I do not take ANY credit for this. This is done by the great people of 2ch and KI. Thanks to both boards, you rock! Check bottom of thread for link to KI thread.

Not a lie~ ^_^

It's really simple actually.

First three letters of your name (using 'Kalainen' as an example for simplicitiy's sake): Kal for me. Take each letter and assign it a number. Here's the list of numbers:

00 a
01 b
02 c
03 d
04 e
05 f
06 g
07 h
08 i
09 j
10 k
11 l
12 m
13 n
14 o
15 p
16 q
17 r
18 s
19 t
20 u
21 v
22 w
23 x
24 y
25 z

So Kal = 10 00 11, or 100011. This is only 6 numbers as you can see. Now, for the last 2 digits, take all of the numbers, and add them, like so: 10+00+11=21

Thus, my code will be 10001121

**NOTE: Only dangruf wadi has been confirmed by me, but theory is going on the other apparatuses**

There is already one thread about this on AK(On firstpage too).
But this has a better first post. But the other also shows how to beat the other apparatuses(O.o).

gives you doctor status at strange apparatuses. So far, doctor seems mildly useless.

Just read that thread that you linked to, and here's what I derived and confirmed in Outer Horutoto Ruins...

Translate the first 3 letters of your character's name into 3 pairs of digits using the following table:

00 A
01 B
02 C
03 D
04 E
05 F
06 G
07 H
08 I
09 J
10 K
11 L
12 M
13 N
14 O
15 P
16 Q
17 R
18 S
19 T
20 U
21 V
22 W
23 X
24 Y
25 Z

Now add to each pair of digits the following values according to which Strange Apparutus you will be visiting:

00 Dangruf Wadi - Fire (Red)
01 Gusgen Mines - Earth (Yellow)
02 Crawlers' Nest - Water (Blue)
03 Ordelle's Caves - Wind (Green)
04 Eldieme Necropolis - Ice (Clear)
05 Outer Horutoto Ruins - Lightning (Purple)
06 Garlaige Citadel - Light (White)
07 Maze of Shakhrami - Dark (Black)

The result will be the first 6 digits of your password. The final 2 digits are found by adding the original 3 pairs of digits together and adding the offset value multiplied by 4.

For example:
Gomek will be visiting the Strange Apparatus in Outer Horutoto ruins.

From GOM, I obtain 06 14 12, which adds together to equal 32.
Adding 05 to each of the first 3 pairs, I get 11 19 17. Add 05*4=20 to the final pair, and I get 52.
The final result: 11191752

well this is great if it actually works i am at work so i havent been able to test them out but i question the validity due to the following:
for ex: the OP says that the last two digits are the sum of the first three ...ok great..the next poster that shows how to do it says that each apparatus is assigned a number as well...if wadi is 00 then the original OP code couldnt be what he said because any number multiplied by itself is 0...
2nd for ex: if the first three letters of a persons character is Zzz then we have a sum of 75 if they are in the maze of shakrami the apparatus assigned number being 7 you would have a total of a 103 : 25 + 25 + 25 = 75 7 * 4 = 28 75 + 28 = 103 so if somebody could enlighten me on what i am missing that would be great.

So...

UGH in Garlaige Citadel (06)

U = 20
G = 06
H = 07

[(20 + 06) + (06 + 06) + (07 + 06)] + 06 =
[26 + 12 + 13] + 06 = 57

26121357

note 20+6+7=33. 33+(4*6) = 33+24 = 57.

Dangruf Wadi is simply:
[(20 + 00) + (06 + 00) + (07 + 00)] + 00 = 33
or
20+06+07+(4 * 0)= 33

20060733

...i'll try it when i get a chance.

*ouch... rate downs...*

Now that it's been cracked, what does Doctor status actually do?

I confirmed at Dangruf, and didn't get anything out of the ordinary.

Rewards are still random, it seems.

Signed in as Doctor in Crawler's nest, Watersday, 33% Moon(Forget exact phase) and got 8 Cerment chunks.

Signed in as Doctor in Dangruf Wadi, Windsday, Same-ish Moon and got a Rune Axe.

10001121 is correct because
10 00 11 21
+0 0 0 0=0*4
10 00 11 21

And not like you have a Zzz name, but try 25252503... That would be my guess.

I am 99.99% sure Doctor status at the Strange Apparatuses will only give you your Infiniti Core back and you will not lose it.

Did you get both items back Chip and Core?
Next question

Also somone get the Admins attention to finally get the quest info changed for the strange apperatus, its been broke for two years now, Its time for it to get fixed.

G=06
I=08
M=12

Let use Crawler's Nest for you PW

Add +2 to each as the water modifier. So: 08, 10, 14

081014 is your first 6 digits.

To get you're last two digits: Take you're final first 6 digits, 08, 10, 14, add them up, and get 32; finally add the modifer 2, and get 36.

Your PW: 08101436. Note that this will only work in crawler's nest. Use ->this<- site that someone has created. Type in the first 3 letters of your name, then select the zone. The zone's are in this order:

Dangruf Wadi (Fire) = 00
Gusgen Mines (Earth) = 01
Crawlers Nest (Water) = 02
Ordelles Caves (Wind) = 03
Eldieme Necropolis (Ice) = 04
Outer Horutoto Ruins (Lightning) = 05
Garlaige Citadel (Light) = 06
Maze of Shakhrami (Darkness) = 07

Is it just me, or did a bunch of people get rated down for no reason?

Somebody probably knew the code before and don't like it being publicized ^_~

Edit: If you're too lazy to figure out your own password, use the link the poster above provided.

It's in Japanese but just enter in your 3 letters and the areas are in this order:

Dangruf Wadi
Gusgen Mines
Crawlers Nest
Ordelles Caves
Eldieme Necropolis
Outer Horutoto Ruins
Garlaige Citadel
Maze of Shakhrami

Or, all the information has been around since last night in different threads... people like to rate down for repetition.

There are a couple threads here about it... where all the same questions have been posed (and answered), and also a very long discussion on KI

http://www.killingifrit.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=75847&d=0

about it for a good while now.

I can't search the forums and I don't contstantly scan them. I also don't even go near KI.

So its news to me... and thanks for bringing all of it out.

If its redundant, someone should point it out before rating down. Thay way we get refered to the original thread and it gets bumped while the redundant thread dies.

Just how I see it.
