"An authentication error has occured."
I get this trying to log in. Any idea what's going on?

I'm getting this too, was thinking it was just me but I guess not.
I'm on a PS2 and get this when it gets to the "authenticating DNAS data...." part, when it hangs up and gives me the error window.
This isn't cool either. I played hookey from work this afternoon to come home and get on ffxi :-(

Nothing on PlayOnline yet - I'm going to try a reboot of my router but this sounds like a server side problem...

I was getting this yesterday on the DNAS screen. It took me 3-4 tries to get on, but I was always able to get on. Once I got on I got booted after 2hrs though. :0
Ok got on - took about 8-10 tries.
Just keep pressing "Retry"
