Hey.

I thought i'd make a thread where people want to know how to say "X" in japanese. I myself am pretty fluent so I will try my best to translate. Also if anyone else can speak japanese you can jump in :)

Please keep it to one or two lines, no paragraphs lol

Also, keep it clean :)

Anyway, not to stray from the subject, but I notice you around these sort of posts. Language related and whatnot. I was just wondering out of sheer curiousity how long you've been studying Japanese and if you have lived in/do live in/have visited Japan, and for how long?

Eh, I'm just curious like that. I want to study abroad and hopefully spend a couple of years in the Land of the Rising Sun. Still a high schooler, still studying. >.> Yeah...

I've been studying Japanese from Age 5 until now (20). So 15 years. When i was a kid, i wasn't really into it though. Didn't really get into the whole Japan thing till high school and Anime ^^ Oh and I've visited Japan on a 2 week homestay but I've never lived there.

15 years. Whoo! Nice. I'm on my 4th year. >.> 5th level. Been there twice... 2 2-week homestays. Homestays are great, ain't they.

Anyway... me 'n my friends in my Japanese class have this running joke. You have to say this in a sickeningly cute schoolgirl voice and smile while you say it!

should be oshiete for those that can't read japanese characters. Looks like just a typo, cuz the hiragana is fine.

I hate to not give notice for when I have to leave a party. I like to let people know at least half an hour in advance. How would I give that notice in japanese?

This is actually the other way around... I want to know what this word in the middle is:

{Tahrongi Canyon}‚Å@(ƒLƒŠƒ“@or ƒLƒŠƒ\ ) ‚Ç‚¤‚Å‚·‚©B

I don't quite remember what that phrase in the middle was. At first I thought it was "so", but later on I realize it might be "n". He was asking me to do something in Tahrongi, I get that much, but to do what? :D

a) japanese doesn't really have cuss words
b) the meaning changes in the context.

So i'll just take it to mean "go away"
