/win when I'm done.

Good luck, ieain.

You could back up the EQ directory to a usb key or as I do to a SD card. That way you lose nothing except the refresher....
