POL Error - 0250Follow

I have been recently getting this error while trying to do some updates since I am "Returning Home to Vana'diel". The error states that I may have to check my networking and connection, but eveything is fine.

Has anyone else suffered this problem?

My playstation died and I got a new laptop for Christmas, so I have been trying to install the game on my new laptop and I keep getting pol error 0250 after I click on FFXI to play it and tell it to download the new update. After about 5-8 mins like clockwork, it gives me this error. I have tried everything I could possibly find online to try to fix this. After a week, I got nothing. I tried contacting SE through their tech support form but it's glitching and not working either. You had this problem 8 years ago. I am sure you must have found a solution by now. Can you help me??

Onimi also hasn't posted since 2007 so... probably not gonna have a lot of luck with that.

Upon my own Googling, I found this link a long with a couple others that seem to point to it being port/router issue.

I'm not very tech savvy about these things, so I would suggest reading through these to see if they help. That is how I usually solve my issues, learn as I go!

what fixed it for me was opening up the Playonline viewer, and BEFORE logging in, click "network settings" and it says something about Check connection, "enabled" it and voila u are good to play!!!
