Most of the ones i've seen are just cheesy....

for Fire "Feeling a little hot Goblin Tinkerer?"
along with all of the equally droll elememtal ones....
for Aero-"You feel a draft Snipper?"

..lame

for Poison "Spreading my Genital Disease"

..one pretty funny one was

for Bio , simply, "I **** on you Yagudo Piper"

..one great one for a Paladin was ..upon useng some WS

"Hell is your domain now!" lol

Anybody see any good ones?

Lol some of them are pretty cheesy...well one time i was partying with some kid and others and he was also a warrior like me and provoked..here was his macro: "<t> you are ugly and your mom dresses you funny." I thought that was kind of weird but also put some humor into the party....ive also had some pretty weird macros come from people just doing nothing.....

Example: I was in a party of 3 mithra, 1 elvaan (me) and 2 taru and one of the mithra's macros was: "Stares at <t> firm, supple ***." .....was pretty weird.

Well anyway there is something to show you what some people will say.

Most Annoying:

{ <Ranged Attack> InCoMiNg!!!!!!! } StIcKiNg OnE iN hIs ***!!!!!!!!!

And having it be spammed 10 times while the mob is running out of bow shot.

All the Ranger's weapon skills were similarly macroed.

I'm not much for RP'ing so I tihnk all the "in character" macros are cheesey, like "Spirits from within, heal <t>". I know it isn't funny but I think they are cheesey. Sorry in advance if I hurt any RP'ers feelings /p Spirits from within give <t> a hug. =)

A bit of both I guess.... I'd use somthing like that for a Weapon Skill macro... sometimes teh game warrants cheesyness..

Ex. My Poisona macro is somthing like "Cleanse this body of this putrid infection!"

and part of my Protectra one is "Gather around for a prayer session"

Cheesyness can be fun... none of those I have spam on are used very frequently...

I'm thinking of making Benidiction "Spirits from within!! Caress us with your sparkling healing light!!"
lol

Haha you can't win, really.

My party kept telling me I needed to have a part of my macro "announce" that i was casting, instead of just letting it say it in the log. So I put in things like "<Cure>ing <t>!"..

Then the next party I was with said I wasn't creative enough, and I should do something more RP-like. So then I did something in regards to the holy light healing, blah blah blah.

So then the next party complained about that one, said it was too boring, and I should do something funny. So i used "Hippy Tree-hugging White Mage Healing Time! <cure> <t>! ~ :D"

Next party, said to do something again more rp... bah. so i did one about the Goddess Altana and this and that.

I was then told that I should use an Avatar, and not the Goddess, but as I coudn't think of a suitable one, I just kept it... until someone said it was way too cheezy and to just put "<Curing>ing <t>!"

I can't win :P

At least I don't swear in it like a lot of people do lol

My macros are as such-

'Where's <t> going? NOWHERE!'- Provoke, in Boondock Saint tradition.

A saw a cute one from a mithra that went 'Your momma is SO fat!' or something of that nature.

My 'Steal' macro was to the effect of 'And what have we here, Mr. <t>'

Sneak Attack is the Auron line- 'You don't want to move' granted that is for the ability Threaten, but it gives the heads up to party members what is about to happen.

I keep tinkering with my WS and they range from Army of Darkness (You want a little? HUH?) to my character's (Madmartigan) namesake- 'I'm the greatest swordsman that ever lived'

Was next to some rdm in a group in Valkurm once. Had the most horrendous macro, it was in /say, LIKE ROCKS???. Everytime they cast stone this went off, and since they didnt understand the cooldown timer they hit it repeatedly.

LIKE ROCKS???
LIKE ROCKS???
LIKE ROCKS???
LIKE ROCKS???
LIKE ROCKS???
LIKE ROCKS???

One of my favorites: "I CLAIM THIS <t> IN THE NAME OF SPAIN!!"
and one I used: "Ill sell your skin to buy new shoes <t>!!"

as a thief, this one dident last long.
/em examines you
/ja "Steal" <t>
/wait 2
/em steals 100 gil!!

people dident get it ^^;;

Plain ones are ok, corney ones are ok too so long as their not taken too seriously.
After lvl20, I stripped em off all my macros except provoke, 2hours, special actions (steal, scavenge, jump, etc) and tp attacks.
I keep one on cure that reads out target and mp left, I dunno if some consider that spam.

