Proposed strategy for running through dangerous area -- ?Follow

Hi all. Let's say I am a MNK/20 based in Windurst, and I want to get my Chocobo License. Of course, I have to get all the way to Jeuno, which involves a lot of really dangerous running around (before and after the boat trip between Mhaura and Selbina). But I don't want to die -- actually, I don't want to lose EXP. What if I do this: In the Mog House, switch jobs to a WAR/1 (for example), then run like the wind to Jeuno. Granted, I'll probably get aggroed and die -- but I'll lose no EXP, and eventually I should be OK. So, suppose I get to Jeuno eventually, having lost no EXP. I can now do the Chocobo quest, right?

Of course, this (possibly very dumb) idea hinges on the ability to switch the job back to MNK/20 once I reach Jeuno. So, the question is, is that at all possible? Is there a Moogle that will let you switch jobs again, in a country different from your own?
