I was thinking about trying to exp on antlions in attohwa chasm (bored of onzozo), is there anyone that can give some advice on what to look out for with these mobs?

such as special attacks, buffs, weaknesses and strengths

First off, awesome post! I wanted to comment on one thing though.

Quote:
Yhoator Jungle
44-46 Camp a little to the west of the Ifrit’s Cauldron Zone line. Pull Goblin Hunters.
46-48 Same Camp. Pull Goblin Reapers and Bouncers.

I went with a party of 46-48 last night and did the bouncers etc there, and got extremely bad exp. Less than 100 sometimes, and not just on hunters either.

Excellent, excellent post. Many thanks for narrowing down my possible recon areas. I do the same thing when I find myself in an SP.

Very good post, rate up. Just a few comments...

-When fighting Evil Weapon type mobs, make sure all the DRKs in your party know that they are Arcane, and that Arcane Circle actually has a use for that party. Same with golems, dolls, bombs, elementals, and anything else that aggros to magic.

-For fighting Rumblers, go downstairs into the big round "racetrack" room, and there's a path that leads to a group of rumble crawlers off to the southwest. There are five, four in a small room and a fifth one in the path that leads to helm beetles. Camp around where the fifth one spawns, but be careful when fighting and make sure you're always ready for him to spawn unless you just recently killed him. Room for one party, and you'll wind up pulling other mobs from outside that room while waiting for the rumblers to respawn.

-In Garlaige for levels 32-36 or so, you can camp near the switches for the first banishing gate. Just be careful not to go too far away from the gate, as a beetle spawns somewhere outside that small room. Also, there's another small "room" if you go straight back from the bottom of the stairs; I don't know if anything spawns there, but I saw some Japanese players camping there while searching for the ??? for Teleport-Dem. Note that you'll need Sneak/Invis to get to those camps, and be careful of bombs and magic jars.

wow....a lot of good info here! I have yet to take a character past yhoater .... really my exploration has been nil.

The 10-12 basic places to lvl up to 30 is all I have done. I need to get around to lvl more and this will really help. Rate up for this one!

Great guide. Here are a few more I know of.

23-25 Weapons in Qufim Island. With Blink tank there can be good and most people won't fight you for them.

25-27 Mandragora in Yhutunga Jungle at cave for Yhoater Jungle zone. 1 PT only though.

65-68 Hobgoblins in Bibiki Bay. Can't remember exact location of the camp, but the best spot was directly before you find the first Hobgoblin.

I'll post more when I can think of them.

I was actually trying to find this post yesterday ^^

Thanks so much for the information!

One addition:

31-35 Purgonorgo Isle (take Manaclipper from Bibiki Bay) pull Alraune (black mandys) and Toucans:

Camp all around island, its pretty empty of people, could probably host many groups. Pretty much everything on this island is made for this level. Avoid the Coralline Uragnite, they are nasty and very hard to kill. One Viscous Clot (jelly) spotted on island - it aggros, but everything else is ok. The Alraune and Toucans DO link, though, so be careful about this.

Any other alternatives to Garbage Citadel between 48-50?

I was thinking of trying 48-51 Toraimarai Canal :Fallen Knight/Lich

I have never been to Crawler's Nest and Garailage Citadel and I will damned if I start now!

Quicksand caves are too crowded...

Until the 70s, we have leveled on 200+ mobs only because my static was able to kill them quickly and hit chain 6 almost everytime with no downtime (EXP per hour ranges from 6.5K - 8K ). So, the numbers I list are those that a REALLY competent party can take, not just any random pickup party. Add one or two levels onto the ones I have provided.

It should also be said to anyone that does not have sky -- GET IT. Leveling past 68 on the group is really, really, really painful. Ro'Maeve is an alternative but you're constantly around magic aggro mobs from 360 degrees as well as no matter where you camp you will get a pop monster. Once you level off of weapons in sky you'll be so damn glad you went through the trouble of getting access; it really is a godsend after 65+.