Earlier this week I was partying in Kazham with a White Mage from the ghetto. His cure macro was "Healing <t>'s boo-tay". He had another similarly ghetto-ish macro, but I can't remember it right now. In any case it got a laugh out of me. ;-)

People who use /s for macros are clearly insane and the most annoying macro today was someone who used /em going for the big fish.... every time they fished, they were obviously a new fisher so didnt really understand delay meaning my screen got spammed with it.. so annoying and not even useful as anyone in emote range could see you were fishing anyway.

I got so tired of seeing Macros for Protectra along the lines of

Quote:
/p I'm about to at Protectra! Group hug everyone!
/wait 3
/ma "Protectra"

That mine for a bit was:
Quote:
/p About to cast Protectra.
/wait 1
/p Everyone pretend you get to gangbang the kitty!
/wait 2
/ma "Protectra"

I got some laughs from it, but a lot of people got massively offended... that was kinda funny in its own right. Then I became a great believer in minimizing spam.

My old non-party heal Macros were variations of
Quote:

/s From my mind to your body... Heal, <t>!
/ma "Cure" <t>

I still like that one actually.

I got a few good coments on my Ninja elemetal debuff magic macros when I was still a ninja. btw [] = auto translate

Wind: "This will blow you away! [Huton]"
Thunder: "I jsut have a electrifying personality! [Raiton]"
Water: "You're all washed up! [Suiton]"
Earth: "Have it on the rocks! [Doton]"
Ice: "What a chilling experience! [Hyoton]"

and i can't remember what i had with fire. Anyway, each of them had a second line (yeah yeah, i know, spam) to explain what it did, such as "Fire Debuff" for Ice. Ninja spells are screwy. Cheesy, but they work.

My LS group and I partied with a WAR/MNK a while back who had macroed the following for every time they did a Boost:

/s My Power is Overwellming!!

Yes, the person had spelled it incorrectly :P

I poke fun at him with my LS by occasionally putting "/s <t>'s Odor is Overwellming!!" in my Deodorize macro ;) Hehe.

Heh.. like the above poster.. I've grouped with a monk who had

/p "Mmm Steriods!!"
every time he boosted.. and it was spelled lke that too.

He was galka, we told him he spelled it wrong, and he was like "bah, spelling aint for galka"

My provoke macro is:

/p Your anger betrays you. (Provoke for <t>)

It only requires one line, its pretty noticeable, and all meaningful words are translated. I think it goes along good with my ninja.

A good one for a paladin provoke should be:

/p Face me, <t>! I shall be your opponent!

I can deal with using a /say for a macro, especially if it's a cool spell, or you're in the low level land where there isn't much spam, and the players are usually spread out and thus won't complain about the say.

However - people need to learn the difference between say and shout. There isn't anything as annoying as hearing someone's cure macro throughout the entire zone. :)

The best macro I think I've ever seen has to have been a white mage's Raise macro.

It waited until the raise went through, and you got that 'Accept Raise' Yes/No. It must have been /t <t> Game Over! Would you like to play again? :)

My Provoke has no /p line, as I am pretty sure people can tell that I just provoked by the big orb that is made and the monster is now facing me. I do use a /echo Provoke in 15 and /echo Provoke ready.

When I use Ninja debuffs I use simple, Using (Hyoton) ice damgae lowered. Debuffs like blind, slow, and paralyze I do not announe, as the chat window will say if the mob gets that effect.

I don't have an say for steal, no reason that anyone needs to know. Sneak Attack I announce and give 3 second timer, since it is very important that people know, "Using Sneak in 3 seconds".

All the RP macros or nonsense to me, I often open chat while fighting cause I thought someone actualy said something useful, but no, it's just an annoying little, "I will bring thee to thine knees, JUMP!". I'm sorry but all that stuff is just way to annoying to me, but I can't rain on someone's parade for it, just wish I could filter that kind of party chat ^^. Maybe I should make one that says "Go Go Gadget STFU macros that are annoying!"
