I made 2 movies a while ago for my linkshell.

Got some feedback stating that I should make it public, but i don't want to get killed by the bandwidth. I made the video 1/2 its size, so it looks more or less like the other low quality videos on the forums, but still exciting stuff. Hosted on my comcast account, so the site might go down if its hit too hard.

Please tell me what you think!

I liked that promy one lots... the pirate one was cool, but a little distorded with the overlayed video's. :\... was difficult to see what was happening during which instance at some parts in the video. However, that promy one... nice soundtrack and nice mixing and fading between scenes.

Yeah, the movies look wayyy better at high resolution. The overlay isn't nearly as annoying as it is in the low res version. Infact, without it the video seems to seriously lack. Thanks for the feedback - I plan to continue making them and improve my skills with each one.

I recorded the videos with a utility called fraps (registered). Then I took the video and edited it with adobe premiere. I also took remixed music i found on the web, edited it to make it longer or shorter with audacity exported it as a WAV, Encoded it with lame MP3 encoder. Took the MP3 and imported that into adobe premiere (only for song length reference). Edited the movie(s) with whatever I wanted and exported it as an uncompressed AVI. I then used a utility called virtualdubmod to encode the video with XVID and interleve the MP3 audio with it.

To present it to you guys (i made them smaller) i encoded the video 1/2 its size with a filter in virtualdubmod.

Pirates_mini: nope, just a pirate attack on the ferry, i think one drops a sand charm for a quest, and another drops a key or box or something...but nothing of great use.

prom_mini: That my friend is the not-so-new Chains of Promathia expansion areas. You MUST complete them in order to get to any of the new areas of the game. I dont see anyone doing them anymore, which kinda sucks because the new areas are fun and a nice change of pace. I LOVE doing Promy missions because the area is so new/fresh/trippy. Trust me, anyone who has been to these areas know exactly what im talking about.

why you got 4 minutes of nothing i have no idea, I checked the video and it seems fine. Anyone else expereince this problem.

I know my profile has been out of date, maybe i'll fix that someday... I am WHM70/SMN35, in prommy i am BLM30/SMN15 in each of them. (I can be WHM,SMN,THF, or BLM for promy)

If you are on Diabolos and your looking for another person to do promy missions with, give me a shout. I can't gurantee my linkshell wont have me doing something else, but I'll be glad to help or find a linkshell member that hasn't done it yet to help you out.

Diabolos has been around since the US release (i dont know if it was around since the beginning). Its fairly large, has its share of problems like the rest of the worlds. Nice mix of JP, NA, europeans, and other countries. Its not a new server.

Good ears Soracloud!

That is indeed a remix of FFVII City of the Ancients. The other soundtrack is a remix of the german band called El Nomine (E Nomine). The song is Vater Unser or something to that effect.

A few places for my songs are Overclocked Remix, Project Majestic Mix, and One-Up Studios. Basically though, if i can find a good remix (there are so many out there) and i can visualize a movie, i'll use it. Some remixers are very good artists. Keep an eye out for Dale North, Mustin, Stephen Kennedy, Mellogear, Jan Van Valburg, Jaxx, FFMUSIC DJ, and Beatdrop. Those are my fav VG remixers and there are LOTS more of them, mad props to all - they do amazing work.