Cape Terrigan
54-57 Beach Bunny, Sand Lizard, Goblin Alchemist/Bandit/Mercenary/Shepard: You camp by the SW side of the outpost as nothing that aggros wanders over there. Everything listed above has low attack, low defense, and low HP. Just literally pull whatever you see and keep the chains going. Repops are around 7 minutes so you won't have a shortage of monsters. Be careful, as Goblin Shepards call upon Rabbit Familiars and they DO link with bunnies.

Bibiki Bay
62-64 Hobgoblin Fascinator/Martialist/Venerer, Tropical Rarab: This sounds strange, but there are only 5 monsters you cycle through. Yes, I said FIVE. "We can't level off of only 5 monsters!" Sure you can, when they have a repop timer of 5 minutes :)

Fascinator is BLM, Martialist is WAR, Venerer is RNG. The two rarabs are there to hold the chain while you get a hobbie to pop. To get to camp you basically enter Bibiki Bay, head southwest until you see the one Hobgoblin Martialist. Back up and set up camp in the tunnel -- only one party can fit here. If you have a Paladin and Bard in the group, have the Paladin stand by the tree as a referrence point for songs.

Shrine of Ru'Avitau
67-70, Decorative Weapons: I can't really list a camp, as there's at least 6 throughout the shrine. The *best* camp is the mobile one, where you alternate between two gates -- each gate has 7 weapons -- and have your mages stand behind the door so when it closes they can reopen it.

Shrine of Ru'Avitau
69-72, Aura Weapons: "Eww! RDM mobs!?" Yeah, because they have pitiful defense, attack, HP, and their AoE hits for half as much as the Decorative Weapons even though Aura Weapons are 2 levels higher. Suck it up, silence them, and have fun with flowing EXP. There are at least 4 camps I've spotted running through the shrine various times, if not more.

I do *NOT* reccommend Aura Statues to any party because:

  • 1) They have an innate magical defense much like magical pots. Resists are very common.

  • 2) They have a very high physical defense as well as more HP than the weapons -- they're just not worth the trouble.

  • 3) There is only really ONE camp in the entire shrine and only one party can fit comfortably.

  • At level 74 Aura Weapons (at my own camp) are still giving anywhere from 160-190 EXP per kill not counting chain bonuses. Yeah, it's lower than we're used to compared in the past, but the EXP per hour is the same and my two RNG are actually using less arrows. At level 75 when I get halfway into the level and switch on merit EXP we will be staying here.

Also, Shoal Pugils are not good EXP in Buburimu as there are only 2-3 fishes per beach and they have a repop timer of 16 minutes; I wouldn't even put that as an option. Trying to pull crawlers and dhalmels isn't really an option as they're so far away from the beaches.

    Do the Peter Griffen Bump!

Ohh, I might as well add something while I am here.

Rumble Crawlers in CN: Someone already stated where they were, and they were right on. Sneak and Invis and head west from the "secret room". I want to say the hallway where the camp was is at G-8 ish, but don't take that as fact.

Also, this camp was able to support 3 partys the other night. There were two partys in the 46-47 range, and one party of 55+. The two partys of 46-47 were sharing the rumble crawlers, and then we would pull in what ever else we could find, bt we would stick to mainly Exorays and scorpions. There was some slow down at times, but all in all great exp.

I can't really vouch for the 55+ party, as I think they might have been going after chest keys, but I could be wrong. I know they were pulling in Helm Beetles and Crawler Hunters.

Some new info from another forum (untested, but I plan on trying it out this weekend):

"Those hect eyes who are near the zone to shakrami in attowa (however you spell this) gives good exp from 25-31. Yes they do have petrify but it actually wares off in about 10secs which is reasonable enough. They are very good alternative to Kazam. I leveled my ranger from 27-31 in 3hours."

Sounds like gold for us Ninja's who can't get a party to go to Altepa. Of course, there still remains the problem of getting a party at this level to get out of the Jungle.. but still, this sounds awesome.

I'd just like to second this, very good info, and I am in this stage with my g/f right now. Excellent EXP here.

the camp he is refering to is F-8. You *can* have two parties here, but the pulling becomes thinner. The camp he is talking about is the top part of F-8. You can also go to the southern part of F-8 and camp as well. The Dhalmel there will not aggro.

Does anyone have any detailed info about exp'ing on the higher level hobgoblins in here?
