Uleguerand Range
Camp: Unknown Specific Camp
PT Lv51-53 - Enemy: Esbats
PT Lv51-53 - Enemy: Variable Rabbits
Details: More information is needed.

In regards to this. Forget Esbats as I've never been deep enough to find them. However as soon as you zone into Uleguerand Range, you can camp at zone immediately so no <pos> is needed. Rabbits are there at zone. They don't aggro nor do they link. You will also see Uleguerand Tiger and Snoll (bomb).

You can exp off of the Tigers and Rabbits. Even the bombs if you will lucky enought against self destruct.

I've got another one for ya in Western Altepa Desert.

The area down by (E-9) at The Oasis of Hubol

I dont know what level party would find these goblins at IT because I exp off of them at EM-T (49bst/24whm) The goblins ranger from lv 50-58, and goblins are always good exp.

The camp itself is very safe, only fallen Knights and Liches pop at night, and the goblins themselves to aggro. This area can easily support 2 parties, any more would be difficult.

Getting to the oasis is easy on chocobo, you will need sneak/silent oil to return, everything aggros sound.

I find a lot of good little exp places in my soloing adventures. and i often wonder why there isnt a party exping there atm. So i will definitely post here more often with my new findings!

Ok, so this guide was recently edited but alot of it is very wrong....

Decorative weapons in Shrine of Ru'Avitau are good with a 73 in your PT chaining like mad. The guide says they are good till lvl 70, which is not true. and it also says they are good at 67, and i don't know how you could effectively fight them at lvl 67, unless a great PT.

Also it says that weapons and golems behind the moon gates are good to EVEN 75??? Golems and Weapons behind the moon gates are bad at 72...

These are just some things that need to be fixed:

Moon gate Golems and Weapons 68~72
Shrine of Ru'Avitau 69~73

i didnt see it in your list.. but
Bibiki Bay is still good at 70. you can chain Catoblepas well around 68-71 before the exp gets bad. look for chain 4 and 5s they cure them selfs and use berserk, the cures will heal them for around 1k each time they use it and when they berserk its best to let the DD go all out. as a 70 rng i can barrage > slugshot then do a couple normal ranged att and it drops dead.

Mm, exp kinda sucks on Ro'Maeve weapons at 55. There are too many low VTs for under 100 base exp.

something to add for Bibiki Bay:
66-68 Goblins (Just watch for Blaggers and Physicians)
67-70~ Dahmels (Ones next to F-10 are lower level)

Could you explain then? The OP said to camp at the zone. And I thought (Though of course, I can be wrong) that moon was for much higher levelled people.

I don't know what level you can camp at the zone of Ru'Avitau but, everything near the zone checks as EP to me as a lvl 73

Wow, Ambrose! I just linked to this post in another place and was checking my link. You've really worked on this thread since then! Since I can't re-rate it /excellent I am going to rate one of your random replies up man.

Here is my tentative suggestion- perhaps crosslinking the leveling areas to quests or missions that can be accomplished in the area at around that level range would be good. Imagine if we could accomplish later quests and missions with the same camraderie and ease that everyone gets their sub-job items. SE was no less brilliant about the placement of other quest rewards as they were about SJ items!

I've been using your thread for information for quite a while and wanted to say thanks! I really like the new set up, too. Even easier to reference.

Great thread.

Just a note. My static party of level 63 was fighting steelshells and processionaire in Boyahda Tree.

We decided to pull one of the Korrigan (the black mandragora) just for the hell of it. We loved them. Much *much* softer than the steelshells, if not a bit more annoying. They have the classic AoE sleep, and I saw one special that hit our DRK for 340ish damage, but other than that, they seemed great. We'll be intermixing them with processionaire on Tuesday.

Hope this helps.

Gonna have to try Korrigan. Steelshells were too hard to take down with my semi static. Skimmers were a MP drain with their AOE attack that did massive damage. Processionaire would probably be the best but the problem was that so many parties were pulling them that finding them were hard to do. We'll see how Korrigan do.

Keeping the Korrigan debuffed *really* helps. A round of paralyze means possible prevention of a triple attack. They hit relatively hard, but they're FAR softer than steelshells, and go down much more quickly.

Have a good tank, keep them debuffed, and just have the melees go all out on them. It'll go down in no time.

Hey, I got new information on the Sea Serpent Grotto camp.

Our party:
Nin/war 60
Sam/thf 60
Brd/whm 60
Blm/whm 60
Rdm/blm 61
Smn/whm 60(me)

We camped behind the Gold Door. There aren't any non-aggro camps that we were able to find, but there was one tunnel (G-10) that was safer from Water Elementals and Bats than the other locations. Primarily because the bats were condensed in the east section of the tunnel and the elemental also generally spawned in the same section. So we camped in the west section and hugged the left-most wall. This -usually- kept us out of range of Water Elemental/Bat aggro.

Aside from the bats there are also two crabs in the pond in front of you. They have a repop of 15 minutes and make great chain starters. After you clear them out there are a plethora of Devil Manta's and Sahagin's to the northwest that generally conned VT to IT.

The experience was actually very good. We usually got from 120 exp to up to 200 exp if we ended chains on Devil Mantas (Do note, even though stuff conned VT to me at 60 and would thus be T to the 61 RDM, they still gave us from 120-150 exp). But the reason it is so great is due to all the mobs. You'll never run out! And if you do, well, the Bats that I spoke of earlier con T. VT at worst.

Despite the fact that there are 5 mobs that spawn all around you that aggro, we never had any serious problems. Primarily because they're slept easy and are killed even easier. The worst threat is the Water Elemental which we only had to deal with twice. Both times we escaped and only had one death out of the entire four hours we were there.

Whew, that's a lot of information! I hope it helps! :)

55-57 Ro-Maeve I haven't tried it myself but it looks to be quite nice. Right by the zone in from Zi-tah there's more than enough weapons to make a good chain for even 2 parties, and most people not going for Sky access don't even know about it. I went through @58 for B7-1 and things by the zone were VT to me so i assume they would be ideal for a 55-57 party that could land their debuffs.

Tried this tonight as a mostly lv57 party. It was definitely exciting, and we had a good time watching all the lv70+s look at us and go "wtf?!?!" However, most of the weapons were checking VT to me (the puller, only lv56...need to fix that) and many of them were only T to the lv57s in the party, so EXP wasn't great. The few that did check as IT to me took quite a while to kill. They spam an AoE that does a fair amount of damage, stuns, and will eat the shadows off a NIN or WAR/NIN tank faster than a starving chocobo eats gysahl greens. So our tank went and switched to WAR/MNK and got smacked around heavily. Also, these guys have a really annoying trick of running *behind the walls* and hitting the mages from there. >_> That said, all our melees were in heaven because our WSes and such were hitting rather higher numbers than we'd been doing on crabs previously. Our RDM, however, was full of angst because his magic bursts were hitting for half of what they normally did (weapons are rather resistant to magic). I think this camp would be absolutely wonderful for a lv55-56 party with a PLD tank and some heavy physical damage dealers. In fact, when my PLD gets close to 55 I'll be putting together such a party to try it again.
