Whether it is true or not, those prices are ridiculous. $1500 to level from 1-75? Why buy the game if you're going to pay someone a grand and a half to play it for you?

Wrong, on so many levels.

Then, everyone here (hopefully) knows this, so posting about how wrong it is doesn't really do anything.

Here's a question: Is it better or worse, morally/ethically/whathaveyou, than buying gil? You're not supporting gil-sellers and the tactics they use, you could argue that you're not affecting the economy, but you're advancing yourself without learning your job and how to play the game, giving a false indication of your skill level to everyone who sees you.

1-75 for $1500?? Nah... I'd rather spend a couple months of my life and work inbetween.

/sigh

I'm really not surprised. We have people who farm and camp NMs to sell gil, why not make real money profit off of powerleveling? It's really sad, but explains a lot about the Dunes and why so many people don't know how to do their job later on.

I really don't get it though. What's the point then?

I saw a similar service for WoW on "Attack of the Show" I wanted to kill someone. A gameshow was advertising a way to cheat, and just U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,B,A cheat codes, but full blown cheating. What fun is having someone else get to 75 for you. I feel so sorry for anyone who pt's with the person who just has his account PL'd.

$1500. That's alot for a game. But, some accounts can go upto 2k, so they may just be selling PL'd accounts. Scary.

No mention of doing promyvions. Any guess on the cost for that?

edit: did a price/time check for lvl 1 to 2. cost: $2. time: ~1hr. wtf? 1hr? I can get to lvl 2 in 4 minuets, depending on job. Did 1-10. Cost: $23 Time: 14hrs. If you suck, it might take you 10 hrs. It's a scam. They'll sell your ID and PS and then your fcuked.

No, I read it as they have 400 customers who used their services.

What is the purpose of having a FFXI character, if someone plays it for you? Having a level 75 character but not the knowledge, experience, and fun of getting him to the level?

Then why play the game?

I just don't see the sense!

Yeah, I'd like to get my RDM gloves. Yup, I'm a 75RDM and I still don't have my AF gloves. Getting the key has been a problem for me. The LS went several times and we all died. I tried alone and died. Maybe I should get myself, 75RDM/NIN, 75BLM, and 75WHM. I'm sure we'd have a good time. I know the people and have the favors.

See, I'd rather develop the friendships and ask for the help than pay a stranger to do it for me.

After all IMHO what makes FFXI different from other games are the RL friends and in-game friends you develop.

When pointing out erroneous text, it's in one's best interest to spell correctly. I think you meant "grammar". ^^

They might as well eat your food for you since you payed for it and all.

This doesnt make sense. Your going to pay to play a game. And THEN pay people to play it for you cause you dont have the time.

Actually, I can see some people looking at a "service" like this and considering it a good idea.

True, I would never ever want to party with those people, but...

Yeah, I would not party with someone who did this. If it were a whitemage, or a paladin, they wouldn't know ANYTHING. You start to know your job at 30, if you don't experince it fully, you'll be a total n00b. This is worse than an actual powerlevel...Lol.

Well, definitely a scam. However, out of interest I decided to look up some of the information listed in their terms of service and privacy information.

So I introduce you to:

Golden Auction Internet who supposedly own the powerleveling company... if this site mirrors the way they do business, what a bunch of losers.

And also Golden Auction Internet

And Golden Auction Internet

not to support the site, but it has a forum and there also a link inside the forum that shows the progress of ppl's characters. Next time you guys should actually goto the site and read about it before you just try to dismiss it as a scam. I'm not saying the site is a good thing... but I can see how people might find this useful, especially if you have a significant other who plays with you but doesn't have as much time or vice versa. At least this is harmless imo and doesn't really cause much trouble for other players unlike cgfs and gil sellers. I personally wouldn't really cared if someone used this or not, its their money and its not hurting anyone (i mean as long as they know how to play the game already... no lvl 75 n00bs pls >.>)

Edit: also bad grammar can easily be attributed to a language barrier >.> seriously at 2.10/hr you think they live in America?
